The Marshall House  

The building is a recent restoration of a 19 century hotel. They have saved many details the original building and have introduced the right amount of modern touches, like upgraded bathrooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The concierge was a bonus since it was our first visit to Savannah. The hotel is very well located on one of the main streets close to dining and sights and is nearby to Savannah College of Art & Design which adds a modern touch to a lovely and friendly city.

Excellent location in city.

For the cost of my room, I expected a comfortable mattress. When I told the staff the mattress sagged and was bad for my back.I was told if I paid more money I could get a better mattress. I was given a bed spread to fold and place under the sheet to help make the mattress more firm (which I had to do myself). Also the room was rater small, and the shower stall was tiny. With tax the room cost $200.00 I feel I was way over charged for what I got.

This is a fine old hotel run in the grand tradition of comfort and service. The entire staff at the hotel was solicitious, friendly, helpful, and courteous - from parking our car to arranging a tour of the historic district. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped, and there were many special touches such as an afternoon wine and cheese social. A friendly and comfortable place to stay adjoining the historic district.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the courteous employees.

The restaurant is pricey, and we were ignored when we tried to ask about dinner reservations.

The location is perfect for those who want to be close to everything in the historic district of Savannah. Valet parking was a plus. It is a very pretty building.

A little over-priced for the size of the room and amenities. Parking in their garage is an additional $15 per day. You can hear a bit of noise from visitors in other rooms close by.

The staff was excellent, the rooms a good size, very comfortable. Value for money. Enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour. Located near sights, but far enough away for noise.

The washroom needs a freshing.

The Marshall House is a wonderful place to stay because it is very historic and compliments the historic houses that we wanted to see. It has a wonderful romantic feeling and is right in the heart of Savannah. You can walk to the riverfront, or stroll the shops.

The staff was very efficient, but didn't really give that southern hospitality feel.

Terrific, comfortable, well-located hotel. You can walk anywhere in town. Lovely room. Great, helpful staff.

I like the fact that it is historic and being taken care of. I also liked the comfortable bed with extra pillows, old photos, wide hallway, high ceilings, tasteful decor, and friendly and helpful staff.

The wireless internet signal was not strong enough in our room for an iPad and the room was small.

Beautifully furnished, extreme customer service and convenient location for the price.

I am a coffee fanatic and the coffee maker furnished in the room had a stomach-turning scaly buildup within the water reservoir. I am glad I looked before I made my morning coffee.
