Had a nice party at the Keating with a group of friends. The staff was very accommodating.
The staff members are the best, very thoughtful and funny
The bed and the pillows were very comfortable.
The room was much smaller than expected, and the sink and shower were not separated in any way from the bed. The kicker was when both sinks backed up with dirty water at 1:00 in the morning, waking both of us up. The sinks filled to halfway and then drained. When we called the front desk there was no help given at all, and in the morning the front staff didn't mention it either. We booked this hotel with breakfast included in the price, but in the morning we were told that breakfast had been discontinued in November 2014. The hotel reminded us of a European hostel--fine for kids but not acceptable for seasoned travellers.
The location is great, and the bed was comfortable.
I didn't like the charges to my card for multiple mini bar items that we did not use, consume, or drink. After speaking to the front desk they said they would refund my card. Took two more calls and emails to finally get my money back.
The location and the view from our suite was outstanding. The staff was friendly and entertainment out of their way to provide excellent service!
Slow elevator, no breakfast
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Outstanding staff too
The staff is fantastic; amenities, mini-bar, tv/sound system, shower are all wonderful. The decor is black and red and deco & it's fun!
Good daytime staff let down by poor overnight staff unwilling and unable to deal with serious issue.
Faulty ventilation unit on roof caused entire room to vibrate in response to the high decibel roar we endured all night. Night staff rude and unhelpful, tried to blame roadworks outside (disproved after checking the road myself at 3am). Did not offer alternative room although hotel was empty. Maintenance staff in morning admitted the fault. No offer of compensation or follow-up from management. This is not how to run a hotel.

Was noisy during the weekend Parking very expensive
The hotels we usually stay at were not available to us so we tried the Keating Hotel. It was in a great location and very unique in style. It's in a historical building and had a lot of character . The staff was friendly and helpful.
It is an older building and we were on the 4th floor and discovered the elevator was very slow. Really not a big deal though and taking the stairs wasn't bad.
Perfect location, very close to Gaslamp Quarter. The room we got (penthouse) was very spacious, clean, with great design.
VERY spacious rooms Champagne at check-in! Lots of amenities (yoga mat, umbrella, snacks, etc.) Coffee in room Coffee in lobby with biscotti! Very modern Big cascading shower
A little shabby, some parts of the room need updating
Everything! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The suits was beautiful and their room service was fast and excellent. Officially my favorite hotel!
Maybe just doors in showers but it wasn't a big deal.
try to cancel but couldn't have to go to the ER on the day of my reservation and two days later i have surgery. still recovering from the my surgery.
At 8:00 pm i recieve a call from the front desk To Tell me that there was a complain from the people who was staying in the room down from mine because when i walk in My room the steps was to loud! I always respect the others but in that case i Think the guests down me dont have to complain because i was walking without shoes!
The staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. They made excellent dining recommendations, assisted with directions and arranging for taxis. The rooms are very comfortable and modern.
Being in the Gaslamp District there was some noise from the street and some or our hotel room neighbors partied rather loudly. No fault of the hotel, comes with the location.
Gray floor in the room.
The room (4-C) was a BAD JOKE, particularly for $170. Cold cement floor, no carpets, open shower water splashing out, no drawers, no desk surface, a single chair, clothes had to be hung in a ridiculous contraption WiFi hardly worked, could not open window because of the noisy air- conditioning below, we LEFT AFTER A SINGLE NIGHT.
Cute decor, champagne was a cool surprise.
Shower needs a door or longer floor mat, everything gets wet.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location was good. The room was clean. The shower was nice. Double sinks were good, and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel is going for a modern feel, which is fine. But it was often at the expense of some obvious functionality, e.g.: -The lights were all accessed from panels on the walls far away from the bed. It was impossible to read in bed and not have to get up to turn out the lights. -The room is open concept, which is nice -- but left pretty much no room at all for privacy. Even for a couple that is close, it's nice to have a bit more privacy when going to the bathroom (there was a pocket door in front of the toilet, but that did not provide much of a sense of privacy). -The TV and sound system was overly complex. Simpler is better sometimes. -There was too much crap for sale scattered all over the room -- and nothing was labelled with a price, so we didn't use anything for fear we would get charged for it (like the soap and shampoo). Having said all that, if you are looking for a different kind of setup in a room, it may be worth some of the inconveniences. It was definitely different than the average hotel. Oh, one other thing: they say that they have free bike borrowing, but that's just for an hour. After that, it's $10/hour.
staff were amazing, great location and view
the housekeeping forgot to refill the shower supplies( shampoo, shower gel ...etc.) a couple of times
Excellent service friendly, was greeted w/a smile
High ceilings. .views to the street
dusty room, not ready before 4pm
