Room and facilities were clean. Staff was friendly.
Shower stall and bathroom were tiny. Bed was too low to the floor. No comfortable place to sit. Housekeeping forgot to come by our room.
Picture the room as a square. In one corner walled off with a door was the toilet. On that same wall was the sink then a bath/shower in the adjecent corner all open to the rest of the room. The TV only got 1 channel. The pillows were flat. The continental breakfast was a refrigerator freezer with frozen waffles, juice, toast, begals help yourself.
Love the style, cozy.
Quiet so I slept well, clean
invisible staff, a towel but no wash cloth, mother hubbard breakfast, no remote for tv
Uncomplicated check-in/out. Nice location. Good and easy breakfast. Would come again.
great location, cute lodge super relaxed atmosphere - similar to a b&b
i never saw the staff. they could vacuum under the bed no tv remote and no staff member to ask wifi didn't work
Easy access to resorts Clean, simple, well-kept
Little sound insulation between common area and bedrooms.
Rooms were nice, peaceful location
Room was dirty. No clean bed linen. Lots f hair laying around.
A nice room for the price.
Any talking in the hallways you will hear clearly.
It was modern and comfortable and the help yourself breakfast in the morning was great!
Walking distance to shuttle stop across Main St to The Village. It's an 8 min walk, down hill FROM The Village. I liked that my room was ready, clean and available for me before the 3pm check in. The decor was very minimalist but cozy. The continental breakfast had a good selection of bagels, cereals, juices, yogurt and frozen waffles. Fresh fruit included bananas and apples. Coffee, tea, hot choc was also available. You literally could have breakfast ANYTIME.
The staff checked me in but I was lucky he was around at the time. Otherwise, expect to have an envelope with your room key and an info card to fill out. There was a chalk board with contact phone numbers if I had questions.
Very nice young man who introduced himself as the innkeeper and recommended excellent vegetarian restaurant for dinner and particular hiking trail. Quaint atmosphere downstairs with comfortable, if sparse furnishings in bedroom upstairs.
Initial bad smell upon entering building which seemed to dissipate and was gone by evening. Lighting in room poor--no bedside light on one side.
No person to greet you, no one to get clean towels from or any other info unless you call a number on a chalkboard. Room trash not picked up for 3 days Did it ourselves.
Great host with tips on places to eat, get cheap gas and warnings about bears. Which we were told not to be afraid of because the grey bears are very cautious. We got our hopes up and wanted to actually see a bear, but alas we did not. But the recommended burger joint, named simply Burgers, was an excellent recommendation.
Slow wifi, but that was the whole city of mammoth lake and not the hotels fault.
Good location central to many amazing natural features such as lakes, rivers, volcanic craters and all Yosemite has to offer. There was a free breakfast that you may have at your leisure— no cut off time. Nice for late sleeping vacationers.
There were no staff to be found on location all weekend. The sheets and blankets were dirty as was the jacuzzi tub for which we paid extra.
No one there to check in or out. No wash cloth or glasses.
It was cozy and worked well for just a place to sleep and shower
Strange that there wasn't anybody to check you in. You filled out a sheet of paper and it had your room key. Basically it was an honor code system. Didn't meet or see any staff. When booking the room it stated small desk and flat screen tv. All we had was a tiny old school tv/vcr combo and a bed.
Clean room. Great bathroom with Jacuzzi tub
Internet was so slow. Worse than dial up. Bed was not comfortable. No clock.in the room. Never saw any staff
Great value; not luxurious, but very pleasant, comfortable bed, clean, quiet room. Staff was courteous and helpful. Location was perfect for us. No complaints, would recommend, and will stay here again.
Great location, walking distance to the village gondola, bus stop just across the street. There is a fridge and microwave in the communal kitchen - handy to have these. Room comes with a decent cable and strong wifi, can't complain about anything really.
Clean room, continental breakfast
Low water pressure in shower, lack of chair and table in room 8. Bed was only about a foot off the floor making it hard to get up, but the mattress was comfy. The toilet flush handle had to be manually opened and closed.
No one greeted us at front desk
Low key, relaxed atmosphere, Nice lobby, easy parking. Our double room was spacious, minimally furnished and clean.
Portable heater in room had trouble keeping room warm and it wasn't even that cold outside. No bed side lamps. Some of the breakfast items were not that fresh, the cream for the coffee was frozen
The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing The inn keepers were very accommodating and friendly
Location was very handy--close to several restaurants and the main road which leads to the ski resort. This could be said about many places, however, because Mammoth Lakes is very small. The couple that manages this place was friendly, but the owners live in Malibu, they said. Breakfast is "at your leisure". I'm glad there was only one other couple staying there because the breakfast area is outside Room #8's door. It might make it difficult to sleep in. The bed was very comfortable.
I had room #8. It is spartan in decor: double bed on metal frame without headboard or footboard. There were 2 small night stands on either side of the bed. There was a metal shelf with 3 hangars for clothes. Another low shelf for a suitcase. There was no desk or chair. I had to put my laptop on the nightstand and sit on the bed---very uncomfortable. The room was heated with a rolling, portable radiator style electric heater; it did the job. In general the place was cool and an elderly couple complained about the temperature and wore coats to breakfast. The bathroom looked fairly new. Slate tile and glassed in shower was attractive, but the tile was very cold on bare feet. There was a small (18" x 24") area rug for use in front of the toilet or shower. The vanity wasn't tight against the wall and the counter space was limited to the small side areas around the sink. A toiletry bag barely kept from falling between the wall and vanity counter. There was 1 hook on the bathroom door. Lights were so dim, it was difficult to read. The shower water flow was anemic---probably 1 gal per minute. It's worse than the gravity-feed showers one finds in Mexico.
