the location is excellent. The lobby is classy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is spacious. I liked the convenience of having a small fridge in the rroom. A separate charge for the Internet.

Location Neither the hairdryer or coffeemaker worked. I didn't even get a "sorry" from the management which seemed completely indifferent. The hotel is pretty beaten up with paint missing, dings in the walls and an overall feeling of not being clean. They also nail you with parking at $34/day which is robbery. I will not return.

I had stayed at The Melrose on two previous business trips way back in 2006 and 2008. I chose the hotel as I am familiar with the area and the convenience to places that I like to visit (World Bank etc). The staff are very friendly and helpful - which my family and I appreciated very much. The room was comfortable and clean.

Staff was excellent. Location also fantastic. Walking distance to shopping and dining in Georgetown and inexpensive taxi ride or walk to all tourist attractions in Washington Bathrooms, while okay, need updating.

For the location, the Melrose is a solid hotel at a great price. Is it dated? Absolutely. It could do w/ an overhaul...but, given that it is significantly less per night than the Westin, Fairmont, etc. that are just a few blocks away, one can't beat the price is you are cost conscious. The rooms are spacious, though, the walls are paper thin. I heard the couple in the room next door talking - and also heard both of their wake up calls quite clearly. Overall, though, given the price and location, I would definitely say it is worth a look.

location and near the subway. The Circulator bus to various areas in the city including Union station costs only a dollar and stops a few yards from the hotel.

so close to Georgetown, DC museums, Metro I personally just like to park my car in a hotel parking lot so that access is easier. I know that we had no choice though here in the city.

Convenient location, good breakfast. Probably a little outdated, although that's not really a big issue. Also a bit surprised they charged for WiFi. Should be free given price.

Close to the metro. Consistently good service and quality of stay. Stayed here in 09 for a week in the 1 bedroom suite, it was awesome. Came back for mlk day with friends. Same great quality. Great price for the night! Idk, slow drain of the tub and no breakfast. Parking is high but because we came during a holiday weekend we parked free on the street! Love the hotel though.

A fine hotel in an excellent location between downtown DC and Georgetown. Elegant, spacious, quiet rooms with every facility most travellers will need. Friendly, courteous and professional staff. A few steps from Metro and bus connections. Thoroughly recommended. A minor gripe - the room wasn't serviced on one day out of seven. Resolved when reported to front desk.

The staff were great the porter larry was so nice to use make you feel very wecome the hotel is a litle bit tired .....with some tlc it would be great we both had a goodtime their and it so near everything like the white house

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was wonderfully warm and inviting. The services available were well thought out The price of room service was quite high and we were overcharged. The restaurant prices were also quite high for the small amount of food received.

“Hotellet har en rolig, men alligevel central beliggenhed. I løbet af få minutter er man i Georgetown med gode spise-og shoppingmuligheder.Som et meget stort plus skal nævnes den meget gode restaurant på hotellet. Glimrende mad, gode vine og ikke mindst en meget sympatisk og hjælpsom tjenerstab. Morgenmaden skal man ikke tage på restauranten, idet det ikke er noget særligt.
