Dusty place noisy heating system.Poor room decoration -this hotel should and can be done much better
Room was nice and very comfortable
Room was pricey, no breakfast was included, found the prices at the hotel restaurants very high and the food portions too small for the price. Surprised that parking was not included in the room price.
Historically interesting building with fascinating architecture and character
concierge and reception staff
Reception ambience Buzzy restaurants
Noisy traffic Theme not carried through; generic rooms Restricted complimentary wifi Booking mix-up via booking.com - stroppy reception staff Expensive for what it is
The location is very nice.
Not enough staff to check in. We are at Clink and atmosphere was poor. Waitress extremely slow. Staff not pleasant.
I thought the bed was comfortable and the lobby was attractive. The shower was clean
The room which carried a 5 star rate was worn and furniture and in need of update. The rug had several visible stains. Lighting was old and not good. 5 star should be higher quality...unfortunately the Liberty fell way short. A unique setting should not be mistaken for 5 star rating
Great hotel, staff were very helpful and responsive. The room was lovely and a decent price with the booking.com deal. There is a mini-fridge, which is great if you're on a restricted diet and need to travel with your own food.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. It makes such a difference to me to be able to make coffee or tea in the mornings!
The room was fine but for 599 I expected a lot more than a view of the hospital and standard amenities.
This is the most fun you can have in Boston....it all happens at the Liberty. Guest Services boss Peter Sula is the BEST
We had such a great time staying at the Liberty hotel! It was comfortable, inviting and we just couldn't get enough of the clever architectural details. Every member of the staff was most courteous and helpful. It was a perfect starting-off point to see the best of Boston and become familiar with the surrounding areas. We're looking forward to returning again soon. Dick and Donna Pesci, Milford, MI
Good location. Good atmosphere. Very good Italian Restaurant. Nice friendly Bar.
Price! Very expensive even by Boston standards. Disappointed to find significantly lower room rate available directly from hotel.
Paid $500 per night and the room was so dark it was like the black hole of Calcutta ! No kettle or coffee making facilities in the room Internet/Wi Fi was appalling through a 6 day stay Couldn't change channel on the TV for first 2 nights Staff unattentive, for example asking for a bill several times Stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and loved it. It now seems that it is more of a night club than a hotel. Couldn't get a copy of my bill on check out, apparently they automatically email it, still haven't received a copy ! Shame because it was a great hotel ! Stay at the Intercontinental next time !
The internet did not work well in my room and the computers in business center were not functioning. Room card key malfunctioned and I had to replace twice. Receptionist took my bag to hold at check-out but did not tell me it would be in a different location when I needed to pick it up, so I waited in a long line for nothing.
We stayed for four nights. Great location in a former jail house. Good restaurants and a hip night bar which is a number one party location for bostonians. Attentive staff, good consierge!! A great experience
Nothing to complain
Need to put more attention to details
Single device wi-fi access.
I wanted a river view that was hard to get
the location short distance to multiple good spots in the city
excellent confort in the room but a noise of air conditioning machine is clearly perceptible during the night
Beautiful & comfortable rooms. Staff courteous, excellent restaurants & bar service. Champagne at check in was a nice touch!
Staff was very friendly, great location& clean room
Staff was extraordinary (except for one bartender in the Alibi bar, she needed more oversight & a hospitality refresher course). Property was fascinating historically, beautifully maintained and luxurious.
I realize I was in a posh hotel directly on the heels of the Boston Marathon, but for nearly $400/night midweek, I didn't expect to have a view of, literally, a concrete wall (of the hospital next door), and an additional $47 to Valet park my car overnight is steep, even for Boston.
Adrian front desk excellent service, friendly. professional, Concierge excellent very informative. overall experience great
Hotel that allows dogs could be a issue. checked out on Sunday 4/20/2014 we arrived home that afternoon to find a tick bite on my daughter. we feel the only place this could of happened possible thru the hotel. Since we were not anywhere in country side. sorry for this feedback.
