Simply a lovely old world hotel that is manicured and has an outstanding staff. I look forward to my next visit.
My room was a little small.
from the minute of arrival nothing is too much trouble. the staff are friendly professional and top notch.
no tea making facilities in room
Loved the holiday cheer and exceptional hospitality.
The room was a bit small, but lovely decor.
We had a problem with our requested room. The staff made the change for us even though it was not required by them.
Décor, Staff, Location, Food, Bar, Ambience.
Lack of Coffee in Rooms. It would have been nice to make a coffee to order
Best hotel in the universe. Can't say enough. Felt pampered and special - location couldn't be better unless you slept on the steps of the White House. Staff was incredible, every detail perfect. I wept at having to leave :(
I have always preferred small intimate hotels such as The Jefferson. However, too often small hotels fall short but not The Jefferson. From check in to check out, the staff could not have been more gracious. As I was traveling alone, I felt safe, secure and looked after at The Jefferson. This included the parking of my car and the offering if bottled water for my drive. The decor in my upgraded suite was truly exemplary. The personal touches, sculpture, artwork and books added a dimension that is so rare these days that I was surprised and thrilled. I even read one of the books on the table instead of the one I brought along! The bathtub was perfect for me. Given that I am short, all too often the length of the tub leaves me uncomfortable and taking a shorter bath than desired. Here the tub was not only comfortable in length but also allowed for a true soaking experience . Needless to say, I read in the tub for over an hour !!!! The quantity and quality of the towels and robe added to relaxing and stressless bathing. The breakfast I shared with a colleague in the dining room was perfect. The choices were varied for most palettes. The staff was superior in that they were attentive and responsive without bring obnoxious. The dining room in exquisite and the flowers inspirational.
Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to explore the other common rooms or spa. While the welcome tray of fruit, cheese, nuts, and champagne were lovely and much appreciated, the unripe peaches should have stayed in the kitchen a few more days before serving.
Good location, Historic, Good service, lovely People.
It's one of the best hotels perfect and excellent in everything you might think of Thank you so much you made our stay very enjoyable
Everything was top quality. The location is excellent.
Cramped tables in the bar. Small bathroom. Lack of a trouser press in the room.
Staff excellent, bar fun, and plume great
Location - very difficult to get a taxi, even with an effort to arrange ahead of time
Excellent boutique hotel minutes away from the white house. Great location. Attentive but unintrusive staff. Best lobster eggs Benedict I had for breakfast.
The room was so well put together. I felt compelled to video chat with my spouse to show off the room. The bed was comfortable and linens comfortable. The bathroom shower was excellent with plenty of water and pressure.
That I only got to stay here one night. That I felt on my next trip with kids the hotel is too nice to bring my three active boys. But seriously - there's a lot to like an very little to dislike
Free coffee & iced tea, excellent room service, Quill, Christopher the concierge was wonderful, Melana at reception took great care of us, daily maid and turn down service, complimentary Jefferson bottled water excellent touch, Wi - fi service
No daily newspaper is all I can think of that stands out from other 5 star hotels
wonderful hotel, perfect location, all good!!
Almost everything is excellent in this hotel
Car Parking is expensive
Not another cookie cutter hotel You can feel the history Restaurant Lobby is gorgeous
A proper spa would be nice
High quality bedding and great bathroom.
We notified the hotel in advance of our late arrival. The room we were allocated was not as requested and confirmed. We were eventually offered the requested room. For the price there should be tea/coffee and ironing facilities in room. They offer to iron one garment pet stay free of charge! This hotel is quite formal and more suited to the executive than the holiday maker.
Bar under my bedroom
From the moment I arrived until the moment I departed, the staff and amenities were top-notch!
Beautiful rooms, decorated in a very sophisticated style.
I loved this hotel; the staff could not do enough and was always helpful and smiling. The beds and pillows were really comfortable, which is not always the case. I loved the power crunch breakfast, so much in fact that I had it everyday. There was also a "house car", which was extremly convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The TV in my bathroom didn't work, but that was no big issue - I don't tend to watch TV in bathrooms anyway.
Great attention to details and easy location.
