Comfy bed. Friendly and good cleaning lady.
Freezing room, the only heating from aircon unit mounted in the window, which was loud and drafty (Another visitor complained about this while I was in reception and it was just met with a shrug). The pictures are deceiving, my room was soulless and the decor was very tired, which was the same around the hotel. You got the feeling that management just didn't care about the place. No mini bar, just a disconnected fridge in a cupboard.
-no breakfast left (single muffin anyways) AND cold water for tea 3 out of 4 days and nowhere to sit for breakfast either (there are 2 chairs to sit for a whole hotel, so nothing for people who like to enjoy breakfast) -wifi is 10 USD per day -loud heating -no ventilation in bathroom
As a solo traveler I felt safe. The room is nice, big, comfortable. The breakfast includes coffee and a muffin that you can take out. The staff is nice and helpful.
The staff were courteous and moved us to a bigger room at no extra charge when we complained. The bigger room was a comfortable size, relatively stylish and had a coffee machine, safe, and a good size TV.
On arrival we found ourselves in the tiniest hotel room I've ever seen (no exaggeration). It was barely bigger than the double bed itself. The room had no facilities other than a phone and a very small TV. The bathroom door didn't close. The cost of this room was over $200 a night. Breakfast was just filter coffee and muffins.
the decorating some has an eye for details it's modern
difficult to find. staff very dismissive
Very good location in Manhattan.
The breakfast is practically non existent. The staff is not very caring. I was offered a choice between a dirty looking room without direct sunlight and a tiny room with less features than what was mentioned in the booking.
Location is ideal - easy to everywhere bathroom was nice - almost as big as my room. Bed was very comfortable
Tiny room room heat/air was inconsistent- needed to crank the heat into the 80's and then it would kick off and blow cold air - challenging. Water temps turn cold after 10am- makes for a quick - hint: shower early. Tiny elevators & hallways- taste of europe. No windows / no natural light in rooms
The location. Close to subways and food.
Breakfast was awful. Small. Understaffed.
The room makes you really feel at home. Big enough and really stylish.
The in-window airco reminds you that the city never sleeps ;-)
Location is pretty good. Wifi slow but better than nothing (evaluation based on free access).
We were assigned room on 2nd floor, with window facing Madison Ave. Very noisy - you hear cars racing, sirens blaring and people shouting in the street all night long. Don't expect too much of the "included" breakfast ...
&Quot;Free breakfast" is misleading, really just muffins and coffee.
After reading reviews, I was concerned about the helpfulness of the staff but I found them to be helpful and friendly. I really liked the location of the hotel, the R train was very convenient and I found numerous great restaurant options nearby. The bed was very comfortable and the room and public areas were very clean. For the size of the room, I thought the bathroom was great. LOVED Birch Coffee right next door! Overall, it was a good last minute choice for a weekend in NYC!
Although I found the bed to be very comfortable, I didn't particularly like that there was a window air conditioner/heater that was right by my head running constantly. I do think it masked the street noise but it was still somewhat annoying. Just a few minor tweaks would make this property much better. For instance, the wood on the floor was badly scuffed up in spots and there were some scuffs on the room walls.
Comfortable bed and a good location, within 5 mins of the nearest subway.
Breakfast is advertised as included in the room rate which is true but don't expect much here. Its simply a croissant or muffin with a self serve coffee pot and this had all run out by 9am. So if you don't tend to eat much for breakfast and you're an early riser then you'll be fine. You can get a good breakfast across the road but of course you need to pay for it. The rooms are all very small but the beds are comfortable.
Big and comfort bed Nice bathroom Helpful stuff Good location Очень хорошее расположение, близко несколько вкусных кафе, станция метро, 5 авеню Номер сравнительно большой, все свежее, чистое, новое. Хороший санузел, туалетные принадлежности.
really noisy and chilly in room Terrible breakfast - only tea or coffee with muffin, without place for eat Очень шумно, полное ощущение что окна нет вообще Для завтрака ( только кофе/чай с маффином) отведен маленький столик и два кресла. Люди сидят на парапете возле ресепшен.
Location. If you are looking to stay in a place well located, then The Mave is perfect. The beds are comfy
Small rooms, very little amenities, could be more clean, one day inside the sheets was a napkin!, the carpet looks bit dirty. the staff is not so friendly, one guy kind of sloppy at the time to make us a reservation for a shuttle to pick us to the airport. And there is no lobby or place to hang out.
I like the location and very confortable bed. Good strander of cleanliness.
The way they present breakfast, would have been nice to be able to seat properly in a area with table and chair and not being standing in the corredor of the lobby.
It was pretty cheap
Their photographa was a bit too talented. My view out 3ft to a dark brick wall was the best I've seen
The main adventage of this hotel is its location. Literally, it is within walking distance to subway and lots of attractions such as Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, 5th Avenue. Our room was equipped with television, iron, ironing board, wi-fi (in our case free of charge as we stayed for almost two weeks).
Firstly, personel looked as though ther were at job for kind of punishment (all the time on the Internet behind the desk), without pro-active approach towards Customers. Secondly, there is no breakfast at all, rather from 3 to 4 kinds of cake plus tea and coffee. Starting from second day on we ate breakfast in another places (additional cost you shoold take into consideration). Housekeeping was a joke - with poor quality and done only for tips.
It's in a great area in the city near Union Square
The rooms are small and without atmosphere. The hallways don't make you feel at home
For too people it was a little tight, but then again it was just for sleeping and showering. The shower didn't have a door so water went all of the floor of the bathroom and the bathroom mat wasn't very big.
You can not beat the location. You are in the center of everything. A lot of cafes, restaurants around, metro is very close. So this is cool. The price was also great.
Size of a room is a joke. It was barely 8 sq.meters (80 sqft). Breakfast is another joke. It's a coffe and something else served in a corridor. People eat breakfast, seating on the stairs by the lift. Terrible. It's better not to offer such breakfast. Paid WiFi.
My stay was wonderful. Clean and friendly. Near subway. No frills but just what i needed. I will return. Good value for the price. I give the hotel three stars.
Breakfast is nothing unless you get up at 7am. When it rains you hear a thump on the window ac outside.
Great location friendly staff
It was quite a small room but that's to be expected for the price in midtown Manhattan. The lifts were SO slow but it's easy enough to use the stairs.
