No free wiki in rooms, only in lobby.
Lack of sleep
Wouldn't go back if it was for free !!!! Was horrible ! Treated like idiots they tried to over charge us!
Located in Mid Town, 3 blocks from a Subway. Conveniently only 5 blocks from Times Square. There was a great Cafe/Deli right across the road and a Starbucks in the building.
Hotel menu was limited and expensive. Drinks were very expensive. WiFi in the room was accessible for an additional fee.
Lobby was nice!
They upgraded me to a King size room for an extra $50 a night so that we could get a roll away bed. Then the roll away would not fit, so had to sleep on the floor! Could have done that in the cheaper room! Not happy!!
I checked into the Lexington on the evening of my birthday, with grand plans to meet friends. Due to the weather in NYC, the plans were cancelled, leaving me solo for my birthday. The staff was great in making sure I was treated like a "VIP". Over the next four days, I spent a lot of time in the hotel due to the bitter cold...that goodness the action INSIDE the hotel stayed HOT. Great hospitality, wonderful people to meet and talk with and a great caring staff. Thx Lexington Hotel - I'll tell everyone I know what an amazing time I had at your property - I'm a returned for sure!
bed was comfortable
no coffee pot in room, had to pay to leave bags with bell captain. Lobby and bar crowd friday night was a rough crowd, a loud foul-mouth man with his son sitting at bar table was very unpleasant. Security was present.
The view was incredible
I had none
people upstairs blasted music until 4am vibrating my bed, security did nothing despite several phone calls
Good location, quieter than on Madison Av. Coffee shop attached, so could have a good cheaper breakfast. Good sized room for NY, (paid for small upgrade) lovely toiletries.
Window wouldn't stay open, (we put a book under the sach to have a small opening). WIFI 17$ a day! (free in coffee shops and most bars)
I liked the hotel location and the facilities in the bedrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
Location is great
The staff were rude and unhelpful. The first room we were given had a cracked window ledge with sharp edges, mould in the bathroom, mould on the ceiling in the bedroom and if we wanted to use the plug sockets we had to move our bed! We did request to move rooms and although they did move us you they weren't happy about it. The hotel wasn't clean either, in fact it even took them 2 whole days to clear glasses away from the corridor. No atmosphere in the hotel at all. It was not worth the money we paid.
2 Dollars for each bag left with the concierge. Very awkward... :(
No free wifi in the rooms
Then hotelnwas very user friendly.
I would have liked free wifi. I only noticed the shop in the hotel when i checked out and also no one reminded me of the gym, i could have asked.
Location and room decor.
Why do you have to pay for WIFI in 2015!
Style, location & price!
No free WiFi, no free luggage storage, noone opened the door and helped with my bags even when they saw me, breakfast was prebooked but at reception they forgot to give a confirmation, not clean bathroom.
Thank you so much for our excellent stay...all staff were fab so welcoming would definitely recommend this hotel thank you x
Slight issue with housekeeping still puzzled but not a prob if you ask at reception they soon address the situation
I love the location; it wasn't too far to drive or take a taxi to get places. I got there at 2pm & was able to check-in into my room. That was a plus being that check-in time is at 3pm. This was my second time staying there & plan to visit again.
I have a preference of staying on high floors; want to be away from street level & lobby noise. Not sure if the gentleman who checked me in didn't notice that; however, he put me on the 5th floor. Got a bit of the outside noise. Didn't fuss, however, I'll make sure to mention it. Other than that, no complaints.
The location was perfect. Also, being connected to a starbucks was perfect. The bed was a good size and the bathroom clean.
The room was way too small. I got the King room and it was too small for the price. The view out my window was horrible- looking at pipes on the 3rd floor which felt like the ground floor. The walls were so thin you could hear everything in the corridors. Also, hardly any toiletries in the bathroom; I had to buy my own shower cap, toothbrush and toothpaste, ear buds and cotton. They charge you for wifi AND to store your luggage ($2/bag)!
Expansive lobby, Starbucks in the building, good gym facilities, hip room decor, great location near Fifth Avenue stores and Bloomingdales for shopping and near the Broadway theaters and museums (MOMA, Top of the Rock, and Morgan Library). Historic hotel where Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio once lived.
Noise from the crowd on the streets late Saturday night from the nightclub nearby after it closed. No in-room coffee.
The location of this hotel is ideal for easy access to all of Manhatten either on foot or public transport
