The Latham Georgetown Hotel  

Our booking was for three nights with no cancellation privilage. Upon arrival we were shown to an underground room with no windows, completely cramped, noisy and with no instructions posted in case of fire. We requested a different room for which we had to pay an upgrade fee. Will never stay there again.

It was close to the 4 seasons where we had a a wedding to attend and it was cheap (relatively) Otherwise, not much to like.

The room we booked had no windows. That's right. No windows! If we had known this beforehand we never would have booked it.

The location was awesome! Right in the middle of Georgetown!

Our room was underground and we had no windows

Location was great. It was right on the canal, blocks from the river, and right in the middle of great shopping and restaurants.It was nice to park the car and walk everywhere.

We were there with a large group for a wedding. Many people had to switch rooms due to airconditioning problems, lack of hot water, room location or other issues. The desk staff was polite and made the necessary changes immediately, so I have no complaints. I would definitely return because of the price, location, and polite staff.

The location was fantastic

The carpet in the room was dirty/stained. There was damp on the ceiling in the room (leak?), there were no closet doors. The in room hvac system was very loud and impeded a good sleep.

The location was excellent. The room could have been more carefully cleaned, i.e. scrunched up tissue from previous occupant still lying on floor when we arrived. Decor in need of refurbishment, Bed very comfortable and clean. Would have appreciated a proper cup and saucer for breakfast, not paper. Having said that we would come back for another stay.

I thought the hotel staff was very attentive. The location is great for shopping and dining. It's not great if you need a Metro right outside your door. But I think it 's a lovely hotel in a great location with a capable staff.I Thought the design of the hotel is very attractive as well.

The interior is beautiful, but clearly needs a little renewal. It's fine but could use some new carpets, updating, etc.

I liked the service

The pictures on the site were misleading I thought my room would be nicer and bigger. I didn't know parking there would be 35 dollars a night so that was a shock. The tv was 15 inches not even flat screen for the price it should have been 30 or more inches no microwave very small room.

The Georgetown area itself and the pool, small but nice in the heat.

They made a mistake on our bill and tried to charge us for a meal we had never eaten.

The staff was very attentive to any needs that came up!

parking at the hotel is not included in the room fees. It is an additional $50.00 per day for parking at the hotel. There is, however, a parking garage two blocks down that cost $28.00 per night. Weekend parking is free at the street meters until the first business day at 7am.

Close to the metro and circulator buses, the hotel was in a great location for D.C. visiting. The hotel is only 20 minutes from the Reagan International Airport. It has an outdoor swimming pool and very nice rooms and close to the riverboat crusies. I highly recommend it.

However, the hotel is not in walking distance to the museums if you are interested in that aspect of travel in D.C.

The staff was excellent. Room and bathroom very clean. Bed very comfortable. Lobby was a great place to meet friends. Always clean and inviting. Locaton was close to everything, metro and bus lines. Staff able to get us a cab on a minute notice. Great hotel.
