proximity of room to baths
Room didn't warm up so cold the floor felt wet.
the staff was nice
the fact we where not informed that there was a group of Faternity girls staying over. the girls where very rude pushy and very loud. we where in the end cabins and all night to about 3am those girls where out side our window with a bonfire going. all in all not the happiest with what we got. also my boyfriend and i both got sick after eating at the resturant.
Nothing. Unfortunately, I traveled 35 minutes outside Missoula after a 7 hour trip from Jackson, WY through a mountain pass to get there but upon arrival had no qualms about turning right around back to Missoula and on to Spokane.
Rutted unpaved parking lot, trash pile next to hotel. Boy (owner's son) and girlfriend sitting in lobby looked up but wouldn't flag down parent/owner to alert them they have a guest who was running vacuum cleaner (obviously broken) louder than a small aircraft. Mangy, dirty dog walked into lobby with owner. Room needed to have a door knob installed. everyone looked like they just got done working on an engine overhaul in the tow truck out back.
The mineral pools where fabulous! And once we were upgraded to a better room, the room was lovely!
We booked the best rate but the pictures showed us a much better room. Once we got there the room was no better than a trailer. It was clean but very run down. We asked for an upgrade. Which they very kindly gave us. For only 38$ more we got a room 100x better!
Location is lovely. The hot tubs at the lodge were much cleaner and nicer than the hot springs nearby
It is a bit ragged around the edges. This could be a great spa/retreat but needs a little money invested to spiff it up a bit
Rustic lodge atmosphere and back-country location only 30 minutes from Missoula. Hot springs are always fun for families. Quiet. NO cell services, phones in rooms or TV channels (dvd players)... a bonus if you're trying to appreciate the beautiful setting. Good food. Nice staff.
Queens are in an older building and a little like tiny dorm room. Would recommend upgrading. Could use a little deeper cleaning (dust in corners, on light fixtures).
Room was clean.
No Internet or tv.
Booking was easy, Staff was great,Clean and comfortable environment.
Breakfast could be served a bit earlier for travelers who must be on the road early.
Rooms need TLC
Small cramped room in 1970's decor. Mold on coffee maker.
Beautiful historic location. Hot spring fed pools for relaxing.Views of the mountains. Natural wood decor, beds and pool and lobby. Breakfast was minimal but good with waffles and other items. Wifi worked in the lobby.
No phone service. Hotel has a free land-line for personal calls. Worked OK.
The staff was very friendly and showed us around the hotel and to our room when we arrived. Our room was spacious and clean. Would like to return in the winter to really enjoy the hot springs.
friendly night staff, hot pools, view
felt like because I arrive late I was put in the north forties, not in nice rooms, keys didn't work and was very disappointed with room. Thought I was getting room with log décor. No tub shower only very small room with shower stall. planned to come back but won't now.
couldn't stay longer
Beautiful setting environment
To rough around the edges, not a good value
location. Staff nice enough.
Diesel fuel smell around building. Drinking water had fuel taste to it, in room.
The corner bar and grill made our stay worth while.. We really enjoyed the bartender and manager. Made some new friends and had fun..
The rooms were not very clean.. No hair dryer as I thought the room was supposed to come with one. The room sound proofing was horrible. Kind of dissapointed in the pools. I guess we were expecting something different. Glad I didn't pay the $139 the room was supposed to go for. We had a discount for booking online through a third party..
The tacky room and bed.
mineral bath restaurant next door.
length of weight for check In. The room was not worth the money.
the 2 queen beds plus futon in a really spacious room cleanliness good building maintenance hot springs setup more deluxe than others in the area very friendly staff
horseshoes and badminton equipment broken
Location, set in the mountains, usually quiet & peaceful, not far from what I like to do in the area. I liked the big windows, the porch, the bigger bathroom/dressing area and all the wood furniture and walls. The manager was talkative and pleasant.
I didn't like the music from next door that pounded until 2:30 in the morning. (Business next door). Very uncomfortable beds, needs new shower curtains and better toilet paper dispensers. I didn't realize we needed to ask for room service, since we stayed more than one night. Our garbage was overflowing and beds where not made, no clean towels brought. The lobby doesn't open until 8am. We where not able to try the breakfast that was included, we where gone early in the morning until afternoon. There really isn't a place to eat in this area, there is a small fridge and micro in the room. Price wise, it's worth about $80-$85 per night, the $139 plus tax (about $149 per night) is too much for the service that is provided.
We stayed one night after a long motorcycle ride. We were given a personal tour of the facilities. Since cellphone service was not available, there is an old style phone booth where your can make free phone calls to anywhere, including out of country. Movies were free to use in our rooms. If you needed to clean your dusty bike, a hose and rags were waiting to use. A concrete reserved parking spots for bikes is near the office. The usual free breakfast was appreciated, although yogurt and fresh fruit would be good additions. The indoor hot springs baths were clean with soft light and a reserved timed bath just for couples. Fluffy towels waited on a bench. This was our first time and although it was not as refreshing after a 93 degree day, it was relaxing to soak a bit. There was an outdoor pool but chose not to use it. The staff was friendly and helpful with our few questions and getting the coffee supplies missing in our room. Our room was small but enough for us with a small microwave oven and small frig. The air conditioner cooled the room quickly. At night we didn't hear our neighbors and slept well. The restaurant served good food. My taco salad was served in a Cobb salad fashion and huge! My husband gladly helped me finish it. His hamburg was tasty. Good prices, too. Overall a very, very pleasant place to rest set in a beautiful setting and quite affordable.
The bed could be firmer but we had no problem falling to sleep and woke up refreshed. As mentioned before, a few more choices for breakfast would be nice.
