The great atmosphere and welcome and superb room facilities. A really super hotel as we had remembered.
Would have been good to know room 314 had a constant quite loud noise from an air conditioning unit right outside the window. I needed to go out and buy earplugs then it was fine to sleep
From the moment we checked in the staff were so helpful. Our restaurant of choice(Atlantic Fish Co) was in the vicinity too.And the most comfortable hotel bed ever!
I loved the 11th floor non-allergenic floor..Everything that could cause an allergy was NOT there. Would definiitely recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone.
Everything, Staff sooo welcoming, accommodation excellent, atmosphere excellent. will stay here every time I visit Boston. I stayed in a 5 start hotel in NYC and I think they should send their entire management team to the Lenox to see what a top hotel should be like!!!
room service food not great!! I wish I didn't have to say anything bad as everything else was fantastic about this hotel
the location is very good, you can explore downtown by foot
it's very expensive, the staff is hasty and the hotel lacks normal room services offered in the United States (for example, a kettle, but we had the basket for the bottle of vine!!); if you want a simple breakfast (continental) like a tea, a croissant or a slice of pie or maybe you need a chamomile you have to go out and look for it elsewhere. I found it not confortable
No toothcup holder - why not? No tea/coffee making facilities in the room - why not? No fridge - all these missing things really disappointed me, especially as we paid USD 315 plus tax per night. The decor in the breakfast room is so drab and 1970s.
The central location, the wonderful, helpful staff, the quality of food at The City Table all added up to an excellent city break.
Nothing at all to complain about.
Everything. Polite and welcoming staff. Beautiful public areas. Huge bedroom. Lovely bed linen.
One very small criticism. The quality of the breakfast does not live up to the rest of the hotel.
Surprised how small the "superior" room was! That is the reason for marking the hotel as only good for value, I wouldn't have liked an inferior one! However, we were comfortable in all other respects and will contiue to use the Lenox on future visits.
Location was key. Close to absolutely everything. Staff was also very pleasant and attentive. Anything you need they can get for you.
Very attentive and friendly staff, from reception to maids to bell hops. Old world elegance. Clean and comfortable rooms. You can open the windows for fresh air, a big plus for me. Excellent room service and a fine attached restaurant and bar. Minutes from the Hynes Convention Center.
Could use some cosmetic maintenance, eg pealing paint in shower area and unfinished appearance of the elevator doors on my floor, but this is a minor issue. Cheap looking overhead lighting in rooms is disappointing. Street noise even with windows closed.
Room was stark- no pictures on the wall. No atmosphere in the hotel Expensive for what was provided No mini bar Only one bedside table
Service at all levels was excellent. every one was very helpful and anticipated our needs
could hear normal level of conversation from next room
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, location was great. Large room with comfy bed and a quiet neighborhood make for a good night sleep.
The room could have used a little bit more attention, especially the bathroom. The services in the bathroom was not suitable for a hotel of that standard!
Location, helpful staff.
Room large, but dull decor, no mirror or pictures, small bathroom without separate shower) noise in fireplace (stopped by staff after complaint), noise from adjoining construction site from 6am both mornings of our stay. Hotel compensated with free dinner and breakfasts.
everything except the air condition is a little loud
We were here returning our daughter to Boston University. The staff was very attentive, valet parking couldn't be easier. The room was very large for a city hotel, with a fold out sofa for the first night was exactly what we needed. Highlly recommend the cocktails and snacks at the City Bar in the lobby.
We had a handwritten note in our room with champagne welcoming us. The Concierge was wonderful. All the recommendations were great.
Fire alarm at 2:00 am. A patron had too much to drink and had fun with a fire extinguisher. :(
Friendly staff, good food
Eating bar area very dark and uninviting. Also not allowed into bar area as too full!
staff was polite and helpful
pricey for small rooms and tight bathrooms.
All of the common facilities were well maintained. Beds & rooms were very comfortable overall. Staff was top notch top to bottom.
For $250 - $300 per night, I expect at least some water pressure in the shower & a sink that actually drains. Stains on the throw pillows & an extremely stained carpet were also unappealing in this price range.
- great style - lobster roll in City Table was excellent!
- construction outside - was quite noisy. - staff are not particularly friendly or helpful.
Everything. The staff were very accommodating and all in all a very comfortable hotel. A Junior Suite upgrade was very large with plenty of closet space and a lovely bottle of wine to go with it
Excellent Back Bay location; Friendly, incredibly helpful and generally well-informed staff.
The water pressure in the shower was quite variable, especially on the 11th floor; the Solas bar (attached to the hotel) serves generous portions of good food, but can become unbearably loud and raucous at night, making conversation almost impossible.
Thoughtful, friendly staff. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived after a day of wedding dress shopping. We were offered champagne - two rounds - while we waited. There were 4 of us in our party - my niece, my daughter, my sister and myself. We mentioned that it was my neice's birthday while checking in, and a bottle of wine and a card was waiting for her in the room. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Overall, a wonderful stay.
