noisy and underwhelming accomdation

Staff was very helpful. Room was great, clean and comfortable. Location was fantastic, great restaurants, parks and walking.

The staff was extra hospitable as i have experience in 5 start hotels such as Ritz Carlton etc

friendly and helpful personnel, good service, clean rooms (quite big for NY standards)

Breakfast was grab&go of coffee and danish rolls. Fruit and cereals would have been welcome addition for healthy alternative, but anyway: quality of coffee was very good

Staff, cleanliness of room

Rm on second floor: way too much traffic noise through window. Room too bright from street lights (need drapes or some cover). A.M. coffee too weak and cleared off by 9:10am--too soon.

clean, decent looking, pleasant, one block from subway, upgrades if you stay a second time....I came back!

Very small rooms and with a few larger ones. As usual in NYC, expensive for what you get.

Staff was great

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Could not be faulted. The room was a good size, especially for New York where rooms are often tiny and it was very clean.

It was slightly noisy, but you expect that in the middle of midtown New York City.

Helpful staff; stylish decor; comfortable room; tasty (but simple) breakfast and a convenient location.

It could do with a communal area in which to eat breakfast; read the newspaper and check emails. Breakfast could be served a little later - 7 til 9 is not conducive to a holiday lie in. A restroom would also be a good addition - we arrived a few hours before we could check in and could have done using the facilities!

Excelent location and extremely caring staff. The room was very small, but fulfilled all our needs and was consistent with the special offer rate we paid for (full price may have been too expensive for this room). Coffee was great, though the breakfast was not very appealling.

I missed curtain in the shower to avoid the water to spread on the bathroom's floor and missed more hanger for the towels. A fridge would be very usefull. The grab and go breakfast could be better. Those who would not arrive early for breakfast, would not find anything left to eat.

Excellent room - very comfortable bed though my wife suggests you need to consider obtaining matress covers for the beds to ensure longevity for these great beds. Great help and advice from all the staff we met especially the reccomended restaurants and cafes list. Evertything in the room we needed was provided with adequate clothes storage.We enjoyed the free light breakfast option to go with our free daily paper.

A little bit of noise which did not spoil our holiday - though the refuse collection van at approx 5am each morning attending to the building opposite our room. So possibly consider sound proofing bedroom windows - easier said than done I would imagine!

The staff were superb, really helpful and professional. The room was small but really comfortable (great bed!) we were in a deluxe king room so one of the bigger ones, and the location is great. Lots of attractive/practical touches, flat screen TV, great shower, ipod dock etc. The rate we got was a special offer, full price may have made this hotel less appealing.

I'm sure the MAve was newly opened when we stayed so these points will no doubt be rectified in the future but a fridge in the room would be a real boon (there is an empty cupboard ready for one) and the lifts and landings could do with the same makeover as the rest of the building. The inclusive breakfast (a pick up in the lobby) could be better, the coffee wasn't great but then Madison Avenue is through the door with endless breakfast opportunities.
