This elegant hotel is in the historic Ames building in downtown Boston, 2 miles from the Back Bay area. It features a 24-hour fitness center. Cable TV and a minibar are found in all rooms at the Ames....

Score from 180 reviews Very good
The common areas are full of fun things to look at and to do. The rooms are serene and quiet. Loved the location on the Red Line. Brunch in Clink was great and so were drinks in Alibi. A bottle of complimentary Proseco for our anniversary was lovely.
Loved how swanky & posh the establishment was.
I did not like how I was told all rooms had floor to ceilings windows with views. My view was nothing more than the side of an office building, very disappointed plus I still had left over garbage from the prior guests left in my room!!!
comfortable bed ample seating in the room spacious bathroom great staff & service
no where to hang clothes (closet door stuck)
It served my purpose as a place to stay.
Parking was too expensive. The T.V. in every room didn't work on the night of a playoff game. Very inconvenienced.
Comfy bed, decent giew
Nickle and dimed from $50 to valet the car, 'free wifi' is akin to dialup with additional fee for decent speed, no tv or Ondemand options (this issue in sure is temporary)
Loved the architecture and design Loved the energy level and ambience Location perfect for access to Beacon Hill and close to the North End Great hotel
Rooms were great and the place has some interesting history!
Check in was so slow and check out was not much better!
Well made drinks Clean and comfortable room Free gym use
No complimentary coffee / breakfast
The bed was very uncomfortable
Nice place, very well located, nice view, fast checkin/checkout.
Lack of "atmosphere", but this is a really minor problem :-)
Staff tried very hard.
Staff were clearly mostly par timers, probably students, and it showed. More importantly, sink in my room was severely cracked and looked like it had been for some time - not hygienic. Also, same sink very slow to drain. Not good in any hotel, but especially not in one purporting to be of a luxury caliber.
unbedingt breakfast reservieren.sonst no seating am weekend.
Dusty place noisy heating system.Poor room decoration -this hotel should and can be done much better
Room was nice and very comfortable
Room was pricey, no breakfast was included, found the prices at the hotel restaurants very high and the food portions too small for the price. Surprised that parking was not included in the room price.
Historically interesting building with fascinating architecture and character
concierge and reception staff
Reception ambience Buzzy restaurants
Noisy traffic Theme not carried through; generic rooms Restricted complimentary wifi Booking mix-up via booking.com - stroppy reception staff Expensive for what it is
The location is very nice.
Not enough staff to check in. We are at Clink and atmosphere was poor. Waitress extremely slow. Staff not pleasant.
I thought the bed was comfortable and the lobby was attractive. The shower was clean
The room which carried a 5 star rate was worn and furniture and in need of update. The rug had several visible stains. Lighting was old and not good. 5 star should be higher quality...unfortunately the Liberty fell way short. A unique setting should not be mistaken for 5 star rating
Great hotel, staff were very helpful and responsive. The room was lovely and a decent price with the booking.com deal. There is a mini-fridge, which is great if you're on a restricted diet and need to travel with your own food.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. It makes such a difference to me to be able to make coffee or tea in the mornings!
The room was fine but for 599 I expected a lot more than a view of the hospital and standard amenities.
This is the most fun you can have in Boston....it all happens at the Liberty. Guest Services boss Peter Sula is the BEST
We had such a great time staying at the Liberty hotel! It was comfortable, inviting and we just couldn't get enough of the clever architectural details. Every member of the staff was most courteous and helpful. It was a perfect starting-off point to see the best of Boston and become familiar with the surrounding areas. We're looking forward to returning again soon. Dick and Donna Pesci, Milford, MI
Good location. Good atmosphere. Very good Italian Restaurant. Nice friendly Bar.
Price! Very expensive even by Boston standards. Disappointed to find significantly lower room rate available directly from hotel.
