The Marshall House  

This is a charming hotel, perfectly located to enjoy the historic centre of Savannah. The staff were helpful and professional. Breakfast was excellent - although described as Continental, there was also a choice of two very tasty hot quiches. Bathroom was charming with claw foot tub, and in addtion to normal amenties of soaps, etc, there were Q-tips and cotton balls. Very thoughtful. Lovely hotel - we will definitely visit here again.

The bar was closed, although I am sure that drinks were available in the lounge upon request. I am not sure if it was just the low season, or because it was a Sunday.

We have never had more polite and friendly staff. Nothing we wanted was too out of line.

The room was a little small. We could have used an extra table or shelf in the bathroom and with a king sized bed, it was hard to navigate our room.

A great combination of history and modern comfort. Everything was first class.

We had a great stay at the Marshall House. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The location was great. The valet patked our car on our arrival and we didn't need it or see it again until we checked out! We would definately stay here again.

The location of the Marshall House permitted us easy access to sightseeing on foot in the historic district. The hotel has a lovely salon in which the afternoon reception was held. It was quite agreeable to sip wine. Munch cheese and grapes in this pleasant decor. The breakfast room with its palms, plants and glass dome gives the impression of being in a shaded courtyard. Our room was graciously appointed and the king size bed quite comfortable. Cleanliness was evident throughout the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The only negative was that the room 2 days out of 3 was not done in a timely manner.

The entire experience was wonderful, I am looking forward to returning to Savannah and staying at The Marshall House agin.

The wi-fi is very weak in the rooms, but strong downstairs in the lobby. They need to fix that issue, which is the only issue with the hotel. This can be remedied however, if you take a t-1 connection for your laptop, as there is a hookup in the room, I did not have one with me though as most places now days rely exclusively on wi-fi.

The location was great as my daughter is a student at scad in Savannah. The staff was excellent. I only wish they had microwaves in the room, as I have a dietary requirement and it was inconvenient to not have a microwave. Everything else was great!

Great place for the Wedding we attends. Easy walk to everything! Very comfy bed.

Clawfoot tub made showering difficult. Pleasing to look at but not very practical. The soap and other necessities had to be kept on a shelf outside the shower curtain.

Historic building, beautifully maintained, with a great restaurant and bar. Small, dark room and a so-so continental breakfast. Location and staff made it a perfect place for first-time visitors to Savannah.

We loved the fact that it was built as a hotel and is still a hotel! Loved the high ceilings and old wooden floors. The complimentary breafast was very formally presented and the food was good. Walking distance from many activities/sights.
