Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Even though the rooms are small, they are very well appointed and clean.
Room was very comfortable and good size. We were able to check in before noon at no extra cost. Tons of public transport close by.
Comfortable room, loved the maritime inspired decor. Great view from our room on 10 th floor. Staff very helpful. Great location.
Restaurants on site; wonderful room service and terrific prices. Great valet service, always someone at the door to assist. Lovely view from my room of setting sun over the city.
Lobby has a wonderful library but the lighting is too dim to actually read for very long.
Location. Chelsea market and shopping steps away.
Hotel lobby, hallways and rooms are overall very dark. Small rooms and small cramped bathrooms.
free wifi, bigelow bath products, awesome location, super staff, convenience of bar in hotel!
Love the atmosphere and decor, felt cozy. Window plug excellent for blocking outdoor sound and light. Will definitely stay again!
Weird loud whistling sound from the ventilation -- even though the excellent window plug blocked outdoor noise, still needed to sleep with earplugs.
Very good location
Very small rooms, not too comfy beds
Perfect locatation! Highline, Chelsea Market, restaurants, night life, staff, all excellent!
A little noisy. But we didn't mind. We never hear that kind of city noise, so we actually opened the windows and slept great. The bed was so comfortable. Room kind of small for my liking, but definitely manageable. I understand that's pretty normal in NYC!
Love the design, service was excellent. Room very nice and food outstanding
Location, Staff, Facilities, Rooms.
Wireless - Its way way worse than last visit, almost bad enough now that I wouldn't stay a 7th time. Its not the worst wireless I've seen, I've stayed in one hotel worse.
Everything was clean. Staff was great. Room was very tight
Room was very tight. And you could here a lot of the street noise and we were on the 10 floor and herd people and horns till about 5.
Excellent location Clean and quiet bedroom / bathroom Free Wifi
The lobby / bedrooms look a bit old
Loved the location. We've been to NYC many times and chose not to stay in Midtown which is too busy and touristy for us. We loved the location which was more of a NY neighborhood feel. Great bar/restaurant at hotel. Rooms were small but very comfortable and clean. Easy check in/check out and staff was very helpful.
Love the location! Couldn't be any closer to the best venues in town!
My radar went up when they place ear plugs on both sides of the bed. It seemed a bit like a frat house. A little loud.
The Maritime has one of the most efficient layouts of any hotel room in Manhattan. The room is not too small, and the cleanliness of the hotel plus its helpful staff make it one of the best spots in town.
The street noise can be distracting. Ear plugs are provided, but they don't work so well for me. The taxis honking on 9th avenue last until 3-4am. There isn't much the hotel can do about this - ie not its fault. Otherwise it is a very peaceful room.
The staff in the breakfast room is rude and slow
Always a great vibe and a great sleep
Location, great area and right near a subway stop. Rooms were nice and clean.
The lobby was very dark which made it seem a bit seedy, brightened up it would be a nice place to hang out. Expensive.
My daughter lives in the West Village and the location was great. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Room service was very prompt and friendly as well.
From the moment we pulled up outside the hotel, my family was greeted and treated with the utmost hospitality! They took care of my entire family, including our 2 year old--recommending a crib for his comfortable sleeping. They remembered his name the next morning too:-) Whenever we needed anything, our requests were fulfilled quickly and with a smile. We will definitely stay at the Maritime again because of the excellent staff members!
There was a great deal of noise late in the P.M. due to the club right next door. Should have called the front desk, as when I informed them the next day, they said there was something you could put on the window to block out the noise. They also said that they could contact club to lower music.
The Hotel location was really excellent near the Chelsea market, Soho and hip districts of the Big Apple. The hotel offers good restaurant and bar with good food and drinks. The rooms were good and toilet very clean and nice.
the bed is comfortable but a little bit small for 2 persons.
Location is great, close to subway stop, High Line, great restaurants and art galleries....literally across the street from the Chelsea Market
On the weekends, NOISY, NOISY, NOISY! They actually have ear plugs next to the bed! If you can sleep through anything, this is your hotel....but bar noise is loud, taxis honking, sirens....a true cacophony
Staff and service were excellent. The lobby is very dim, but had great model ships and lots of lounging space. I loved the porthole window in the room. The patio was lovely.
There were extremely loud nightclubs on the street level. The sidewalks were packed with club patrons and the music was so loud (until very late) that it was impossible to sleep even with the earplugs provided.
