This beautiful house is in a neighborhood that undergoes gentrification. The interior is super clean, spacious and comfortable. It is decorated very colorfully, which includes artifacts from china and other locations and a tiger-patterned carpet. Kelly was very helpful whenever I called her with questions. The privacy level is excellent, I never ran into other guests, even though some seemed to be staying at the same time. Although the buses don't run frequently, the connections to the French Quarter are very good. The drivers are friendly and the fare very low. I walked to the nearby bus in the dark, although I wasn't sure about the safety. According to the crime map, this area is one notch below high crime (for reference, the French Quarter is all classified as high crime on the same map, so I guess this is relatively safe).
A noisy train passes occasionally, but with earplugs I slept very well.
we stayed in the Mardi Gras room, great room, great price, close enough by car or bus to all New Orleans has to offer
Too short of stay :(
- Loved the interior of the room - Just 2 miles from Bourbon Street - Owner was very helpful and friendly
- Couldn't think of anything
Inn is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with several 1st class restaurants and a couple stores within easy walking distance. Very private and inviting back yard with pool and hot tub as well as cabana area. Close to historic areas and directly on the bus line for convenient travel. Very friendly and helpful Inn Keepers on site but not "micro managing" your activities. Would gladly stay there again if back to NOLA.
Kelly was very helpful in giving us advice on eating spots to try. The backyard pool is amazing. We didn't try the hot tub. The cable in our room had quit, and she had the cable person there right away. We stayed in the Bollywood room. We would go again
The Mosquitos were kinda a pain around the pool, but she has spray
We stayed for the wknd , super nice rooms love the owner shes the best .. We will be back to her place
We had really the most unforgettable time. Everything was great. We really felt welcome. Give an 10+. We went by bus to the center in 10 minutes. Got Swamin the pool, drank nice coffee and thea and had our breakfast in the garden. THANKS!!!. Aanrader.
It was very cozy and a place you do not want to leave. We liked it a lot.
The hosts Kelly and Mark were super. They provided ideas of local eats and sites that were fantastic and our dogs were able to travel with us/
They are not a true B&B since they do not provide breakfast but there were 2 fantastic local places that were close and super yummy so this negative really isn't one.
We loved the eclectic feel of the Lookout Inn. The neighborhood was safe, accommodating and very cool. The suites and amenities were outstanding. Just wish we had more time to take advantage of the pool area. We recommend the Lookout Inn without hesitation.
Beautiful property, convenient location. easy parking. The suites are really fun!
some bros by the pool were a bit loud, but not a big deal.
