In a word, the rooms on the 5th floor, opposite the elevators, were impossibly loud the entire night. For $400 a night, this is inacceptable. If you know how thin the doors are! Anyone entering the hotel as of 11pm might be kindly asked to respect those who are already sleeping. Even the old-lady rowers screamed as if they owned the place. And the elevator bells rang through the entire room, even for those who were quiet. We did not sleep for two nights and are thoroughly exhausted. For $800 in a city that is relatively quiet on the weekend, bad marks.

Very clean, comfortable. Great staff, very courteous and helpful. Lobby was being renovated but that didn't pose any problems. Excellent location for Metro, Circulator, Georgetown, tour bus route, and Whole Foods (next to Foggy Bottom Metro)

Bathroom needs a little updating.

Location is perfect - close to Georgetown and downtown. Paid wireless is something old fashioned. Tv menu was time taking to watch. Breakfast is delicious. Staff friendly. Bed are comfortable. Will stay again

The freindliness of thy staff. The decor and size of the room. Just a very good experience.

Spacious clean room, great bedding, plenty of thick towels, timely service, warm design, outstanding location close to Georgetown & Dupont. And the attendants both inside & outside were very helpful and friendly.

Nothing I did not like, but would like to suggest that the hotel could benefit from having a gourmet coffee shop with pastries, good espresso, cheeses & sandwiches for the guests and outsiders. As an example, upscale Marriott Grosvenor House in Mayfair, London, has one and it works great.

The hotel is older and can only have air or heat....the weather was warm and my room was very hot. It took 3 calls to the front desk before someone explained to me the issue. Fortunately there was a small window....unfortunately, I have very bad allergies and it made for a terrible night/next day. For $300, one should be able to be comfortable

Just nice & easy & clean

It was a great experience. A perfect place or the price. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, an it was a wonderful overall experience. I will definitely stay again.

The location was great, friendly staff, efficiently run. Great place to stay.

Expensive restaurant and limited electrical outlets in the room.

It took 20 minutes to get my car from valet. Because they couldn't find him because he was sitting in his friends car out by the curve talking

The staff were great the porter larry was so nice to use make you feel very wecome the hotel is a litle bit tired .....with some tlc it would be great we both had a goodtime their and it so near everything like the white house

We stayed in a Suite at melrose Hotel It was excellent Staff friendly & efficient Hotel has excellent character; true to a Washington trip enjoyed it
