location, new mgmt, not best value mgmt
worst bed ever. dirty room, filthy, stained carpets
Tv's in each room with cable. Kitchen. Decks. Pool and hot tubs. Bathroom in each room.
Could use more dishes in the kitchen. Only had 4 bowls. Needed a cookie sheet and a pitcher.
Location 2 min to Deer Valley Lift, underground parking. Hot tub and workout area.
Undergoing mgmt. changes, staff confusion, failure to make up room 1day, didn't vacuum room. Food service and bar not always staffed.
The Lodge is very nice and comfortable. Located very close to the Deer Valley Gondola. It's also feasible to drive to other resorts nearby. It's possible to rent equipment and buy discounted ski lift tickets (except Deer Valley) directly in the hotel. Very positive experience.
I wish we could stay longer.
We had six people, 2 had to sleep on a fold out sofa. Imagine a 1 inch pad on steel bars. Forced to sleep on floor. Nobody at front desk before 8:00am. Weird for a hotel that size.
Restroom fan was central and would never turn off. The continuous noise even if very slight when door was closed was annoying.
The location, for the price it was a little hidden gem. After eating out for 3 weeks it was great to have a fabulous kitchen.
Wish we had an extra week.
I liked it that staff took care of me in a most professional and accommodating way when I brought an irregularity to their attention. Pam was excellent and provided STELLAR customer service. I run a small business and when my customers tell me something is not to their expectations and offer me the opportunity to make it right I look upon it as a gift and make it right. Pam and the staff that evening did exactly that and were wonderful! I also like that the underground parking garage is heated for vehicles. I would stay here again without hesitation in booking a reservation. The check in process was also very smooth.
When driving into the garage, the signage to where the elevators are located could be painted on the large wall just outside of the elevators that could be painted and visible in 2 ft tall letters with an arrow pointing the way. I realize that this is very very minor, but would be very helpful to everyone. I"m sure that this could be done very quickly and economically for the benefit of future patrons.
Good location, quiet, clean and confortable. Only ten minutes from Park City and five from Deer Valley
Very small room. Limited hotel services. (no room service, no personell at night,...)
carpets were ripped and beds were uncomfortable. The TVs were very old. VCR's not DVDs in the TVs
Location, Amenities, Game room, hot tubs, underground parking, friendly staff, restaurant
Queen bed is more like a full size and not very comfortable for 2 adults; the mattress in the sofa bed was terrible and virtually impossible to sleep on; no eating choices or stores within 8 miles except the onsite restaurant
Everything as expected. We knew we weren't staying at a posh hotel on the mountain of Deer Valley but this hotel was very close to the Gondola (a 5 minute drive). The rooms were big and the place was easy to find.
Really nothing, everything was as expected.
The free shuttle was great. The shuttle drivers were all very friendly and accommodating.
The staff at the front desk was not very friendly. The restaurant was not completely set up to provide breakfast in an efficient manner. Free breakfast was not very healthy or good.
Its comfortable and clean
Service is non existent...Staff avoids you...They don't know the concept of hospitality. There is no restaurant in the premises....the nearest restaurant is 4 miles away..and the nearest supermaket is 7 miles away...far from ideal.
The cost per day and the solitude.
No coffee mugs?
We only spent one night. The staff made a mistake and sent us to an uncleaned room. They were quick to correct it. We also ate at the Purple Rose. Kim was great! Her ice cream was also a hit.
Difficult to get change late at night for vending machines. The coin machine and vending machines wouldn't take a $5.
Attractive building which was clean, had a sense of elegance and had views if given a room in the backside of the hotel.
Where do I begin....!!?? This hotel was a nightmare to find. Map was wrong on booking.com. The phone number on booking.com went to some manager's office, so we could not contact them for directions. The location of the hotel is right on a busy highway, so the noise from trucks and 70mph traffic drowns out any solitude the mountains would like to offer. Upon check-in, we were told that this huge, attractive place had no restaurant and that they had only some wimpy cold breakfast buffet--and a bar with sandwiches and lighter fare. Not what we expected--but how could we know? Booking.com does not include the amenities on their itinerary printout. We were put in a small room on the frontside of the building--the place was empty--and I mean empty. SO why would they put us on the noisy side of the building? Dumb move... All the other rooms had furniture on their balconies--(we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the noise) but ours did not have any. We had no glasses or cups in our room, no coffeemaker. No hairdryer. the room was small. The TV was at least 10 years old. The bed was comfy however. We visited the bar for a burger and a drink or two. We were the only two people in the place. The bartender was THE RUDEST, WEIRDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I felt like I was in the the movie "The Shining". She questioned my wife's order of provolone cheese on her burger, putting her hand to her forehead, in an exasperated manner, saying she needed to "process this choice of cheese". She yelled at another foursome for wanting to go onto the front patio, stating loudly that they could not re-enter because the door had an EXIT sign above it. "NO...CANT YOU READ? IT SAYS EXIT-- YOU CANT COME BACK IN! She also told us this was the busiest they had ever been in the bar--I quickly realized why. Another woman came into the bar with a drink in her hand and stated she was the owner.
