Centrally located to the historic district. Staff was very friendly and professional including the valet attendants.

Did not have much of a view from my room which was in the rear of the building.

Staff was very nice, is 5 min walk to the river; even though is situated on one of the main streets is quite and your sleep won't be disturbed. you can not miss a dinner at 45 Bistro, the food is Amazing.

Beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. Everything was within walking distance, but would recommend renting or bringing bikes to see more of the city. If you like paranormal activity, bring a digital recorder for the night, you won't be disappointed.

    Nedd more sitting space.

Loved the charm of the hotel, the location and the friendliness of the staff. Rooms are comfortable and stylish despite their age.

TV wasn't hung well so we couldn't watch easily.

The Marshall House has a lot of history and is quite beautiful. The Staff is top notch!

The morning buffet was disappointing. Not much selection and basically the same thing each morning. The food quality was poor. The bathroom was not well maintained. The shower valve required a lot of effort to shut off.

    Location

It is overpriced for what you get. Did not get balcony room as requested. The breakfast was not acceptable. There was nothing to go with the scrambled eggs. No potatoes, grits, sausage, or bacon. The bananas were not fit to eat. The whole experience was not as one would expect from this landmark hotel.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights (then extended to a 3rd night) at the Marshall House this past weekend. We were in town for a wedding, and the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant during such a hectic time. We received wonderful, friendly service from every employee at the front desk, and they were more than willing to help us work out some timetable and room change issues when we realized we needed to stay an extra night AND have the bridal party get ready at the hotel. The room change was smooth and stress-free, even in the midst of getting ready for the wedding. Thank you! Breakfast was also delicious, and we absolutely loved the history and character of the rooms. The hotel's proximity to everything was perfect! We will definitely return to The Marshall House the next time we are in Savannah!

    Central location

Room was noisy as AC was loud and would wake us up at night. View from only small window was of rooftop with multiple AC units which were very noisy and ran almost non stop and also a three story parking garage which blocked any views of rhe historic district. The last morning there I got fresh black paint on my white shorts from a wrought iron chair at the continental breakfast. When I told the attendant at the check out desk I was just told "sorry". No free off street parking parking. With what you had to pay for the room they should have provided free valet parking instead of charging $15 a day.

    Location

The breakfast for the money was terrible. You get a better breakfast at a Fairfield inn.

One of your front desk staff members was "short" in temperament - it didn't sit well with me - others were delightful. I'd also have appreciated an extended breakfast time - ending at 10am was too early for us. Regarding the room housekeeping, I would have expected more flexibility by the hotel staff regarding getting my room cleaned. I felt pressure to be up and out within your time constraints, my mine, the customer.

There is little I can say that has not already been said about The Marshall House. It is a great property, with a professional, knowledgeable and warm staff. We stayed in two different rooms, 204 and 321, because we added some days to our original itinerary and the room we had originally booked was not available on the last day. 204 was our favorite, it is a smallish room at the quiet end of the reportedly haunted second floor (I don't believe in ghosts, but we did experience some very odd things in there, inexplicable light phenomena and . . . er . . . my girlfriend says something grabbed her foot the first night while we were sleeping in bed. She woke up terrified. But that might have been the crab-cakes.) The amenities are top notch. Bedding was very fine, pillow-top, high thread count sheets, pillows of an amiable squishiness. Nice armoire. Shower temp a bit tricky, beautiful wood floor a bit creaky, but the building is old, and that's what you're there for.

    Having to leave.

The location was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. Loved the complimentary cheese and wine every night.

They had breakfast every morning but I was hoping for more variety. The food offered was mainly bread items. I was hoping for the money we spent they would have had better breakfast choices.
