We enjoyed out stay because the hotel was very cozy and personable. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were small but comfortable. The location was very convienient.
We pulled up in our taxi completely wowed, from the warm glow of the gas lanterns to the super pleasant personality of the doorman sharing his favorite local eats. It was a wonderfully quaint, stylish and most perfect place to hang our hat.
The elevators were very small...
A cosy, friendly and welcoming place in the heart of the village. The staff were super helpful ,the breakfasts were exceptionally good and the ambience was warm and"feel good". I loved it!
Nothing I didn't like.
Location, charm and style
Great location, nice staff
Room is way too small, I can`t imagine how two people fit there, and the mattress is uncomfortable, very soft, moves all around
Near union square and grinwich village and nyu. Comfortable room and settings.
Heat was broken first night. There was nowhere in the room to put our bags.
We stayed here at the end of our round the world trip. The hotel is beautiful, as are the rooms, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay incredible (quite literally.) If you want a beautiful, friendly and homely hotel in an amazing part of New York then this is it.
Location is 2 blocks from our daughters apartment. It's like this hotel was created just for us. The front desk staff told us that on our next stay we would get a discount because our daughter is a neighbor. Everyone who works in the hotel is helpful, courteous, and professional.
No business center. But the front desk printed our airline boarding passes after we emailed them the info. So not really a complaint.
Cool, comfortable with friendly staff. Carlos on the door especially. Great area and easy to navigate. Free wifi and very comfy beds.
Nothing would stay again
The front of house staff made us feel very welcome, lovely toiletries, great location.
The service staff were very noisy, the walls weren't sound proofed so we were woken up by doors banging, loud conversations, people waiting for the elevator etc.
The building, the ambience, the room decor and comfort of the room. Staff were also excellent. The location was perfect for exploring the city, close enough to walk most places and quiet of an evening. Breakfast was delicious!
The toilet was situated (unnecessarily) too close to the sink, making it awkward to sit on. Room was on the small side, but will forgive this as everything else great. Need more hooks for hanging as not enough cupboard space for 2 people for a week.
Breakfast was excellent, next time we will try dinner. Helpful, friendly staff. Great looking lobby
Rooms a tad small, with lack of garment storage. No other complaints
The doormen were helpful and nice; especially Irving. Front desk was quick and no hassle since we payed on Booking. The room was small but that is typical for NYC boutique hotels but really nice. I loved the modern deco decor of the bathroom and it was a really good size. Breakfast at the restaurant was pretty tasty.
Mattresses was so so.
The location was excellent for our purpose of visiting universities which were within walking distance from the Jade. The front desk staff as well as the bellman were very helpful with anything we required.
Too hot in the room, had to open the window.
Size of room, not even room to open our suitcase on the floor and there needs to be a door on the shower as it sprayed into the room no matter what we did.
I would like some better lighting for reading in bed, also the light over the entrance mirrorr was very dim.
Decor, the restaurant, the staff, the location, etc.
The room was small. It was a double room. I am from Ohio though, and I understand why NYC needs to do this. The bed was too short and I am only 5'4. Overall, I loved it and will stay there again.
Terrible heating oil odours every night due to building next doors fumes blowing directly into hallways.. Felt we were choking on diesel fumes all night and had to open window even in freezing conditions. Preferable to choking.
Bar / restaurant great, very friendly bartenders and staff.
Liked the atmosphere, food, restaurant, interior, location You can open a window!
Elevator can be quite slow when lots of people are in the hotel. Quite pricy
The lugage man, I think his name is Peter. The location and the room, two beds.
Front desk was very helpful and friendly
I did not think the room was worth the rate. Very small. Would not stay there again, have had better value in same area
Friendly and attentive staff. Great location, not touristy. Amazing restaurant. Quaint rooms.
No shower door, water got everywhere when showering. Only negative.
