They give you a glass of champagne upon arrival! The car service around town was great!
Very tight quarter for mobility equipment to enter elevator and move around dinning area.
Loved my stay!
Everything! Valet service, Michael at the front desk, house keeping in the hall!! Great stay.
I thought was closer to House of Blues where I had a teenager!!
Friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I never waited for anything. The staff had answers for any and all of our questions. Valet service was easy and timely. The best was the fact that the room was quiet and peaceful even though our corner room was perched just a few floors above the Texas and Louisiana street intersection. We enjoyed a dinner and a breakfast in the restaurant. Overall, our experience could not have been better.
The final bill was correct but not easy to interpret.
Room standard, great food in the bistro
I liked the facility and the staff was very accommodating.
The parking was too expensive and it did not feel safe walking around. I was approached four times within an hour by panhandlers. It was a weeknight so the Bayou Plaza and the theater district was asleep.
It was a wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff was great and the facilities were exceptional.
I really appreciated the entire staff, prompt, friendly and courteous.
This is just personal preference but I felt the bed was bit too soft.
Fresh remodel but stayed in touch with the historic aspects of this hotel.
The hotel and room were very clean, newly renovated and nicely decorated. The location is downtown and within walking distance to restaurants, etc.
The hotel has valet parking, however it is not an option as the hotel does not have any dedicated parking. You can opt to park somewhere else (street/metered parking or in a nearby pay garage). Or go with the valet parking which is 14.95 per day. It is convenient however the lot is gated from about 8 PM to 9 AM so your car must be in the lot by then and you cannot acces it until morning.
The history of the hotel, located in the heart of Houston, complimentary breakfast buffet, Starbucks coffee in the room and complimentary shuttle service in the downtown area.
The valet staff was incredible...so helpful, providing shuttle to the musical event and picking us up promptly after. Akeem was outstanding!
Room was tiny...one chair at desk, not comfortable and no where to sit but on bed. Bathroom even smaller with no place for your cosmetics etc. and commode so close to shower not even safe. Not recommended for Booking customers is this room is what they deliver.
I loved the staff and the shuttle that took you any where within 3 miles! The aroma in the hotel was very pleasant. The breakfast was very filling and tasty. I was offered a glass of champagne at check in which was awesome!
My room was tiny! I found a dirty towel in the pocket of the robe! Yuck
I have been a guest of the Lancaster many times over the years, but this was my first stay post-renovation. They've done an excellent job bringing the place into the 21st century without disturbing its historic charm. The staff was great, particularly the girl who worked the front desk during the day (Angela?). She was very helpful. And Jeff the bartender is my new best friend in Houston!
Everything was great.
The easiness the staff made everything, from checking in, dinning, to directions.
I had to leave.
Absolutely loved our room. It was big and roomy, everything was clean and fresh, and it was right across the street from our venue.
I HATE paying for parking. When did that become OK? If I am paying to stay somewhere - logic would tell you my vehicle has to stay with me.
The air freshener they used in the lobby was so powerful you could smell it outside and it was in the elevators. It immediately caused sinus problems for us. We mentioned it to the staff but they did nothing to correct it.
convenient location, friendly, professional staff
Nice bar staff
No skimmed milk or whole grain bread . No fresh orange juice . More fresh fruit .
The room was large and linens were fabulous.
Breakfast buffet was weak in selection.
nice place, nice people
dangerous showerhead fell on me! sub-standard and over priced food in the restaurant weak breakfast buffet
This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the theatre district in Houston. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and the new décor is lovely. If you are attending an event at the Houston Grand Opera, the ballet or the symphony the Lancaster is a great spot just steps away from all three.
A beautiful hotel in such a great location in downtown Houston! The place gave off such a sophisticated yet genuinely friendly vibe. Loved the intimate bar and dining room.
I know it sounds "picky", but if the hotel wants to have its guests have a free breakfast (very nice, very European) why can't the hostess simply ask you for your room # and record it. I think a flimsy "coupon" is not appropriate. Just a comment. . .
Everything was a 10. And this is the first time that I do not have a single complaint and I have stayed a every hotel in Houston and many cities in many countries!
