It had very helpful staff. It had a nice bar. The beds and pillows were wonderful. The lobby was not as expected as it was under construction.

Loved that it was so centrally situated. We were walking distance away from most of the sights. Also loved that the room was really spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great breakfasts with extremely pleasant staff! Very little traffic noise, despite being in the centre of the city….

Nice room. Great location. $94 was a good price. The sauna in the womens locker room at the fitness facility did not work. There was no water when I wanted to take a shower! Staff was apologetic. Offered me free lunch. I hope the lack of water is not the norm!!

The Madison Hotel was an extremely pleasant experience. The bedding was incredibly comfortable and I had one of the best nights' sleep! The food - I ordered a flat bread pizza and the cheese was sour. Mozzarella cheese is not supposed to be sour.....

We loved The Federalist restaurant, Chef Hunter McGuire (sp?), innovative food prep and taste. The breakfast buffet was also splendid but extremely pricey. We loved one of the porters, who actually convinced us to dine at TheFederalist the first night - good call. Was most helpful in every aspect. Too bad I can't remember his name, a longtime employee, however. The concierge also was extremely helpful. The Occupy movement tents were a couple of blocks away, which was educational, and the White House about a seven-minute walk.

Very good service and extremely comfortable rooms. I enjoyed my stay very much so. Probably could have done with a simple water cooler downstairs or free drinking water in the rooms.

Lovely staff and good restaurant - the Federalist Our water was off for 4 hours in the afternoon on the second day of our stay - made it difficult to get ready to go out for the evening.

Gym is okayish. Location was convenient. Comfortable beds and pillows! First we have been allocated to a room, which does not even look close to the one we have booked. After complaining at reception we have been moved to another room, which was not much better. Everyone was showing their palm asking for money for everything, which I have found very disturbing. Parking is extremely expensive for overnight. We did not think it was worth the money...

Location was great... They don't provide a space for smokers, outside in the rain or nothing.

“I liked its central location to shopping, dining, historical sites and Washington DC. The buses and tour buses run every few minutes. The people in the businesses were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, no matter where we went, and not terribly expensive. The area has a college town atmosphere and the hotel suits families visiting students. I would definately return. Rooms are large.” Susan, Santa Ynez |
