The innkeeper had pets, cat and dog, that we didn't know about when booking.
Our host was very helpful and knowledgable about the city. On suite BR very important. Breakfast was wonderful !
Snoring from other rooms could be heard through the walls
Nancy was very welcoming-the breakfast was delicious, and I truly felt like I was at home. The area around the inn is beautiful in the fall-an easy walk to the main street of Coeur d'Alene, and very quiet.
Our hostess was flexible about making us breakfast to go to accommodate out early departure.
Very comfortable. The food and drink were excellent and plentiful.
This inn has the perfect blend of privacy and a homey feel. It was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. And very clean. Also, the breakfasts were gourmet! So much nicer by far than any restaurant buffet. I cannot wait to go back!
Breakfast options Neighborhood Walking distance to downtown
We liked the layout of the inn. Comfortable sitting room off the main eating area. Nancy's breakfasts were delish. Fridge to keep personal items. And Charlie was a charmer. If come again would definitely consider staying again.
The McFarland Inn was located very close to downtown shopping, restaurants and the marina/park. In fact we never started the car until we left. Cozy room, lots of area seating downstairs, and a wine 'n cheese social at 6:00 all combined to make for a memorable stay. Nancy even had cruiser and 21 speed bikes available for our use, which we took advantage of for an afternoon tour along the lake shore. Breakfast was a real treat; more food than we could manage, and coffee that had me back for thirds.
The bathroom for our room (The Kootenay) was located across the hall. It was reserved exclusively for our use, but tip-toeing across the hall at 2:00 AM was a bit of a trial. Perhaps this won't be a concern for those not needing to use during the night, but something to consider when you're of an age when you do.
Just about everything...especially the breakfast and amazing Cravens McFarland Inn blend coffee...free bike rental was great too!
The central air just wasn't cool enough for the hot August night and we had difficulty sleeping even though a couple of fans were on as well...that was the only downside to this B&B:(
This bed and breakfast had lots to offer from a great breakfast to free bikes. The house is extremely clean and rooms are spacious and nicely decorated.
No AC at night when it was still in the 80s.
Location was excellent for walking to downtown to local restaurants and attractions and to the waterfront park. House and room were clean and charming. Enjoyable conversation over breakfast.
Beautiful house Perfect location to downtown Fantastic breakfast
Charming, beautifully decorated B&B, quiet, comfortable and located within a few blocks of the main street of Coeur d'Alene. Delicious, home-made baked goods for breakfast, and wine available in the evenings.
Great food! Beautiful older home with warm atmosphere. Location great for downtown & lake access. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary & enjoyed ourselves enormously.
Nighttime traffic noise more than we thought it would be.
Great overall experience! It was exactly what we expected and more!
Nancy was a wonderful hostess and took time to tell us about the local area including restaurants. Having the bicycles available made a great way to see the area as well.
