I attend the Columbus Ribs and Jazz fest (a 3 day event) when I can. On my first attendance my opinion of Columbus drivers was they are the rudest drivers in Ohio. I won't change that because to do so would be risk to my life. On this last trip I dated the opinion: Columbus drivers are the rudest drivers east of the Mississippi river in America. They have gotten much worse, more aggressive, less respective to speed limits, less respective to interstate right of way at speeds exceeding 70MPH, and the number of rude drivers has gone up by 2,000%. To drive on an interstate in Columbus is more risk than Boston, LA, or San Francisco. And, for no good reason! My next planned trip to Columbus is 'NEVER EVER' and for good reason.

The downtown area is clean and felt safe, which is rare for a major US City. The area we stayed had nearby restaurants and bars. The Convention Center and Nationwide Arena was within walking distance. We definitely plane on returning for a longer stay.

Downtown Columbus has expanded significantly into a destination area that has a good mix of pedestrian and non-pedestrian accessible activities. Like any urban downtown it needs to focus on safety and security for its residents and visitors.

Always something to do.
Always something to do. Traffic could be hectic at some times but you have to figure out the traffic pattern at certain times of the day.
J Lemon Pepper fish & Chicken was so good with reasonable prices and Rooster. Both are a must to visit
This is a cool hotel with a youthful look and feel. It's energetic, interesting, and a world away from the staid chain hotels that are so often on offer.
While the rooms are small, they offer everything you need. There are multiple areas outside of the room to hang out and socialize (a bar/ cafe area, 6th floor terrace) which creates a good community feel. The free beverage choice on arrival is a nice touch, as is the light breakfast and coffee available in the morning!
Was here in February, during the freeze, and had to extend my stay longer than planned. Staff were really nice and approachable, and really welcoming. I had to go day by day, since I wasn’t sure when the storm would clear, and every morning, when I extended my stay, they kept me in the same room and were very accommodating.
Loved how I could pay in cash too; which worked better than my international credit card. This is my go to place in Columbus now!! 😆👍🏼
This property is terrible and should not be listed on booking.com. The facilities are pure nasty. My room had not been cleaned and the bed along with sheets and blanket had cigarette holes burned in them. Bathroom was nasty. Room had bad smell. People were living at this hotel. Lots of loud people at this hotel. Would not recommend to anyone ever. Do not stay here. Is close to airport and cheap but do not stay here. Very filthy.
It was obviously a fairly new hotel, which meant it was still clean and the room and common areas we still very well maintained. We also loved the area that this hotel is in. Close to shopping and restaurants and not a very long drive into Columbus' downtown areas. If you drink, it offers 3 alcoholic drinks to its guest every evening along with a "small plates" meal, all free.
Almost everything! The bed was the most comfortable! And the pillows... Awesome! The Hyatt was clean, staff were extremely accommodating, they had my room ready at 11:15 am. This was phenomenal because we moved to the Hyatt after a very disappointing incident at the Hilton Gardens Inn / Polaris. If I'm ever back in Columbus, I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Downtown.
The hotel really is a cool older hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location. U can walk to a lot of great places downtown on High Street. The front desk staff is always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices and is included in your stay!
Ask for a room on a higher floor on the other side where the church is for more peace and quiet!
This was an excellent stay, We were made very welcome by all the staff we encountered, especially Nate on reception. .our room on the top floor was clean and very well presented, with all the facilities we required. Location of hotel was convenient for everything we wanted to do. Self service laundry was much appreciated during our three week stay in the USA.
The code to enter the room didn't work when I arrived so I called the owner, and she apologized and told me that she had changed the code after the previous guest, which rather made me feel safer. The location is about 20-30 min bus ride from downtown Columbus, but the bus has wifi and always comes on time so I had no issue with that.
We enjoyed the big king bed and the tall loft ceilings. It gave the room a far more spacious feeling. The view of the convention center and Columbus downtown were pleasant. I appreciated the valet service meeting us right at the front door and offering to grab us a luggage cart.
Overall, it was a great location and the staff was very friendly. The room was clean and nice and it’s always a plus to have a pet friendly hotel that’s decent looking because we travel with our pets a lot and usually it’s either slim Pickens, or the pet charges are outrageous.
Hotel was convenient and close to other places.Desk staff was very friendly and we arrived very late.Rooms were comfortable but since we also stayed in a spring hill suites hotel in Tulsa we were able to compare the two. This one was older and may need a little refreshment.
Hotel was very clean, room was spacious, beds were super comfortable and lots of pillows! Shower was hot and good pressure. Very modern hotel. Free breakfast was solid too. Convenient to downtown Columbus without paying premium prices. Short drive or rideshare into town.
The quality of the stay, was no better than a low to mid range national hotel chain that is well-maintained. I just think that the value for the cost is very low. My hotel room was not great. The door was peeling. Much of the stay was fair at best.
The room was clean and there was a view of trees from our window. The bed was very comfortable and the pillow was wonderful. The breakfast was also very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Columbus.
The hotel was beautiful top to bottom. Staff were all super friendly, room was big and clean, guiet and ample parking. Will be back there next time through Columbus. No complaints!!
