Luxury, amazing service, amazing room, amazing staff, amazing amenities. The Langham is the top hotel in Chicago, hands down.
The rooms were huge and luxurious. The beds were so comfortable. The staff were great. Fabulous stay.
Definitely above all expectations.. King room with huge bed, beautiful view from the window and all comforts. Beautiful spa and pool. Absolutely great breakfast at the Travelle. Hope to come back soon!
1. Amazing club lounge. 2. Beautiful spacious rooms with fabulous views. 3. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. 4. Excellent restaurant. 5. Great 'Kids Suite'.
Carlos and the entire staff were amazingly attentive, courteous, and welcoming. A true luxury experience that was surprisingly (and delightfully!) laid back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back next year! Absolutely loved the club option as well, and recommend it highly.
This hotel had the best service of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Also, the bed and rooms were lovely. The restaurant rocked, had the best breakfast ever!
I got a manicure at the spa. It wasn't very well done. Slightly crooked, bad paint job. I was not happy with it at all.
The hotel was amazing and we had an excellent river view. So sad we only stayed a night on a layover...hope that we will be back soon!
Everything. The hotel and the staff are both brilliant.
There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.
Overall design of the Hotel and the room. The staff was exceptional too! Would definitely stay again.
We stayed at an off peak time and the rate was quite reasonable...would imagine this Hotel will be quite spendy during a busier period.
The butler staff, the Club Lounge, and Chuan Spa were all to-die for! The Langham knows no limit for making your stay in Chicago as perfect as you could have ever imagined. From arrival to departure, everyone seemed personally interested in making our stay amazing. Though the Trump International towers next to it, The Langham easily trumps them. I recommend this hotel for anyone willing to pay a bit extra to have the best stay in a city you'll never forget.
The in-town car service is first-come, first-serve starting at noon (but it really is a very, very minor inconvenience in comparison to how utterly perfect our stay was.)
The room was beautiful! The staff was very friendly! We had a great stay!
Very pricey..but hey..it IS Chicago. Parking!!
- Bed - very harsh linen, almost like washed without soap and softener and dried outside. Feels like a medium grit sandpaper. - Coffee machine - fancy, maximum half a cup per serving. Must use two servings of coffee - Had to keep asking for regular coffee, even though there is a flyer on the layout of coffee pouches for coffee machine that should include regular, decaf and fancy flavored. - Maid brought coffee at the end of the day, WHILE THE PRIVACY SIGN WAS ON. - Travelere Bar - MILDEW (!!!) on olives in overpriced drink - Travelere Restaurant - Soup (spicy potato with pumpkin seeds and yogurt) was bad. Even waiter voluntarily (we did not mention a word) described it "as looking suspicious" and served us another one. Overpriced "Portuguese Rolls" - simple regular deli turkey with mayo in a wrap (they call it lavash, even though it is not) - Hotel checkout - the automatic car valet service (sending a ticket number via SMS) did not work - after few minutes of waiting for acknowledgement, had to call lobby. 20 minutes later - received about 15-20 automatically generated error messages. - All in all, as someone with almost 20 years of traveling on a weekly basis (US and Internationally), my stay was VERY disappointing. - What I found interesting - upon my checkout, the front desk did not even inquired about "how was my stay". Found it amusing, as if they almost knew what would be my reaction.
Only one thing !! Get rid of the corn shacks at the bar !!!! Otherwise absolutely superb !!! Please don't tell too many people !!!
facilities and location are superb clean and comfortable
slightly overpriced compared to competitiors hard to get a taxi on check out
The rooms were beautiful and room service was great. The bar and tea room was not worth the price, mainly because they treated you like "someone off the street".
I expected service equal to a true 5 star hotel. I was not treated like a "guest" of the hotel, but more like a "visitor" for the day/night. I expected an experience equivalent to other known 5 star hotels, where they knew you were a guest of the hotel. Very disappointing.
We all loved this hotel, especially the fab interiors and the friendly staff and helpful concierge.
Can't think of anything!
The atmosphere of this hotel was fantastic. The rooms had quality inclusion and were spacious for an American hotel. The gym, pool and spa were also excellent and the bar was a favorite night spot for my friend and I. The best aspect was the friendliness and knowledge of all staff. If in doubt about activities the Concierge (I spoke with two different individuals) is beyond helpful
The entrance to the hotel is at first slightly confusing. The Lobby is on floor 2 - the first floor feels like a business lobby.
location service design, it represent chicago spirits in interior design.
no varity in breakfast hard to find kosher or halal food.
As a former IBMer, I was astounded at the transformation of the building. Everything was gorgeous, both in public spaces and in the room. The room was large and the furnishings were not the usual hotel style. I'll stay there again whenever I'm looking for a treat!
Make sure you get reservations for the restaurant- we were told we didn't need them and ended up eating at the bar. The food was great, though!
Great Hotel, in a great location, with a wonderful staff, and very luxurious!
Hotel was beautiful with a cozy feeling. The staff made you feel like they really cared about my stay.
*We would have liked to stay longer!! :(
I'm from Chicago and wanted to show my girlfriend, who was visiting for the first time, the best Chicago had to offer. From the time we exited the car in the front of the hotel, we were waited on by the most caring staff. Everyone went beyond the normal scope to ensure we were happy. Special thank you to Brooke and Lucas!
The free WiFi was a bit choppy and slow. It made video streaming cumbersome. As compared to other hotels I've visited, it was very poor.
The hotel had friendly and helpful staff, a great room layout with luxurious finishes and a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend it.
