Thank you so much for our excellent stay...all staff were fab so welcoming would definitely recommend this hotel thank you x
Slight issue with housekeeping still puzzled but not a prob if you ask at reception they soon address the situation
I love the location; it wasn't too far to drive or take a taxi to get places. I got there at 2pm & was able to check-in into my room. That was a plus being that check-in time is at 3pm. This was my second time staying there & plan to visit again.
I have a preference of staying on high floors; want to be away from street level & lobby noise. Not sure if the gentleman who checked me in didn't notice that; however, he put me on the 5th floor. Got a bit of the outside noise. Didn't fuss, however, I'll make sure to mention it. Other than that, no complaints.
The location was perfect. Also, being connected to a starbucks was perfect. The bed was a good size and the bathroom clean.
The room was way too small. I got the King room and it was too small for the price. The view out my window was horrible- looking at pipes on the 3rd floor which felt like the ground floor. The walls were so thin you could hear everything in the corridors. Also, hardly any toiletries in the bathroom; I had to buy my own shower cap, toothbrush and toothpaste, ear buds and cotton. They charge you for wifi AND to store your luggage ($2/bag)!
Expansive lobby, Starbucks in the building, good gym facilities, hip room decor, great location near Fifth Avenue stores and Bloomingdales for shopping and near the Broadway theaters and museums (MOMA, Top of the Rock, and Morgan Library). Historic hotel where Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio once lived.
Noise from the crowd on the streets late Saturday night from the nightclub nearby after it closed. No in-room coffee.
The location of this hotel is ideal for easy access to all of Manhatten either on foot or public transport
The price ,the location and check in at the desk. The clerks were terrific!
That I had to leave!
The decor was nice and the pillows were awesome. The concierge was helpful in getting a cab quickly. Lobby is decorated nice.
Our room was very hot no regardless of having the air conditioner on. The nightclub downstairs kept me us up very very late because the music was so loud.
No toothbrush and toothpaste. Asked for it from service desk twice. But never received it. Service desk folks were half asleep when answering my call.
Really nice hotel, lovely room and staff. Made you feel very welcome
No minibar or kettle which was very surprising.
great location room on high floor
first room they gave me (536) was very noisy, above an airconditioning unit. It took 3 requests till they agreed to switch rooms. I expect Marriott to alert customers if a room has a deficiency (noise) as the customer has other choices and does not want to stay up all night.
The staff and location were excellent. Definitely coming back
My room was really small :(
Location, décor and room size. I booked a Queen Room
Room didn't contain advertised things such as robe so I had to call to get one. No quilt on bed, bedding so sparse I had to fold it in two for coverage. This was January in NY! No extra blanket in room. Had to request coffee machine, but the items were not replenished. I don't think this hotel does attention to detail.
Great location, comfortable and nice rooms.
Great location, great amenities, very clean, quiet
Not free wifi in room and the charge is insane Bar prices are extremely expensive compared to other hotels in nyc the front desk gave me a voucher for their so called "currency exchange partner" which in the end refused accepting it and said has nothing to do with the hotel - so double-check info in advance and let them know if something's wrong so that they can treat better future customers
Location Lovely beds Nice and quiet if high Starbucks in the lobby Bistro in the lobby for dinner
be nice to have a fridge in the room
good fittness center
breakfast at Raffles
Location was truly excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous. So relieved that we were able to get everywhere with ease as this was my first visit to New York. My son had an appointment at Sloan Kettering and though we were a bit away it was still very easy to get to. Many good food choices close by and everything you want to see in New York is easy walking distance.
The only thing negative was a rude bartender. We were waiting in the lobby for our car and approached the bar to sit and wait and were told in an unfriendly manner they were closed and to sit elsewhere lol.
The Decor of the lobby and the mezzanine was really chic. Staff was somewhat helpful Good location at 48 and lex
Rooms were really small
I do not like the way how they are money money money oriented. If you don't tip, they are angry and show it. Everything is how much they can get from you and in terms of making preservations for you, it's like it's foreign. They only want to use your credit card and you have to be careful when you give them your card. They make NO allowances for your needs as a service to guests. These people's behavior is Ugly. They need to be retrained.
Location is perfect, decor is stunning. Well planned room and bathroom. Great lobby bar. Really enjoyed my stay here.
This hotel is situated in a perfect position for exploring! The rooms are beautiful, the staff are extremely helpful, the hotel was very clean. We cannot praise The Lexington highly enough. Our trip was perfect in every way. We would definitely stay here again.
The concierge was rude and unhelpful. She isn't directly employed by the hotel so my advice would be to use the hotel staff instead. The doormen and bell boys can organise taxi transfers etc and the reception staff can do everything else!
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff
no free wifi in the room, no small frig in the room
The location of the hotel is spot on. A couple of minutes away from the nearest subway station, near to Grand Central, Empire State Building, Rockerfeller Centre and Central Park.
We booked a suite, the room was very disappointing and very cramped for three adults. Our first floor room was next door to the lifts and we looked out onto the generator. This meant that we had to sleep with the air conditioning on all night in December in order to drown out the outside noise. We complained about the room to the hotel manager saying that it was nothing like the description on the booking website. He said there was nothing he could do and seemed rather disinterested. I wouldn't stay here again.
Small room. Miniscule bath. No coffee maker. Ice bucket with paper cups. Maids forgot to leave cups two days & face cloths one day. Overall a disappointing experience for the price.
Great warm welcoming atmosphere . Decor was so stylish and after a long days sightseeing it felt like coming home .
Had to wait almost 3 hours to get our room at checkin . Had to wait for room to he cleaned .
