This was my third stay in this Hotel but definetely the last one. First of all , reception staff was not friendly and helpful at all, secondly in one word housekeeping was really horrible I would say there was no house keeping.First day when I checked-in all the plates , glasses etc... was in the washing machine no coffee , I had to ask for coffee bag everyday , we were staying 4 people , they insisted to put only 2 set of towel daily. They even did not washed coffee mugs. Reception could not even arrange a taxi to go to airport even I was ordered in the morning, I had to wait and than I went out to the street and find it myself.

Suite size was apartment proportions with a view on three sides, but be sure to ask for a room with a view. Excellent proximity to museums, Central Park, subway, buses, eating and shopping. Good to be away from the crowds. Great to be able to prepare your own meals in the good sized kitchen. The main downside is the subway extension project going on next-door that gives the area a feeling of living inside a building site. There is some noise, particularly from 7am onward, but as I was in the top part of the building and out for most of the day, it wasn't too offensive; however if you are a light sleeper this may not be the hotel for you... unless you have earplugs. Whilst staff were polite and friendly, considering the cost of the rooms, service was only basic, the toiletries were poor quality and breakfast isn't included in the cost. Kitchen was reasonably equipped but the oven didn't work.

Nice spacious room. Just what we needed. The lobby is weird. What's with the fake grass walls? The hallways are a little beat up, but the room was nice.

The location was great. Very easy to access the subway and buses. Please buy a weekly Metropass. It costs $29 and gives unlimited rides for7 days. Well worth buying. And although the traffic is noisy, you get used to it, and it is way worse closer to Times Sq. Saved money being able to cook breakfast, and there are plenty of food places 1 to 5 star close by. The grouting in the bathroom is very old, and has been glued over several times around the bath. This is really unsightly and a bit of mildew on the shower grouting needs to be fixed.

A really warm hotel. Both the hotel and the staff made us feel at home which is the aim of a good hotel. The Marmara Manhattan accomplished that! Will defenitely stay again. No heat in the bathroom.

I was impressed with the size of the suite and that it had 2 picture windows with different views The bedding (sheets and pillows) could have been of higher quality, as well as the mattress. The framed picture in the dining area was ok but the one in the living room was tacky (and cheap)

The room was very clean and nicely appointed. It was great having a kitchen. The night clerk was super rude and obviously hated her job. She demanded my mother remove her driver's license while checking in like a police officer. Unnecessary. She also was very curt when we called down with a question. The next evening she called our room in error looking for another guest and when we told her she had the wrong room she just hung up - no apology! Also, the current construction on Second Avenue is on going all night. It makes it difficult to sleep if you are a light sleeper.

I was upgraded to a one bedroom on the 21st floor and had absolutely fantastic views of the East River and downtown. I got to watch the sun rise over the river, and was almost late for my meeting.....watching traffic, pedestrians, the subway construction, etc. It was a great nyc experience!

The location was good, just 5 minutes walk to the subway and 10 minutes to central park. The kitchen was very useful as we could self cater some of the time - there are delis and supermarkets within 5 minute walk. The staff, especially Robert, were really friendly and helpful. Access to internet in the foyer was great for organising trips. The only complaint we had was the noise from the subway construction nearby, but they didn't work at the weekend and in the end we got used to it. We were on the 10th floor, I guess you would hear less if you were higher up.

I arrived late, and was told that my room had been upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom, which was a nice surprise. The rooms at the Marmaara are large to begin with by Manhattan standards, and this upgrade was great!

I was very happy with my stay at the Marmara Manhattan hotel because the room was clean and spacious, the beds were good and we had an excellent baby cot for our baby, the neighborhood is very nice full of life and services, without having the heavy down town traffic and noise. The staff was very nice and helpful.

It is a decent hotel. Rooms are big but could be remodeled. Not much as far as service but rooms are clean and it served its purpose for my visit. Thre rooms are dated and there is a smell in the room.

It does not feel like you are staying at a hotel. It has a luxury apartment building feel to it. The fitness center could be upgraded. They should improve on the bathroom amenities.

Location is excellent for museums on the upper East Side. 2Nd Ave subway construction was not an issue as was suggested by another reviewer. We had a suite, which had wonderful views of the surrounding area.
