“ The Jane Hotel is in an amazing location and was able to reach some of NY's coolest areas in no time by foot or by subway. I loved the design of the hotel and even though the rooms are tiny - they had all I really needed. ”

Location Bathrobes TV Airco Showers Safe Mattresses were very bad! The springs were pushing our ribs! We really had to search for a place that was not painful. Even after getting a extra layer it was still not comfortable.

Unique hotel with sailor spirit in a great location: next to High Line, Chelsea Market, subway within walking distance (5 min), friendly and helpful staff. The captain's suites are nice and offer everything that is needed for a city trip. Nice restaurant (Gitane) with Moroccan cuisine at the hotel. There might just be a lack of space (even in the captain's suites) if you have big suitcases with you.

Great location for solo traveler, easy walk to Metro, helpful staff. Quiet; seldom saw another visitor even at full occupancy. Room 330 and 615 - I stayed in both rooms with 2 separate trips within an 8 day span; warm days in NYC and window A/C didn't cool very small room.

Shower and bathrooms on the 4th floor The 3rd floor. People smoking and filling my room full of smoke, and the smoke alarm going off during the middle of the night due to the people smoking. No reaction from the staff to attempt to stop the people smoking, should just make that a smoking floor.

The location was fantastic, subway stations were within easy walking distance. Lots of great restaurants and shops in its area. The hotel itself was wonderful, very charming. The Jane will be my first hotel choice for my next trip to New York. The room was on the small side, but was really all I needed.

I liked the location and the service of the staff. It would be impossible to imagine rooms that were as small as they were. With the luggage just barely in the room, it was almost impossible to get in to the beds. I found it annoying that no where in the ads did the hotel state that the bathrooms were shared.

Location; the building itself; the room; staff was very nice; the cafe was very good Our room was close to a dance club that was super loud and didn't stop until 3 A.M. Not a problem on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday nights, but Thursday night we couldn't get to sleep until the club was closed. We could feel the vibrations from the bass.

Very good value for money. The rooms are very small and basic but are clean and functional which is exactly what I needed for my trip (i.e. somewhere to put my head down rather than somewhere to relax!). The shared bathroom facilities were always clean and maintained well. They also provided free wi-fi and water which are both important features for me. Rooms are very small so not great if you need somewhere to spend your day but this is reflected in the price paid.

I liked of organization and cleaning of the hotel! The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The localization is very good, near to metro station. I found the price a little bit expensive for the room size. The room is so so so much small.

Cute little room ... Tiny but adequate. Bed was surprising comfortable. Bar is FABulous! Loved the whole atmosphere/ambience. Shared bathroom not really my thing. Wish I'd brought flip flops as the floors were less than clean looking. Hard to get the temp right in the room ... Too cold with the a/c on and too hot without! It was a but all or nothing!

I went to the Jane with my 16 year old daughter and we loved the location. Easy to reach the rest of the city but set in a beautiful quiet and leafy area. We also loved the style of the hotel which is authentically retro. The restaurant is reasonably expensive so popping down for a coffee in the morning isn't cheap. We stayed in the small cabin room and it really is very very small. Just enough room to lie one suitcase down and open it, but only one at a time. If your need space and want to spend time in the hotel relaxing, this isn't for you. But if you want a cool room to sleep in, in a great area - its good.

I loved the style of the hotel, small accommodation, but beautifully clean and equiped with everything you need. Staff were friendly and professional Vending machines would be a bonus The bar is very busy on Fridays and Saturdays with locals, to the extent that guests can feel like their in the way
