Old building with character and nice view from dining area
Breakfast mediocre but good coffee. Had to lug suitcases up stairs
The view was beautiful and the room clean and comfortable. I've been to Lucerne, Switzerland and it reminded me of the inn I stayed in while there.
Breakfast was rather disappointing but we managed ! A bit far from U Maine which is where my son attends college, but I would stay again!
The room was very comfortable with a well designed bathroom that had a lot of counter space. We had a very good meal in their dining room.
The meals were absolutely the best around. Our waitress Molly was very prompt an knowledgeable. The veiws were incredible, along with the freindly staff.
We booked a room at the Inn but when we got there we had been upgraded to a room in a different building. Although the veiws were great the fireplace would not work, nor did the whirlpool tub. Both of these amenities we would have had in our first room..... the reason why we picked the Lucerne Inn.
Room was clean, Andes chocolates left in room were a wonderful surprise after a very long day in the car, dinner was available (I didn't have any as I was so exhausted. I didn't check to see if they would have brought something to the room.), the fragrance of the soaps were lovely.
The room was a little outdated, the bed not as comfortable as a place I had stayed at nearby, I would have liked to order breakfast on Saturday morning (there wasn't anything on the continental I could eat), the stairwell was very hot (did not affect the temperature in the room although I did sleep with the AC on).
A good location with fine views and all amenities provided as advertised.
The hotel seemed a little tired and is in need of a good renovation. Otherwise satisfactory.
Nice room , great view , lovely restaurant nice meals great service , we would be back
breakfast was what it was worth "Free"
check in at 2:00pm
Wedding music loud until 11:00pm. They should use the rooms closest to reception area for wedding guests. give others rooms futher away :-(
The dinner in the restaurant was absolutely superb, and the building and grounds are breathtaking. We booked *very* last minute, having no idea what to expect, and we were extremely impressed. Wonderful, welcoming staff -- we have put this on our list of 'must return tos'
The bed was a little hard for our tastes.
The room, E, was perfect.
Traffic noise. Guest noise.
We seldom stay in motels or inns that are 3 stars. The off season rate allowed this to happen. It was a pleasant experience.
Our room was 1 floor below the dinning room and foot traffic from above was unwelcomed.
Unfortunately I ended up in the hospital on Friday the 11th. My reservation was for April 12th. I was too ill to even remember I had the reservation. The Lucerne Inn is not willing to take my situation into consideration and reverse the charge for my "No Show". I will never make another reservation there.
Restaurant staff and food were excellent
No material issues !
Food, drinks, beds, fireplace, atmosphere all around great.
great breakfast. Loved the view and fireplace, coffee n the room and room service from the dining room
carpets were worn on stairs
Very comfortable inn in a scenic location. The bar and restaurant were very cozy and welcoming
the food is out of this world
We liked the quiet un-rushed atmosphere of the old Inn. The peaceful relaxing music. The view of the lake, especially at breakfast. Gas fire place. Our waitress for dinner was great! as was the rest of the staff.
Although we have an appreciation for the old Inn etc.. I would never stay on the lower level again our room #3 or 103 was directly under the rout to the bar and dining room. Until the bar closed at 9:00 pm and all morning, until we left, the foot traffic from above was like being inside a bass drum and quite annoying/stressful. Although we liked the gas fireplace in the evening it wouldn't fire up in the morning.
We couldn't wait to get there. On a girl's weekend with my daughter who is pregnant. The staff was friendly, the room was very clean, except for the rocking toilet
Our room was in the basement under the main dining room...we could hear all the footsteps...it was very annoying. When I called to asked to be changed, they offered a downgrade, just one bed and pullout couch...yuk It was a Saturday night and things didn't calm down till after 11 p.m. and the next morning the footsteps started around 8 a.m. in this case the bad outweighed the good
Very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful location and facility.
Dated hotel in a lovely way...old TV's and creaky floors that made us feel like we were in a old Irish Inn. Fireplace in room was wonderful, staff very friendly, food was great! Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Can't think of much, we really enjoyed our stay.
Good location and nice setting.
Room was very warm even with heating off and windows opened. Menu and restaurant felt dated - food was okay but Boston prices without the quality.
fireplace in my room. spacious.
breakfast food was not up to par with the rest of my experience.
