The rooms were really nice with hardwood floors, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were nice and extremely helpfull.
For the price I expected a little better view that the roof over the room that breakfast was served.
Friendly, helpful staff. We were looking for something that fit the historic area and The Marshall House fit the bill. Easy walking to all the squares and sights we wanted to see. Fun run to & around Forsyth Park. There is a quaint little bar that can be entered into from the lobby. It has that old world feel to it. A nice place to end the day after all the sights have been seen.
The breakfast was very similar to what is served at the chain hotels we stayed at along our trip to Savannah. We ate out for breakfast after the first morning. It was okay because there were a couple we wanted to try anyway.
The location and the old world feel of the hotel was nice. The staff was very polite and helpful. .
There was an eaten chicken bone on the bedroom floor. Plus I found the cover to a needle.
Staff was very unwelcoming. Valet was friendly but our car was damaged in their care.
Staff was amazing..very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect
Our room was in a terrible location. Our view was the air conditioning units
ambience, old charm.wine and cheese and staff very friendly
not enough counter space in the bathroom for items. had to keep packing them away.
everything except the view from the room that obviously varies
poor view from the room. (no view)
The lobby area was very nice, liked the evening wine and cheese and the breakfast. Staff very friendly.
Room nice but very small, had a queen size bed, which took most of the room. Two couldn't pass around the bed at same time.
We loved Joseph, the concierge. He was a wealth of information! The hotel is full of historic charm. We rocked in our chairs on the balcony for hours.
I liked the treatment of the staff.
The looks of the place and the location was perfect
The bathroom was my least favorite area in the place
Centrally located to the historic district. Staff was very friendly and professional including the valet attendants.
Did not have much of a view from my room which was in the rear of the building.
Quint, old hotel with modern amenities. Lovely staff, especially Bernard the bell hop.
Breakfast- quiche, frozen fruit, no fresh eggs or fruit
Staff was very nice, is 5 min walk to the river; even though is situated on one of the main streets is quite and your sleep won't be disturbed. you can not miss a dinner at 45 Bistro, the food is Amazing.
Location, good breakfast, and wine and cheese in the afternoon, and the friendly staff.
Beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. Everything was within walking distance, but would recommend renting or bringing bikes to see more of the city. If you like paranormal activity, bring a digital recorder for the night, you won't be disappointed.
Nedd more sitting space.
Loved the charm of the hotel, the location and the friendliness of the staff. Rooms are comfortable and stylish despite their age.
TV wasn't hung well so we couldn't watch easily.
The Marshall House has a lot of history and is quite beautiful. The Staff is top notch!
The morning buffet was disappointing. Not much selection and basically the same thing each morning. The food quality was poor. The bathroom was not well maintained. The shower valve required a lot of effort to shut off.
It is overpriced for what you get. Did not get balcony room as requested. The breakfast was not acceptable. There was nothing to go with the scrambled eggs. No potatoes, grits, sausage, or bacon. The bananas were not fit to eat. The whole experience was not as one would expect from this landmark hotel.
Great service, the location, Beautiful rooms
It is hardly soundproof but same can be said about all hotels in USA
My husband and I stayed 2 nights (then extended to a 3rd night) at the Marshall House this past weekend. We were in town for a wedding, and the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant during such a hectic time. We received wonderful, friendly service from every employee at the front desk, and they were more than willing to help us work out some timetable and room change issues when we realized we needed to stay an extra night AND have the bridal party get ready at the hotel. The room change was smooth and stress-free, even in the midst of getting ready for the wedding. Thank you! Breakfast was also delicious, and we absolutely loved the history and character of the rooms. The hotel's proximity to everything was perfect! We will definitely return to The Marshall House the next time we are in Savannah!
We had an issue with the air in our room. They were very accomodating. The staff was extremely friendly in a really relaxed way.
The staff was so friendly. Loved the wine and cheese get together, met some wonderful people. Like that check out time was later.
Room was noisy as AC was loud and would wake us up at night. View from only small window was of rooftop with multiple AC units which were very noisy and ran almost non stop and also a three story parking garage which blocked any views of rhe historic district. The last morning there I got fresh black paint on my white shorts from a wrought iron chair at the continental breakfast. When I told the attendant at the check out desk I was just told "sorry". No free off street parking parking. With what you had to pay for the room they should have provided free valet parking instead of charging $15 a day.
The breakfast for the money was terrible. You get a better breakfast at a Fairfield inn.
