Closeness to all the things we wanted to see and do.
Price of one bedroom suite with pullout sofa bed Spaciousness of hotel suite overall Large bathroom Wine glasses and corkscrew in room Good midtown location
Staff was not friendly or helpful Small, slow elevators Fee for wifi and the wifi was very slow Stale popcorn under cushions of pullout sofa bed - obviously not cleaned by housekeeping
Absolutely great room and experience. Large living room, nice kitchen area, large bedroom, nice bathroom... all clean and tastefully furnished. The hotel penthouse restaurant/bar has an incomparable view. The staff is friendly and helpful. We needed to curtail our trip due to my wife's illness and the hotel took care of the refund quickly and easily. Probably the best experience we have had on a vacation.
The up-grade of my room. The space of the room. Kitchen+leaving-room separated from bedroom. The support from the Front-Desk. The cleaning team.
One bedroom apartment was large and very clean. The kitchen was great and the beds were comfy. Nice rooftop bar with great views.
The view from our room on the 19th floor was not good...looked out onto another high building. Therefore the balcony was not really useful and was quite dirty looking. The bathroom was small compared to the size of the room.
Street noise was a factor, but realize it cannot be helped.
Super friendly and helpful stuff, very suitable location close to museums, Central park, bars and restaurants.
Active process of construction around the hotel.
Great roof terrace, rooms really spacious and comfortable. Concierge and door guys really helpful. Food I did have was good and service excellent.
Receptionists not that welcoming on first visit. I did revisit the hotel the following week and they were more helpful and friendly. Lifts very slow. Common problem in NY but window was opposite aircon units hence unless you are completely wacked out on your first night sleep not great until you adjust
Comfort of large suites for NY standards. Location. Cleanliness of the room.
Internet in the rooms costs $ 13 per day (slow internet is available for free in the lobby and upper floor). I find it annoying not to have free Internet in the rooms when the client pays well beyond $ 400 per day.
We loved the comfy beds and quiet room on the 25th floor. We were at the back but didn't mind as there was construction work opposite. The separate living area was a great bonus and was well utilised. The complimentary pastries and tea on the rooftop were great, but was only available once of the three times that we tried. The business area was easy to use and printers were also available. Lobby area wifi was not a problem. I would definitely stay here again. Great location near the subway and buses.
Some staff issues spoiled the stay a little. The room was left open by housekeeping staff but the front desk staff blamed me, even though I had not been there for 8 hours. I was offered a complimentary bathrobe that was never delivered. We had to chase up our laundry as it was not returned on the promised day.
Very large comfortable room
Staff at desk were not extremely friendly nor helpful
Room is great as always
Did not have to set an alarm clock as 8 am the jack hammering started each morning . No way to take a nap or relax during the day in our room.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious room, location, views, fish tank, upstairs patio and breakfast.
Difficulty with TV control r/t function.
Almost every thing was good. Hospitality n staffs reception were so kindly n helpful. I stayed with family group of 6 n got upgraded in tow rooms. Book in the tower rooms if u would like stay in this hotel. The lounge at the top was amazing.
the views on the short building were poor.
My suite was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. All the staff were attentive and helpful especially so the concierge. Would definitely stay again if travelling to New York.
Apart from the lack of free Wi-Fi in the room, this is charged daily and common in New York hotels, l didn't find there was anything l would complain about.
the suite is medium size and nice but good enough for a small family.
the location of the hotel is not close to time square and need at least 10 minutes walk to reach time square.
We were treated so well by your wonderful staff especially Lynda on the front desk.It made our 50th Anniversay a real occasion.
The room was fantastic with a view that was amazing. Ordered room service for breakfast ( which was excellent), just to spend more time in the room. Our daughter stayed in the living room on the most comfortable pull out bed you can imagine, and the rooms were sound proof so she could invite her friends over for a drink and we could not hear them. The hotel itself is in a perfect location.
We stayed on the 30th floor, right below the nightclub. During the week the music and dancing were not too loud, but Friday night the music was loud, the dancing heavy, and the base came through the ceiling. They provide ear plugs, and now we know why. However, when we turned on the air-conditioner, and turned the TV up a bit, we were able to fall asleep. If you are sensitive to noise, you might want to request a room below the 30th floor.
the king suite was awesome, the position of the hotel was great
I payed a wifi connection for the 4 days i was at the hotel, but the half of the time i couldn't connect my laptop cause of wireless problems due to the hotel...
Room beautiful, attentive service from bellmen. Clean and comfortable.
There was maintenance going on in the room above me and it was difficult to get my work done during the day. Loud banging.
Absolutely no complaints at all. All the staff were as friendly and helpful as could be. Whoever hires and trains the staff needs to be commended in their selections.
That we had to leave so soon. Could have stay much longer.
Home away from home. Got all my requests for room..including 27th floor. Corner room with balcony. Everything was PERFECT!!!
The service of housekeeping. I left my Ipad in room and called housekeeping. The woman was very pleasant and helpful. Please pass this on to her. Assure her that the gratuity we left for the room maid will be increased next time with instructions to pass on to this woman. I am sorry I did not get her name.
My friend and I experienced great frustration with the elevators. They stopped at many floors without anyone there. Thus, service was extremely slow.
The location of this hotel is excellent, but the prices are much less than its neighbor hotels with famous names. I loved the perzonal attention they gave my family. The doormen are the best, and my kids looked forward to visiting them whenever we were downstairs. Huge rooms, great beds, full kitchen, you don't usually find this kind of space in New York hotels. Loved the easy valet parking, which was priced well below what we've paid elsewhere.
