Good location. Good value for money for Hawaii!!!
always the same thing at breakfast
Location right on the beach. Beautiful and well maintained grounds. Pool depth is from 2ft to 8ft so it was perfect for young children. Memory foam mattress and pillow were very comfortable. I was worried about lack of A/C but the ocean breeze and ceiling fans kept room cool. Free parking, continental breakfast, in-room wifi, beach chairs/towels/toys. Inexpensive coin laundry. No TVs in room so we played board games in the evenings with the kids - perfect for family time. Quiet and relaxing.
Other guests didn't respect quiet hours and were often noisy, but this could happen at any hotel.
Gorgeous rooms pristine beaches, use of BBQ too!
The mauian hotel has a great location and a great beach. It looked like it would be great for families. All units face a courtyard and the night we were there all the kids played soccer. This made it noisey if you wanted to relax. Our unit had full size refrigerator and kitchen which would have been great for a family. Units were dark inside ours was on first floor. The complex was small and intimate but still didn't feel too private as if you were sitting outside the sidewalk was right there and people walked by and could look into your room. They did offer a small breakfast
units on first floor were dark. Courtyard noisy into the evening. Felt like you were vacationing with other people as you sat outside first floor sidewalk right there and people walked by and looked into your room
Great location, right on the beach. Nice pool area.
The décor of the room reminded me of many of the local beach houses that I have stayed in while growing up in Hawaii. Very clean and roomy.
It was very hot in the room especially when trying to fall asleep, no air conditioning. I'm from the slopes of Haleakala so I'm used to cool nights even during the summer.
Great location. Great beach with amazing snorkeling. Beautifull hotel grounds. And friendly staff.
The Napili beach that is right in front of the hotel rooms is just beautiful. It's a very low key and relaxing beach that is excellent if you would like some quiet time. The rooms are modern and updated and are more like a studio than standard hotel rooms. We really enjoyed having a stove and fridge so we can just cook food ourselves rather than eating the standard resort food daily. The hotel is smartly designed with a patio space in front of every room. I booked a garden view room but once we stepped out of our room we could see the beach. It is so close to the beach that we could listen to the waves as we fall asleep. We also loved the landscaping and the pool in the hotel. It even has a very nicely maintained BBQ area.
The rooms were pretty warm and there was no AC available. It is ok if you keep your blinds up and have the ocean breeze comes in, but if you would like more privacy then the room gets quite warm. The rooms are very closely located and are not very private. Napili beach is a beautiful place but it is also very far away (often requires 1hr-1.5 hr drives) from most of the attractions in Maui. We enjoyed the beach but perhaps next time would try to stay closer to the airport/city area for easier transportation. However, the location would be ideal if you simply want to relax on the beach.
The beach, the garden
I didn't like carrying my beach chairs from and back to where they are stacked!
Friendly staff, good accommodation directly at the beach with partial oceanview. Accommodation is very clean and in good condition. Breakfast has room for improvement. Beach provides good shadows until noon.
A little bit overpriced.
Beautiful location with great beach. Quiet. Has old style Hawaiian atmosphere. No glitz.
Included "breakfast" was marginal. It would be nice to have coffee all day.
Beachfront and grounds were beautiful.
Bathroom and kitchenette a bit tired.
Loved the wonderful beach so close by and the free breakfast was wonderful. Stayed here one night before going to our south condo and it was perfect. Thank-you!
Beautiful location on Napili Bay. Nice small boutique type cottages w/ breakfast. Lovely grounds/landscaping.
Our reservation was "upgraded" to a ocean view studio but in fact we were put in a handicap accessible room w/ just a curtain around a drain for a shower and a foldout loveseat for my son. When we asked for our original room w/ 2 beds nothing was available. The office person said she'd put us on a waiting list but never communicated w/ us. Our lower level room was very noisy as we could hear every footstep and even cell phones buzzing above us. That said, we were very close to the beach and enjoyed the kitchen in the studio. Our room also had a broken fan and a leaky window, which a nice maintenance man fixed promptly.
We were spending our anniversary in Maui and the Mauian was the perfect place to stay. Wilma had a little note and bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room when we checked in. Our partial ocean view was amazing and the beds and pillows were so comfortable, perfect for relaxing! The snorkeling was great... we saw two turtles our first day! We did not miss a TV at all. It was nice and quiet without the noise.
When Spring Break began, we realized how thin the walls were... we could hear lots of kids all around us. Fortunately, they didn't stay up too late or get up too early. :)
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. A beautiful beach was steps away from our room. The room was comfortable, clean and recently updated.
Although the hotel has been renovated, there lacks soundproofing between the rooms. There is a nice kitchen area in the studio but daily housekeeping does not include washing dishes and no dishwasher is provided,
Amazing little suites that are really comfy and designed like a little tiki hideaway! Beautiful grounds and loved being on the beach
Nice little beachresort with beautyful beach. Thanks to Thanksgiving, this weekend caused us an upgrade to the owners residence!
Nothing to complain.
This was our second stay at the Mauian. The temper-pedic beds are wonderful for those times you aren't at the beach. We loved the upstairs lanai that allowed us to see Napili Bay and have a bit more privacy than the ground-floor units. The complimentary breakfasts with fresh papaya, pineapple and other fruits are great, plus the cinnamon bread, bagels, rolls and juices.
The price is a bit higher than I'd like, but Maui seems to be a bit more expensive than the Big Island for comparable accommodations.
The whole place - the beachfront location, our room and the low key atmosphere and easy pace of the hotel.
The length of our stay - it wasn't long enough.
Very well kept. Modernized rooms. Comfortable sleeping situation.
No air conditioning Expensive per night Breakfast and breakfast staff Sand in the bottom of pool
Very helpful staff - great location - you need a car if you are staying here but it is great to be away from all of the hustle and bustle. The beach is on the doorstep. We would certainly stay there again.
would have liked a soft drinks machine on the premises - but that is nit-picky!
The hotel and staff were very nice
Having to trade in beach towels in order to get new ones
the location on napili bay was wonderful. the decor in the rooms was updated, comfortable and modern.
the lack of air conditioning made privacy slightly difficult as keeping the windows and blinds open was necessary for air flow and cooling.
