Score from 162 reviews Wonderful
The staff was exceptional- the breakfast the best "inclusive" I have experienced, and the overall experience was top notch. The restaurant was incredible, and I have returned again since my stay.
Style, rooms, Décor, cleaniness
Staff was difficult to find, bar closes to early and attendance was not as good as expected
Everything.breakfast is great.
Elevator a bit slow.
Breakfast arrangements Coffee and water in the lobby Homey atmosphere Accessibility
Very low water pressure from shower head I like large windows and want more sun lights.
Liked the service and the cooked breakfast.
Location - on red line. Small size. Fantastic breakfast. Quiet. Tasteful, charming & comfortable.
hotel with real character yet still in a great spot.
small and friendly. great location for walking or taking the T.
I liked location to the subway. I walked from Harvard back and it was enjoyable. I like he friendliness of the staff and décor. Breakfast was always good. Helpful tips for traveling around Boston.Nice outdoor seating.
Small restaurant and prices a little high.
We liked just about everything: the building itself, the history, the front desk staff, the hot breakfast, the outdoor seating, the orange-infused ice water in the lobby, the comfortable room, the big bathroom (and big shower head), the peace and quiet at night, plus, lots of great dining options in the area. This hotel was recommended by a colleague. I would recommend it to anyone, without hesitation. We loved it.
The parking in the garage is tight, the room was a little dark, and the location is a bit off the beaten path. (Having said that, we where there on business, so we were gone most of the day.) On the plus side, it's right next to a T station, which made getting around a snap.
Perfect location. Wonderful historic hotel. Good breakfast. WiFi fast and stable. Very quite (6th floor).
Staff at counter was polite but not really friendly.
Location is excellent, as is the quality of the rooms, the bed, the bathrooms, and the breakfast (included in the cost).
It is quite expensive. Were I not being reimbursed it would be more than I would like to spend.
Friendly, clean, full of history
A little pricey.
Breakfast terrific! Wonderful helpful and caring staff
-Safe area but 1 block from T stop -Legal Sea Foods across street -Staff goes overbard -Decent Breakfast -New and clean -Love Fire Station Motif
Wine hour and marvelous breakfast buffet. Home-like atmosphere with wonderful decorative items. The location at the edge of MIT was perfect for prospective student visit.
They oversold the double/double rooms and my 17-yr old ended up on a pull-out sofa the first night....uncomfortable.....However, they were able to change our room for the 2nd night to our original booking request and it was great!
The water pressure of the sprinkler in the bathtub should need to make it stronger.
Staff friendly and accomodating; breakfast excellent; perfect location; reasonable overnight parking
view from room 309 not inspiring
Location, size and the overall feel of the hotel. Excellent breakfast.
The breakfast spread was beyond measure! The history and decor of the old firehouse was lovely. The way the rooms were decorated was beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful since this was our first visit to Boston.
Occasionally we had difficulty logging on to the wifi.
Our room was large and decorated very nicely. The fact it was a renovated firehouse was really cool as they incorporated a lot of that in the decor. The breakfast buffet which was included was very good with plenty of food and variety.
Location close to T
No convenience stores close
Quiet, roomy, great breakfast, fantastic location next to MIT, subway and free shuttle to Cambridgeside Galleria.
The bed and pillow coverings were too American! -I felt like I was sleeping on a USA flag.
I booked the hotel 1 month in advance and yet when I turned up they didn't have a room for me. They had a room for my colleague who booked 3 weeks after I did! the staff made me wait and wait and when I insisted that I don't want to move to their sister property they finally gave me a room. They moved another guest .... Scary ... It might be you next time.
