I loved the architecture, how they tied in the past with the present. I also liked the fact that it was so close to the Mass. Eye & Ear - my husband underwent surgery. I also enjoyed the restaurants - they had "excellent" food - alittle pricy but definitely recommended. N/A

Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, very comfortable bed, great service. Higher price than I would normally use for business travel, but definitely good value.

The history is fantastic. It's a converted jail. They've incorporated many elements into the hotel, such as jail cell doors. It was one of the first jails that believed in treating prisoners humanely and has beautiful windows - almost church-like. I also loved the champagne check-in! Loved everything.

The cleaning staff was wonderful and rooms are very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was great. The concierge was great, but overworked and not behind the desk occasionally. One gave me wrong information, but not a major issue. (The John Hancock Bldg. No longer allows the public at the top - security clearance is required) The lobby, especially on the week-end, is extremely lively (and noisy) and the meeting place for the younger set. Good for the hotel and the young people though. I liked what the architect and developer did with the old jail.

Very cool hotel as it is a converted prison. Nice lobby and food at restaurants. My room was very comfortable and nice, but not as nice as expected. I stayed in a Superior room which I think is their standard. Did not get upgraded eventhough I am a gold SPG member. Rooms ok according to a 5 star standard, but not great.

Super friendly staff, great room and facilities. There was a fashion show happening in the lounge the night we stayed, it was very fun and the atmosphere was incredible. Loved the old jail vibe!! Requested that band aids be brought to the room and it took 20+ minutes. We called twice; but when they did arrive they had a variety of different band aids to choose from. But still, they could have asked on the phone and saved some time.

Hotel amenities location The brunch/breakfast in Clink was a disaster both days. We waited a unreasonable amount of time to order and get our food. At the brunch the food arrived cold - both our Oatmeal and eggs. The staff seemed overwhelmed (although it was a holiday weekend so you would think they would have been prepared). It was so bad that we observed a number of tables that left the restaurant because of the delay after they had been seated. Brunch and breakfast are not a minor expense - with Tip we spent $80 for Brunch and $48 for breakfast. The Liberty really needs to solve this issue. What we found vexing is that this poor service was only experienced at Clink. We had the opposite experience at both the catwalk and lobby bars - very attentive and timely service. Certainly we might stay again at the Liberty but we would avoid eating at Clink

The hotel itself was beautiful. I loved the way it captured the feel of the prison but also the contemporary designs. The staff was a little uptight. But the room service was great.

The hotel used to be the old Boston prison. it had very interesting design elements and architecture. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. My daughter lives in Beacon Hill so the location was perfect for me. Internet was free unlike some other hotels.

Good Location, easy for discovering the city center and Harvard, and to do some shopping. Beacon hill is a nice area to walk around and to have a bite/drink. The reception/lounge has a nice and special atmosphere. In the evenings many locals show up to have a drink with friends. The hotel doesn't have the facilities you expect from a 5 star hotel. It is more a boutique hotel, although the regular rooms are in a modern building and nothing special. The nights in the hotel were rather loud with people talking loud and throwing doors. Might have been unlucky. The heating in the room did not work, which was rather inconvenient as it was -10 degrees Celsius outside. It was fixed the next day.

We had some difficulty with unruly guests and the staff at The Liberty handled it very professionally. The building, rooms, restaurants are all wonderful! Room service could use some improvement. Several errors in two fairly simple orders.

The staff were extremely friendly & professional. The prison area of the hotel is beautiful, breakfast at Clink was delicious, & the nightlife was great. The location, next to a hospital, was extremely noisy & loud all day & night. The rooms leave a lot to be desired. The bathroom was the nicest part, & that's with the broken shower fixture & cracked ceiling. For what you pay to stay there, not impressed at all.

Great food available inside the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. I believe this hotel should have its own cars to pick up guests around the clock. I went to a Patriots game this weekend and was stuck at 3 in the morning at South Station. Public transportation isn't so great and I've had this same problem on previous stays here.
