Location, cleanliness, convenient to subway.
No desk for working at night...
We like everything about the Kendall and are disappointed if we can't get a room there.
On this last trip the room was quite warm and difficult to cool down. Shower wasn't very hot even during non peak times.
The Kendall is a cozy, welcoming hotel that provides good value, and a very accessible location for the Boston area traveller. Other pluses are the tasty breakfasts, and a very friendly and helpful staff!
There's not much to complain about here! The entry to the garage is a bit tight for those with big vehicles...
Room decorations, the helpfulness of the staff (they were brilliant) and sense of being looked after.
The weather. Cold
We stay there often because it is close to family. My grandchildren join us for breakfast and it makes one of our nicest memories. The breakfast staff are kind and accommodating, friendly and warm to us and the children.
The one elevator is always busy so time is lost waiting for it. The call button on the 3rd floor only seemed to work sometimes. An annoying factor.
Great location, close to Harvard and T station for access to Downtown. Quirky hotel finished to a high standard, which was a welcome change to large chain hotels. Good breakfast
My husband and I, in town for a romantic overnight in the city, liked the eclectic decor, comfortable bed, substantial breakfast. The location in Kendall Square was perfect.
Charming facilities, wonderfully decked for Christmas! Loved the old fire-engine themed toys displayed! EXCELLENT breakfast choices!
Room was a little hot/stuffy. We opened the windows to help that. If we'd been short people, the very high bed might have presented an accessibility problem. But we managed!
Room is nicely furnished, and the bed is very comfy. Wifi is surprisingly good for hotel wifi.
This place does not deal well with cold weather, and it gets very cold in Boston. The only heater in the room had an air-vent that was angled up, so it was blowing hot air at the ceiling, this means that it just stays there and the floor was icy cold, especially in the bathroom. This didn't change not matter how long I left the heater on for.
This is by far my most favorite Hotel! The rooms are so cozy and nicely appointed. The free breakfast is fantastic and even though the hours are a bit odd in the restaurant downstairs, the little bar is quaint and comfortable even for solo travellers.
The elevator was out my entire stay and I was on the 6th floor. A free glass of wine for my troubles would have been nice :)
It is a small family hotel, cute and cozy design. Good breakfast. Very close to the metro.
Very comfortable bed and cozy atmosphere. Perfect location, right next to red line.
Wonderful hotel Cozy atmosphere Great taste Great location Super good breakfast Friendly staff Beautiful rooms Free wifi
Everything was great.
proximity to the T breakfast originality of rooms
awkward bathroom facilities
Small, boutique hotel with lots of artwork, great breakfast and location near Kendall Square subway, MIT Museum and major arteries into Boston. Parking lot in hotel basement. Quiet and comfortable. The coffee/tea, water refreshments are available to help yourself and create a hospitable atmosphere.
Most nearby restaurants are student coffee shops although Legal Seafood is across the street. Reconstruction of nearby Longfellow Bridge makes driving around a little more tricky. Would have like more written info about the Cambridge Athletic Club to which the hotel guests have access.
The hotel clerk could not have been more welcoming and helpful the evening we stayed. We enjoyed the vintage firehouse decor. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. My husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire in the public room after dinner. The buffet breakfast was enjoyed by all. The hotel was a great value and we plan to return on our next trip.
Very easy to find after get out from subway Kendall station, close to MIT. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Nice room with comfort bed.
Lovely and unique decor, wonderful breakfast
Clean and accessibility from Kendall station is pretty good.
Nothing major, excellent place to stay as 3-star but it would be nice to consider the price.
The breakfast was great The staff was more that friendly and they helped us a lot. The rooms were more that comfortable. I recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cambridge.
Nothing in particular
Check in time
Excellent location to MIT. Entire staff very helpful and very nice.
Could use more bathroom counter space and a makeup mirror.
Great staff led by an outstanding hotel manager (Brenda)
Cold weather ;))
very helpful staff delicious breakfast a really nice to have a non-chain hotel experience, chain hotels are so boring.
would have been nice to have some activities at hand (deck of cards, board games) to entertain children
Bed, room, lounge, restaurant, breakfast. Decorations in memory of the original fire station.
weak flow of water to shower which was not hot enough.
