Beautiful historic hotel with an amazing feeling and decor. The staff were very friendly, great sightseeing tips and advice. The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent!
The room was perfect. Exactly what I expected. The restaurant had the best crabcakes. The bar staff A+.
The complementary breakfast was average, but It did same me money.
Loved the corner room we had. All the staff was very friendly. The hotel is located very close to the Arts District so walking to a venue and back at night is easy and relatively safe, no need to get a cab. Had a great visit
Staff were courteous and helpful. Interior was very nice. Beds and pillows were soft and perfect. Enjoyed our stay very much.
the history of the building the wonder and interesting Internatioal Staff the Bed and Bedding the location
the dining area for b-fast was too crowded ... the b-fast was adequate no a big deal
I loved the room and the hotel, the whole place was gorgeous.
The wifi had really low signal in our room.
Very comfortable room Helpful and informed staff Breakfast buffet
Concert was audible until 10 pm
The Bistro was great with an award winning chef ! From Diane at the front desk, doormen, wait staff, bartender and housekeeping all were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The beds are so comfy too!!! If you are going to stay there for Jones Hall or other near by performances, be sure and make a reservation for dinner!
Nothing to not like except maybe not putting Bistro hours on the posted menu.
Central location in downtown Houston; unique elegance -- not a cookie- cutter chain; interesting artwork in small, European-style lobby; supremely comfortable bed; cozy and quiet even though located on busy street. Best of all: friendly, helpful, welcoming staff.
Random hairs on bathroom floor and in shower upon arrival; housekeeping did not replenish bath linens
Right in the center of Houston, close to all business addresses and downtown restaurants
Too expensive for what you get
Right in the center of the action in downtown Houston. Parking attendants always had our car ready timely. Staff very helpful in getting needed information
Concert across street sounded like it was in our room
Breakfast was amazing, room huge and comfortable. A great stay!
Paying for parking
We (four Irish guys) had just arrived from a hectic weekend in Austin and really wanted somewhere comfortable to relax for the night. The Lancaster was perfect. The staff are very friendly, engaging and helpful. It was extremely good value for money and the rooms are lovely. If in Houston again (who knows!) I'll definitely return.
Quality of sleep. The complementary breakfast.
The lack of a swimming pool.
Beautiful hotel; lovely room;
no wakeup call one morning; 2 wakeup calls another morning; front desk doesn't seem to communicate with the valet/doorman regarding the ordering of taxis
Staff are keen, helpful, personable and the shuttle staff are super interesting foreign students that are hard-working, polite and very accommodating.
Would be better to have more variety for breakfast
Very nice and attentive staff. I lost my luggage on my way my to Boulder. And the staff at the reception went out of their way to help me.
Location, clean, hospitality.
Employee called Rose at the breakfast restaurant, a very rude and unpolite employee, does not suits this nice hotel. The only negative what i can tell about this hotel.
Charming and great personal service from everyone from the staff at the lobby door to the bar tenders in the lounge.
Does not have a gym area, but did provide access to a local gym a few blocks from facility. If you are really interested in exercise, walking a few blocks is not a real problem though.
The hotel was very nice, and the bedding in particular was really lovely. Unfortunately I stayed here over a weekend, so it was pretty quiet Downtown. That aside, it was a great property and I would recommend it to others.
A bit too quiet on the weekend, but this is no fault at all of the property.
Location. The breakfast. The room were all things I like
Room service from the restaurant ended @10.00
Lack of facilities
The hotel was in a great location. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bar and restaurant were nice.
The lighting in the bathroom was poor and the room was on the smaller side.
