This historic inn overlooks the Savannah River and has suites with a microwave and small refrigerator. The historic hotel is within a 5-minute drive of historic downtown Savannah.

Close to everything. Very helpful staff.
Just about everything...The hotel is comfortable, staff is great, a shout-out to Joseph at front desk...Great southern manners exuded by staff
Great setting in excellent location ! Wonderful staff
A little noisy, ask for rooms away from the elevator and the Ice machines! ( maybe they could close these in !)
Marshall House is centrally located between River Street and the historic district of Savannah, and has great shopping opportunities. We loved the history of the building. Staff was excellent.
The room was rather small (but it was the last available room, which is what you get when you have a great hotel).
A very friendly & proactive staff from valet to morning breakfast. Always greeting you & asking how they could help. Also knowledgeable about the area. The Bartender was a hoot! What a nice guy. Because of him we had our dinner at the bar instead of the dining room. Wine & cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch.
Overrated & overpriced. Room too small for the price. Room safe in an inconvenient location. It was nice enough but not 'all that'. Bar should have been open from noon.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Historic building.
The bar is opened limited times. We couldn't eat dinner in the restaurant. A wedding every night of our stay.
location staff happy hour
Great location. Lots of Old South charm. Very interesting rooms. Nice breakfast in unique breakfast room.
View out of the window.
By far, my favorite aspect of this property was the staff. Jasmine from the front desk is extremely knowledgeable about the area, and outlined on the map where to go, and some of her favorite places to dine, drink, and see in the area. Without a doubt, she did not steer us wrong. Every suggestion we found ourselves at thrilled us more than the last. Even beyond her, every staff member we encountered was friendly and recalled our faces by the very first day. Property was very clean and comfortable, food service was delicious, and rooms were quite spacious. Also, this is one of the best locations in the city. Very central to what Savannah has to offer, nothing was more than a 10 minute walk away from Marshall House's front door.
The staff was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant. Made you fell at home. Loved breakfast in the morning.
service, cleanliness , staff was excellent
Convenient location, so easy to walk to other areas. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Well lit area, safe area. Staff was so very helpful, gave us suggestions, directions. Great sense of humor, made you feel comfortable!!
Beautiful period hotel, great welcome from the staff, what a treat
We really enjoyed staying at an historic inn. :) Staff was wonderful.
I would have loved to have seen some more selections for breakfast.
The rooms were really nice with hardwood floors, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were nice and extremely helpfull.
For the price I expected a little better view that the roof over the room that breakfast was served.
Friendly, helpful staff. We were looking for something that fit the historic area and The Marshall House fit the bill. Easy walking to all the squares and sights we wanted to see. Fun run to & around Forsyth Park. There is a quaint little bar that can be entered into from the lobby. It has that old world feel to it. A nice place to end the day after all the sights have been seen.
The breakfast was very similar to what is served at the chain hotels we stayed at along our trip to Savannah. We ate out for breakfast after the first morning. It was okay because there were a couple we wanted to try anyway.
The location and the old world feel of the hotel was nice. The staff was very polite and helpful. .
There was an eaten chicken bone on the bedroom floor. Plus I found the cover to a needle.
Staff was very unwelcoming. Valet was friendly but our car was damaged in their care.
I asked for an employee to meet me out in Oglethorpe Square to take a picture of me proposing to my girlfriend. It would have taken 10 minutes max since the square is just behind the hotel. I asked the concierge for this favor just to help keep the surprise but I was told they were too busy. Very disappointed.
Staff was amazing..very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect
Our room was in a terrible location. Our view was the air conditioning units
ambience, old charm.wine and cheese and staff very friendly
not enough counter space in the bathroom for items. had to keep packing them away.
everything except the view from the room that obviously varies
poor view from the room. (no view)
The lobby area was very nice, liked the evening wine and cheese and the breakfast. Staff very friendly.
Room nice but very small, had a queen size bed, which took most of the room. Two couldn't pass around the bed at same time.
We loved Joseph, the concierge. He was a wealth of information! The hotel is full of historic charm. We rocked in our chairs on the balcony for hours.
I liked the treatment of the staff.
