best location for first time visitors to US. very clean and comfortable. staff incredibly amazing specially front desk staff MOHAMMED, he was great helping me out and very friendly.
Location Friendly Staff Comfortable beds Cleanliness Excellent concierge
The lifts, but these were being updated
The location is ideal, an easy walk to all the main attractions. Very friendly staff, we got a great welcome at check in and our 4 yr old daughter received a goody bag. Comfortable room, clean and a nice view of 7th Ave.
Hotel could do with freshening up, decorating etc. The elevators are painfully slow but the hotel are aware of this and are planning improvements. No bar or leisure facilities. I would still stay here again though due to great staff and location.
Decor, lack of gym and fitness equipment
The location was excellent
Elevators were very slow. Stay on a low floor so you can take stairs. I was on 15 floor and waited 20 minutes for elevator, finally after the second day started taking service elevator.
Elevators are very slow No service offered (no real breakfast, no restaurant, no bar)
Elevators are incredibly slow; hallways look rundown - need fresh paint and new carpet
location, internet, staff
I think the hotel needs to be refurbished. The rates charged do not equal the quality of the hotel.
Bathrooms old and dank. Rooms require updating.
Excellent location, very clean and friendly staff
Room needs minor repair and updating.
Location in Times Square When it was time to leave!!
Great price, excellent location. Ideal for the first time tourist (as was I). Staff were lovely, helpful and always had a smile. Lovely large rooms and very comfy beds
Location and staff were very helpful. On our arrival the roof had a large hole in hole in it and we were moved to another room quickly.
Waiting over 20 minutes for an elevator is very frustrating. The inconvenience of the elevator situation affected our movements and things we did. Rooms were very dusty (tufts of dust from the sprinklers and wallpaper visibly dusty).
Location is central for everything. Bed was comfy. Able to check in slightly early.
Staff were unhelpful and no smiles at all. Lifts took 10 minutes every day to get in and out of building. No milk for drinks in room. Tiny bath towels. Lobby was congested every day with people hanging about- probably due to lack of free internet in rooms. Rooms were not particularly clean- a cleaner came in daily but only did basics. Noise from neighbours- we were kept awake by a crying baby for 2 nights.
bathroom ceiling bad room needs updating elevators unavailable and nobody working on them
It's location, it's centre to everything.
The Elevators took for ages and was always full, you could wait upto 15 minutes to get the lobby and there was nothing to do in Hotel
The location was great and close to Central Park and Time Square. Although Time Square is over crowded and run down. There were plenty of places to eat in all four directions from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The lifts are extremely slow and full and you have to wait for ages. Plan ahead when going out if you are staying in one of the top floors as it might take 20 minutes to get a lift. There is nowhere to get food in the hotel except a bagel or muffin and a coffee in the morning. You have to pay for Wifi which is was unusual for the US. They need to provide free Wifi.
Hotel needs an upgrade , dated rooms.
Great price even better location. Ideal for the first time tourist. Not the swankiest of hotels but you should be out sight seeing :)
Friendly staff and helpful but some had no knowledge of how to get to places eg which bus or train. Position excellent for solo at night. It would be good to see at least a microwave at breakfast bar so that pastries are not needed to be warmed on toaster creating a health hazard. Staff are so eager to follow requests.
The long wait for elevators up to 10 minutes. Lack of vacuuming of floors. Extended my stay but it took 3 days and mmany calls for this to be known by all staff.
Excellent location, right where you want to be. The staff were lovely, helpful and always had a smile. Lovely large rooms and very comfy beds.
The bathroom floor was a tad dirty, obviously hadn't been washed. On our last night a group of people had arrived and kept us awake till 12.30 being rowdy in the hallway!!
I really can't fault anything about this hotel, the staff are very special and go that extra mile for you, the hotel is in an amazing spot in between Times square and central park (7th ave). The price is really competitive. Staying in this hotel really added to what was an unbelievable trip. Thank you,
It's a shame because I really would like to have said excellent to everything, however! The room we stayed in was in bad repair especially the bathroom. If I'd been given that room in the Uk i'd expect to be moved. With that in mind I'd recommend or return but maybe I'd be more vocal about the room.
Eddie at the reception is the most valuable thing at the property
It needs a refurbishing
