We loved the attention to detail throughout the inn with its beautiful and well maintained historic interior design and decor. The staff was very friendly and accommodating even though we were the only guests at the inn during off season ion a weekday in early November. We loved our corner room named Windsor. It offered a lot of natural light, a comfortable bed, with a sitting area and nice bathroom. Having a fire in the fireplace in our room at night was wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast in the dining room in front of the fireplace was delightful. We also enjoyed tea & sandwiches with cookies in the library in the late afternoon. We enjoyed hot apple cider in the living room upon arrival.
Pampered pets are not allowed.
Room was decorated nicely and seemed clean
Grounds were unkept shrubs were overgrown.
Very accommodating. Will assist and help all the way. GREAT great food.
Lovely location We were well looked after and really enjoyed our stay.
Our time there clashed with a motor bike convention, but even that did not put us off!!
The dining room staff and housekeeping staff were phenomenal. Their attention to detail made what would have been a nice stay, a terrific one.
Not that we were in the room much, but the TV was tiny. During our visit, Storm Arthur was brewing and we could hardly see the newscast to watch for warnings.
VERY NICE AND GREAT FOOD
KIND OF PRICEY
The entire romantic layout and siting of the property.
Hotel was at a great location. Very quite and secluded.
Internent was poor and spotty. Price was a little more than expected.
The facility was beautiful. Clean and update while keeping all the characteristics of its old charm. The owner was there the last day of our stay and introduced himself. Lucy was also great and the breakfasts and dinner were all wonderful.
No cell coverage or wi fi this is a huge drawback
very well situated by the pond, beautiful view, friendly staff, High tea 16 -17 hrs. plus point (unusual - xtra mile) & breakfast included in the price fine dining was very good
decorations in the room over the top
