The room was very large and the hotel is in a fabulous location. The lighting was good, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. While we had a balcony, our view was awful - over a ventilation shaft which was so noisy that no one would want to spend any time ton the balcony.

Beautiful hotel! Staff so so but facilities were top notch! Staff indifferent at best. Doorman tried to pressure cab driver into giving him a fee which created a big scene on my way to la guardia-- unprofessional!

Spacious 1 bedroom suite. Very opulent furnishings, clean and comfortable. Allowed late check out at 1 pm. Upgraded to Executive Suite. Near Rockefeller Centre, Moma, Times Square, subway, restaurants and shops. Expensive.

Check in was easy and the room as a suite was wonderful. The check in staff was kind of remote, not very friendly. Also the penthouse bar was overrun the night we were there. Not sure if it was an event or not but was far too crowded for my friend and me to have a drink. Too bad.

Hotel location was at the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Easy to walk to Times Sq & Broadway. Just 10 minutes walk away from the 5th Ave. Rooms are quite large than hotels you see in NYC at that standart. Comfortable and well equipped. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was an ongoing construction that some parts are still just on the balconies of the rooms. Rooms insides also need to be renovated and refurbished cause it was a really old building.

you can feel the hotel is not belonging to a chain, the youngest staff member has been with the hotel over 17 yrs, everybody makes you feel welcome, they all work towards one target, make us guests feel at home best gin tonic in town at the Rooftop bar breakfast was disappointing, not up to the standard. bathroom too small for a room occupancy of two or more

The hotel is in a perfect location. Walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Central Park, subway. All of the staff were excellent and accommodating. The suite was very nice and provided room for both the early riser and the sleepyhead. The beds were very comfortable. The one bed-room suite was clean and had many thoughtful amenities including an umbrella! The only negative was that our room and balcony looked directly into the rooms of the hotel next door. Hardly a view. If fact a pretty sad view. We were on the 14th floor. Upper rooms might have been better. They are working on the facade of the hotel which we hardly noticed since virtually all of New York seems to be under scaffolding. I would return to this hotel in the future. View.

Great balcony in the duplex on the 8th floor. Good beds, rooms are spacy. The hotel is definitely overpriced. Flooring needs to be renovated, so as the interiors in general. Gym is a joke. Located in the middle of a business district, so the neighborhood is very busy - not a benefit for a sight-seeyer.

The location was perfect. The room was spacious and had a balcony. The are limited elevators which are rather small but this only caused a problem when we were checking out.

The beds were extremely comfortable. We also particularly liked the large rooms (we had two suites) and the very friendly staff in the lobby. We booked online through Booking.com and made a request for suites near to each other and one with a view - and this was achieved for us. The hotel was in a great position for restaurants, metro and shopping and even decent walking distance to Central Park and Times Square. The hotel is being renovated outside so the windows were dirty - presumably just a temporary situation and not a problem for us. The suites were a little dark at times - perhaps some brighter lights would be better.

Travelling as family with two older children 21 and 18, we chose the one bedroom suite with two double beds (most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in). The suite also had a bed settee in the lounge area. The suite was spacious and very comfortable with super TV's in bedroom and lounge, not that we spent much time watching the tv! Bathroom had all the facilities we required. Kitchenette also had adaquate facilties, which we only used for a light breakfast and coffee. We used the fridge for storing cold soft drinks. We requested a room on a high floor (26 out of 30), this was ideal avoiding any street noise and also had reasonable reviews from the back of the hotel. I would definately recommend booking through Booking.com, the process was was very easy and they offered the best value I could find for this hotel. If we return to New York, we will definately return to this hotel, that is recommendation in itself. Being English, we do like our cup of tea. It would have been nice if there was kettle in the room.

We've stayed here several times before and liked it. Upon arrival, they were kind enough to upgrade us to a one bedroom suite (14D). We were OVERWHELMED. It met our needs perfectly. If I could, I'd like to arrange a "package" of 5 weekend stays during the winter months in this room! It was "Heaven on Earth".
