    Location/lobby/porch

Facilities Service-floor was dusty. Bathtub in poor condition, no stopper, handle for shower head option stuck, faucet handle came off. They called plumber. He arrived after midnight. Couldn't replace handle nor was stopper provided. Came back next day way later than promised. No ice available when staff not present.

    beautiful area

Absolutely terrible experience. Little in our room was as advertised. The staff has been absolutely unresponsive after I was promised a partial refund of money.

My husband and I enjoyed our first stay in the garden district. The Magnolia Mansion was convenient to good restaurants, the trolley and a nice stroll to see several sites in the garden district. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a wonderful place to be! The staff were professional and friendly, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming - even the antiques were "touchable!" Close to the cable car (one block), Emeril's Delmonico, and not far from the tourist attractions.

    What's not to like???

Not much. Beautiful main floor, good location

Room was terrible, bed was horrible. Property needed a good pressure washing and painting. Breakfast was cheap. We left after 2 nights (had a 4 night stay)

The room was beautiful, The chandeliers were beautiful in the hallway and rooms across the hall. The room was clean.

There was construction next door, but that was not their fault. No one told us anything about the history of the mansion nor were there any flyers available. There was a courtyard where you should be able to park, but there was only street parking available.

Location was good. Able to drop off luggage prior to check in

Total sense of disorganisation. Breakfast was of a very low standard for a high market place, it chaotic on occasions with more guests than settings and not enough food to go around. The room was quaint but quite impractical. The lighting was poor, the shower was impossible to use without flooding the floor and basics such as toilet paper were not replenished. The cleanliness of the room was lacking and sheets were not changed after three days as promised. Overall, a very disappointing stay from a place with so much potential. Would not recommend.

The staff was not expecting our arrival. That point was very clearly made. The staff complained to us about other guests. We were in a converted basement. It did not resemble the pictures. The bed was broken. There was a booger on the wall behind the bed. There was not on site parking, as advertised. I have stayed in nicer hostels.

    Beautiful home, great location

The room was FREEZING! There are two large staircases to traverse with luggage. No one was around to help with that. The breakfast was horrible. Prepackaged stuff... nothing cooked or "real" (like butter, food, juice, bread, etc)

The B&B clearly did not live up to the high level of accommodations summary on Bookings.com. We had several issues with the condition of our room - not properly cleaned, sparsely furnished and there was a general lack of toiletries. The breakfast had quantity but lacked in quality - the bread was basic and stale. If you operated the microwave and the toaster at the same time, the fuse would blow. There was limited breakfast seating for guests so folks had to wait for someone to be finished. No one was assigned to handle the breakfast so we had to remove used dishes, glasses & utensils and set out our place settings. The Magnolia is a great historical space and with a focus toward solving the above operating issues I feel it should be able get closer to the 5 stars it claims to provide to travelers

The stuff was very friendly and very kind to our child too. The atmosphere was warm, cosy and calm. Excellent location, close to the street car and Magazine street. Quite neighborhood.

We've been a bit dissapointed about the quality of the breakfast buffet, not that tasty.
