location to NYU
More on our stay.. When I ordered room service with dinner, I asked for hot water because tea/coffee has caffeine, they brought me a tea bag n charged me for tea without asking.. We didn't stay there for only 2 days, it was 2 weeks..
Staff arranged to move us to a bigger room.
The staff tries hard, esp the German accent staff at the register desk.. Location great for NYU..
Rooms small, no tea/coffee or refrigerator in rooms
No tubs in bathroom.
Trendy hotel with major comfort. The staff was extremely accommodating from time we pulled up in cab until time of checkout. I will definitely be returning.
Location and hotel staff were great.
Very small rooms with extremely thin walls. You can hear everything being said in the hallways as if it was in your room.
I felt so comfortable, the bar, dining all exceptional. Your front desk to the door men were so helpful! Will def. be coming back!!!
Great location, chic design, lovely staff
Small rooms - however price and location overcompensate for that
Welcoming and cosy hotel with really special architectural details. Great restaurant, a respite from the busy city.
The decor and vibe of the lobby and the room was excellent. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the location couldn't be beat!
Location in a lovely and convenient part of Greenwich Village. Bat and restaurant dark and inviting and dinner was quite good although the service a bit spotty. Beautiful flower arrangement -an elegant feel in lobby and bar.. Beautiful bathroom in room with good space for two.
Dreary room! Art Deco-inspired decor but dark gold wallpaper and matching brown carpet made it feel dark and even dirty although the room was clean. Twin beds very low to the ground. It just didn't feel fresh but more old and tired. Depressing actually.
A gem in the village
The locale is right in the heart of the village and affords easy walking to great shops and restaurants!!
The beds were really small....they weren't quite even doubles we think.......and felt really short for my husband, whose feet hung off the end. I must say, however, that they were comfortable!
Atmosphere. Cute blonde girl at the reception.
Fix the banging aircon!
The staff of The Jade was helpful before I even stepped into the hotel. They took charge of my bags and had them in my room before I finished checking in. The front desk people were quick and informative. The room was warm and comfortable. But the most unexpected pleasure was in the hotel's restaurant. After a full day of sight seeing and very cold weather, I decided I would stay in and eat at there restaurant. The service and attention to details began as soon as I walked into the restaurant. The food and service was as good or better than most 3 or 4 star restaurants. Check out had the same qualities as checking in. They were quick in processing check out and informative about my transportation needs. I would stay at The Jade again.
There was nothing I didn't like or enjoy.
Staff were extremely friendly
Second stay here, and will return. Quaint, great neighborhood, fabulous decor with cozy lounge including fireplace. Rooms are perfect. Staff helpful and will go above and beyond expectations. Restaurant serves delicious food with excellent waitstaff. Perfect location!
The rooms can be a tad dark after sunset, would suggest additional lighting.
Liked the friendly staff, luxurious-feeling interior design, in house bar, and the large walk-in showers. Bathrooms were very clean and the robes were a nice touch. Gorgeous rooms have a classic feel with the furniture while still having modern amenities. Loved the tv and ability to hide it and the really strange kind of surreal hotel channel was actually kind of nice to watch while I was trying to fall asleep, even if it was all just a loop of strange, high-end fashion advertisements. Loved the banquette in our room.
No mini fridge, and really not much of a view, from our room.
Great hotel with courteous and attentive staff. My husband and I were celebrating his milestone birthday and as soon as the staff realized this, they sent us a bottle of champagne! What a kind gesture on their part and it really got our night off to a fun start. Beautiful boutique hotel that we cannot say enough good things about.
I had a weeklong intensive studio at Parsons and the Jade's location couldn't have been any better. Not only for school, but within walking distance of Union Square/Washington Square Parks and the adjacent neighborhoods. It was a quiet room which came in handy after a days worth of work.
I was given an accessible (barrier free) room. This meant that the bathroom was designed to be "wet". Not an issue for me, but slight slope of the floor meant some of the water run-off migrated to the door threshold. I was able to adjust with a few towels on the floor, but I found myself taking quick showers as to mitigate the runoff. Not a huge issue, but I felt it important to mention it.
The food served to my room was outstanding. The Southern Fried Chicken was among the tastiest fried chicken I've ever had. The Molten Chocolate Cake was almost sinful!
The bed wasn't very comfortable. I woke up each morning with a stiff back. The room itself was very small.
Personally it was very convenient to visit our family but we love the location for the peacefulness. the quiet view out our window, 13th Street is a world away from other BIG hotels. We enjoyed everything about the place. It was small but the size was not a problem because it was really all we needed. It would be nice to have a chair for a second person to sit in. We will return we were very happy to find a place in the village. Around the corner from Murray's bagels can't be beat!
The Jade Hotel is "beautiful and romantic" on the outside, and "charming and cozy" on the inside. But none of that would matter without the truly special group of people that make up the hotel staff there at The Jade. They were the most genuine, helpful, and sincere group of people that I've come across in quite a long time. I LOVED being there!
