It was very clean, FULL OF CHARM and character! This little hotel is an OASIS in the bustle of the city! Not really. Parking was a little tight. |

The hotel is located in a very cool restored firehouse. Wonderfull plush towels. Room unimpressive (king on 7th floor). Cheap closet doors. Scratchy sheets (250 thread is not high quality). Cluttered lobby. I was most bothered, however, by the parking garage and the easy access anyone has to any floor of the hotel. No card key required to use elevator! No security in garage. Elevator should not go beyond 1st floor - people should be forced to change elevators and come out into the lobby where they can be seen or recorded by security cameras. |

Friendly staff, small intimate size makes you feel welcome and cared for; fantastic breakfast lunch and dinner in hotel--gourmet, locally grown and organic food. Perfect location to see all of Boston and Cambridge, near T |

Front desk service, room size and arrangement, location, nearness to "T" (subway) station, part of town, in-house restaurant food. In-house restaurant staff was cold and aloof. Regular prices are high; the price you got for me was outstanding! Furniture in room was charmingly antique but easy chair was pretty broken down (I added pillows to make it more comfortable) and painted surfaces were sticky to objects placed on them, like my books and magazines. |

The decor is a knock-out. The hotel may not have room service, but the overall feeling so caters to your sense of comfort it's not needed. Truly a gem of a hotel. Somewhat sterile location, but still close enough to things to get around easily. |

I saw all good feedbacks about this hotel checked my self and agreed. The hotel is very good. Nicely designed hotel. Very polite stuff. Nice timing of the breakfast – lasts till 10am. You almost can’t hear your neighbors that’s prefect. Very convenient location and good price. |

The staff was excellent and very friendly. The desk clerk loaned me her personal umbrella when they ran out of their loaners. They have free WiFi and a free business center Limited parking and had to pay $20 per night. The ice machine was located on the 1st floor, not on my floor (3rd). |

Close to Train Station and bus travel. Hotel room was very clean and well maintained. If Hotel was full then it had a big problem seating guests for breakfast. |

We loved the atmosphere of our "Firehouse" (original section) room. Antique feel with modern comforts. Lobby decoration is very eclectic and comfortable and breakfast was good. |

The rooms were comfortable and spacious, & I liked the very individual hotel decor. The night receptionist who greeted us on arrival was very friendly and helpful. The hosted wine hour on the 7th floor was pleasant. 1. The breakfast room was overcrowded and the waitresses appeared overworked - had to wait ages for toast as the waitress had forgotten, had to wait on several occasions for more food to be brought out, & the queues for breakfast were always long. 2. There is only provision for coffee in the room - no tea, and teaspoons aren't provided in the room to stir your drink with. 3. Parking was very tight. |

wonderful, comfortable rooms. The free morning buffet staff didn't seem nearly as welcoming as the rest of the hotel people (front desk, housekeeping). Would probably cause me to look elsewhere for dinner reservations. |

This is the most immaculately clean hotel I have ever stayed at! The king-sized beds were wonderful. I highly recommend it. I read on-line reviews from this site before booking and the high average rating of 9.3 helped us make up our minds to stay there. The American breakfast served was simply delicious and so much more than the typical continental fare offered by most hotels. If I return to Boston in the near future, I will certainly stay at the Kendall and I will recommend it to friends! The only real problem that I see is parking--it is very limited--we had a large SUV and were there on a weekend so the hotel suggested we park in the nearby bank parking lot--but during the week, I think this would have posed a problem as the vehicle would not be able to make the sharp turn into the underground parking at the hotel. Also, it would be a great service if the hotel considered offering a shuttle to Fuenille Hall. We did get somewhat lost on the subway system! |

Pleasant atmosphere; excellent breakfast; interior design, lobby and rooms...my son and I both very much liked the place. The room rate wasn't cheap, but it was quite acceptable, considering what hotels cost in the Boston area. It provided an ecxellent location for us, being right at mit and a t stop. Insufficient places to put our luggage. The room was large enough. I had a kingsize bed room with my son. You can fix this luggage problem for this type room by moving the armoire (sp?) one foot to the to the right. This results in two improvements. 1) is the space it provides to the left of the armoire by the door to the bathroom for a foldout luggage rack. And 2) the television is closer to the central line of the bed. A second luggage support rack can symmetrically go under the two windows. A third rack can go against the wall opposite the windows. 3 racks will be sufficient for most guest pairs. Maybe a fourth can go in the bathroom to the left. But you only provided one rack! Perhaps we should have asked for more. |
