The convenience of kitchen facilities.
The apartment and foyer looked and felt a bit tired.
The staff is incredible-so accommodating and friendly-old European service model I think. Large building but intimate feeling when staying there. Having a one bedroom in NYC instead of a small cramped room was priceless. Would definitely stay there again-in fact we booked again right away.
It was a little noisy with the 2nd street subway going in but quiet on the weekend.
Staff are very helpful Size of the apartment Location - close enough but out of the madness
Wi Fi a little slow
Comfortable beds, perfect pillows, wifi, spacious, surprise eating places near-by, close to Central Park and The Hudson River. Our apartment had great views,
Decor a little dated, wardrobe doors need adjusting so they open and close easily.
Spacious. Nice bath products. Staff helped arrange tickets to baseball with short notice. Some nice restaurants, grocery stores and 96th St subway nearby. Central park within walking distance
A bit far from the action of mid/downtown. Lots of construction along 2nd Ave for 2016 subway - noisy and unsightly. Furniture in apartment needs updating - our couch was very uncomfortable. Unpleasant odour in apartment remained whole stay. No vacuuming of carpet our whole stay. No washing machine in apartment - had to pay to use communal machines. Free Wifi didn't work on my iPhone. Air con in lounge room not strong enough for size of room so a bit hot. No bath robes or slippers supplied.
bed and beddings are comfy! one of their best sleep in a hotel!!
"Rooms" are apartments, with living rooms and kitchen. Great for some longer stay, cooking home etc.
It is not a hotel. Do not expect hotel facilities like restaurant, services, etc.
Great size with separate bedroom. Staff were very helpful.
Very spacious apartment like hotel. Living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom and roomy bathroom. I have heard horror stories about how small the hotels are. It was more than I expected. Looked exactly like it did on line. Excellent Italian restaurant across the street. Very friendly staff.
It was noisy as there is construction in the area but that can't be helped.
Spacious rooms. Friendly staff
location was great but at this time a lot of roadwork thus will get better
We were upgraded to a 3rd floor one bedroom suite as I had requested a lower floor which was very comfortable and clean.
The noise from the construction road works was so loud that we could not sleep after 7.30 am and also the view was not very nice.
Staff were very friendly and helpful giving great advice. Apartment was lovely, hotel service was unexpected but much appreciated.
Wi-fi was intermittent, often unable to get it. A little frustrating as is our only way of contacting friends without costing a fortune.
clean spacious room and courteous staff..
construction site in front of the hotel and 2nd Av. location is a bit dull..
I really like the location (close to subway and Central Park) as well as basic installations.of the hotel.
First of all, a never-ended construction nearby- it is really noisy! It is my third stay in Marmara within the last 7 years, and I must admit that the service and the helpfulness of the personal are going down, cleaning is unacceptable in some cases, and Wi-Fi signal is just poor. Overall, it looks like that the overall quality of this hotel is continuing its fall down, so for the next visit to NY I will definitely consider alternative options.
Lovely view from our 30th floor apartment. Always cleaned very well and staff extremely helpful
Only one thing and that was the lift door did not open when it reached our floor on at least two occasions. This was a little scary to say the least
Clean large room with plenty of facilities, the location was good with plenty of public transport close by.
Noise from the street, did ask for high floor when booking but were put on the 5th asked to be moved after 1st night but was told nothing was available, Disappointed as booked 5 months in advance.
Large apartment, light, airy, all facilities including basic cooking utensils, washer/ drier... distant view of Empire State Building. Great well stocked supermarket 5 mins walk.
Decor tired, verging on basic, carpets stained, needed internet for work but this rarely worked consistently which was stressful, a long way to Midtown but shortish walk to Central Park, big gripe that major subway work directly outside apartment block not mentioned.... relentless noise at times and unsightly. Oh and ironing board an accident waiting to happen. Rickety & no excuse bearing in mind high cost per night.
Convenient for upper east activities. Good $$ for Manhattan. Clean. Quiet.
In pouring rain nobody to help with luggage (showed up after we made it to the lobby). Expensive parking (they need to arrange a rate deal with nearby garages).
Far from attractions.
wifi connection was so bad, which irritated me all the time location is too far from the city
Space and confort. The Staff.
very spacious room, fully equipped kitchen, responsive staff, just 2 blocks to metro
will need renovation soon
The view, size of the room, convenience of washer dryer in our room, and a full kitchen! We visit NYC multiple times a year, for the money this hotel has no competition. The rooms are huge, staff is great, clean facility, wonderful!
Wifi issues ( but they are getting a new system, so is probably resolved by now!).
Staff were very helpful. A good position. Very comfortable
