Comfortable surroundings, complimentary wine and cheese and a good breakfast buffet were excellent perks.
The room was quite small. It was next to the elevator and people's comings and goings made it noisy.
A lot of character and again you can't beat the location - and Stephanie was awesome
Sheets were a little scratchy
people at desk were very friendly and helpful. Always spoke to us when we came in.
The location and the clean and comfortable bed. It was our third stay on the way home.
The air conditioning fan to noisy. Had to shut it off to sleep
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Said they'd call when our room was ready, but they didn't.
The friendly and professional staff, elegant and comfortable room and the location to walk historical Savanah. The experience was like going back in time in this oldest hotel still in operation in Savanah.
The included continental breakfast was adequate but not up to par compared to many B&B's we have stayed.
Free breakfast was somewhat sparse
It was such an amazing place to stay in a lovely location, walking distance to all our favorite historic district places.
Breakfast wasn't as good as I think it could be.
The room was smaller than I expected, but very charming.
Barkeeper was fantastic .
Just like Savannah with all the histrory
Booked the hotel on a whim through an online site without reading many details. Location was perfect but the staff was amazing. So friendly and eager to please without any expectations. The room was beautiful and very clean. Can't wait to return.
The stay as said was great
Just the food stain I saw on side of table cloth
Super friendly staff that was always ready to help. Always willing to Answer our questions about where to eat and what to see. Location could not have been better. 5-10 minute walk to the river and 10-15 minute walk to Forsyth park.
Location, location, location
We loved our room and the balcony and we also really loved the beautiful and peaceful dining area used for the complimentary breakfast. The food was excellent! We look forward to coming and visiting again!
The fact that we only got a couple hours to enjoy it :)
The bed and location!
The window blinds in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned for a long time.
Lots of outside street noise on the weekend. We were on the Broughton street side with balcony.
I like the historian feel it had and the charm.
I was under the impression that it was a bed and breakfast but it was just a hotel. I would have rather stayed somewhere else and just toured the hotel. For the price I paid I don't feel like I got anything worth that. The breakfast was terrible, room and bathroom were super small, very noisy, rough towels and uncomfortable bed.
The location and the staff were both excellent.
The bed and especially the pillows were not to the expected level of a 4 star hotel. The bathroom had no counter space at all.
Staff most helpful and considerate.
Limited selection at breakfast and parking challenges, though there is valet parking which I would recommend.
There is a wonderful character to the hotel, with a quaint lobby and atrium breakfast room. The rooms were smallish, but nice, the bathrooms probably having been added in later than the original structure. The balcony overlooking the street was a nice feature.
Parking arrangement was difficult but there's probably no better way, considering the location.
hotel size, ease in getting around hotel and city, lovely accommodations.
Good breakfast Charming old place
Having booked a room with balcony we did not expect to crawl out of a window to get to the balcony. The bathtub was interesting, but almost impossible to get into for a shower.
