Good location Friendly staff Comfortable rooms
Clean, consistent theme
I think there were bed bugs
We needed a hook in the bathroom and would have liked a small refrigerator and coffee pot in the room.
The extreme friendliness of the owners helped make this place even better than it already was. Sonya & Robert (who looks like a "Phil" to me & I think I called him that too many times!) were great! The room we were in was very spacious & comfortable. The bed was comfortable & the room quiet...except for the occasional Harley. The shower had exceptional pressure & flow and the water heated quickly.
The continental breakfast opened at 8:00am & only had cereal, packaged pastry, bananas, apples, packaged oats, orange juice, coffee & milk.
Very convenient to all activities planned. Owners were very hospitable and provided excellent information regarding the area.
Could not provide refund for tickets unable to use due to medical emergency.
can't say enough about how much I like this place
I was worried by other reviews. But figured the good out weighed the bad. We checke in meeting te owner Sonja. She was lovely! Then we hit the hot tub ASAP. It was quiet, no kids allowed on our floor (we have six at home so this was a treat) clean, relaxing, and hut why we needed! Thanks Bill And Sonja!!!!
The owners are very friendly, very accommodating, and very communicative. We received several emails from them prior to our stay, reminding us of our stay and asking if we had any requests. Even though the lodge is on Hwy 62, it is difficult to hear the traffic while in your room. The lodge has a little "atrium" area where you can sit and enjoy the other guests, or just relax and drink your coffee. We were traveling with two 11 y/o and one 8 y/o, and the lodge was perfect. We will definitely try to come back again the next time we are up in Eureka Springs.
The Lookout Lodge is a great place to stay. Very hospitable welcome, location great, very quiet and I plan on going back!
Nothing! It was all we expected and more.
No coffee or continental breakfast was available until after 8:00AM and the rudeness of owners was very unnecessary. Advertised a continental breakfast (no time given) but nothing available until after 8:00. Was told that we could have had a coffee maker in our room upon request but nothing was said about a coffee maker when we checked in nor was there anything about an available coffee maker in the book provided stating the amenities offered. We didn't think much about not having a coffee maker in the room until there was no coffee available when we went to the office area 3 times where a continental breakfast was to be served and couldn't even get in at 8:00 so we went on down the highway to find a place to eat. We stopped back by to tell them that we would be gone until about 2:00 when we planned to come back and rest. The owner asked rudely if we had put the tag on the door for service. We hadn't as we assumed they would try to get to our room before we got back (there was nothing said in the book about the tag). When we returned everything was cleaned, beds made and a coffee maker was provided. We avoided further contact with the owner and left early the next morning after having coffee in our room. We won't bother them again. They need to change their mannerisms if they are going to serve the public.
I loved this hotel!! Great value for the money.
Extremely clean and inviting room environment!!!The staff was super nice, the owners provided very helpful information on what places we should visit to make the best of our trip in the area. We felt very comfortable in the Lookout Lodge and are planning to go back soon.
Cleanliness, bear themed, location, value for our money
We felt welcome. The owners were very helpful and take pride in their facility. It was so clean and convenient to everything we had planned. They also gave great recommendations. We will stay there again.
Always friendly and accommodating !!
The quiet, cleanliness and comfort. The deck overlooking the forest was so nice.
It is the cleanest place we have ever stayed. I appreciate the wood floors - they seem so much more sanitary than carpet. It was a very quiet, restful place to stay.
We loved the housekeeper. The convenience in to town.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We booked for a jacuzzi room like it said in the ad and given a room that was not to our expectation. There were no robes like it showed. No coffee pot therefore we had to purchase one or pay a dollar for a cup. It was very loud since we were facing the traffic. The first day my 77 year old mother got in the shower she nearly slipped due to the lack of a tub mat. The last night in the the shower my mothers back was burned because the water turned scalding hot instantly and I heard her scream. This also happened to me several times. Upon checkout we spoke with the owner Robert Schmid about this and he immediately became defensive. My mother and I are both widows and needed some much earned vacation time. We enjoyed our trip outside the lodge, but unfortunately we were very unhappy with the Lookout Lodge and will never return . We felt we spent to much money for what we didn't get. Thank you for taking the time to read this . Syble
We had such a nice time here! It was the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. The innkeepers were so nice and so helpful. I will definitely be back.
Great Atmosphere, great location, great service, Robert was very informative and helpful! We stayed for two nights, my Wife, 12 year old and 5 year old. Will consider staying here again whenever we return to Eureka Springs!
Nothing was bad about this place that I could see or tell or experience.
Needed a small refrigerator in the room
Noise from the road - we were unlucky in that it was a holiday weekend. Rooms at the back of the property appeared to be more peaceful.
It was clean
The internet pictures looked like we had a balcony, wooden room, looked different...but was still comfortable.
We were looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend and that's what we got. The owners of the lodge were very personable and willing to suggest eating establishments as well as scenic drives. Our room had pleasant cabin like decorations, was very clean and had plenty of hot water. It was well worth the money and we will stay here again.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean.
No coffee in room. Stayed on 1st floor and could hear upstairs people walking around on hardwood floors.
