Very well appointed, very quiet, unique layout and no elevator delays. Location is fantastic. My wife loved it, and she's picky.
A/C was a little loud when it came on, however the temperature control and ventilation overall were top notch. This shouldn't deter you from staying here.
Location, location, location. Right near Times Square, Theatre district and short walk to Central Park. Close to the pick up point for hop on, hop off buses to access all of Manhattan. Room was well furnished with a 5 star bed.
My wife and myself were at the conclusion of a 2month holiday staying at various 4 and 5 star hotels throughout Britain and Europe. I found the reception not up to the standard expected of a 4 star hotel. Our room was close to the lifts and the lift bells were loud enough to inconveniently travel through the walls. The bathroom in the neighbouring room caused considerable noise in our room. Whenever the toilet flushed or someone showered, there was noticeable noise in our room.
Hotel location was excellent The room was fabulous The bed was very comfortable
Air con/Heater in the room would not go off so either too hot or too cold and noisy all night hence little sleep. Did report this to reception however no change.
The manager Marco was a particular delight and help.
That we were able to stay longer.
My friend and I stayed there while running the Marathon and it was perfect from location to amenities . We were upgraded to a beautiful corner room that had extremely comfortable beds and a big deep soaker tub that was essential for after our race. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. This was by far the best hotel experience I've had in NYC.
Spacious rooms, especially for New York Location, walkable to many of the main attractions Cleanliness
Room faced onto a brick wall so was dark at all times. Air conditioning very noisy at night. Drinks were extortionately expensive.
Very spacious rooms, quiet and very comfortable. Excellent location.
I felt as if I was bothering them. Well, New Yorkers are not friendly but I was thinking that a 4 star hotel staff would be different. Nobody asked you anything, it didn't bother me cause I like being left alone, but still, not even a good morning or hello and NOT EVEN - HOW WAS YOUR STAY? For over 300 dollars a night they could give you free WiFi in the rooms. Everyone was in the lobby connected, felt like a internet cafe. The 'complimentary' breakfast is worth 5 dollars, coffee and some mini pastries - and there's no hot chocolate in the hotel, not even at the bar. When I asked for one the answer was NO. Not - sorry but we don't do hot chocolate or we don't have, just plain NO. They sure need some training in that department.
The staff was outstanding! From the courteous check-in to the efficient and friendly housekeeping staff, I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was a welcome sanctuary from the bustling world surrounding it and was a welcome retreat at the end of the day.
The room was fantastic and very big, especially for New York! The hotel is located near the centre of the hustle and bustle of Times Sqaure which is convenient for bars and restaurants although when you get into the hotel there is a relaxed and quiet atmosphere.
Personal was very friendly very quite rooms good Little breakfast Great location
The toilet was not work 1 day
Close to MoMA Big room, comfortable bed Friendly staff Very clean Classic NY Art Deco style Delicious Chocolate with turndown service
Hectic part of the city Lobby could use an update
Bed and bathroom
The doormen, the bed was very comfortable but because of the lack of tea before breakfast and the boring breakfast I will not be staying here again.
No tea making facilities and no possibility of a hot drink before 7am unless you used room service. When asked why at front desk I was told ITS POLICY! Not helpful. No eggs or toast at breakfast.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. Everything was good and it was quiet!
Quiet, comfortable and very friendly staff
The check-in was efficient and friendly and also included an upgrade! The room was large, the beds were comfortable and the bath tub was huge. The separate dressing room was very useful too. Free coffee and danish every morning was delicious.
Unlike some other hotels, free bottled water was not provided. This was the only complaint in an othwise thoroughly enjoyable stay.
We arrived early, expecting to check our bags until the afternoon, but were pleased to be given an available room immediately. The front desk staff were consistently helpful and friendly. The tastefully decorated room was spacious and even had two comfortable chairs (many hotels only have one which makes it difficult for two people to relax and chat.) The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower/tub was also a good size. Close enough to everything but far enough away for a quite night's sleep.
There were some minor carpet stains and a small amount of mildew around the bathroom sink -- nothing horrible, just needed a wee bit of attention.
Was all fantastic no complaints what so ever
Very nice hotel in the center of NYC. Perfect location, Time square just behind it, 10 minutes walking from Central Park and two blocks away from the 5th avenue.
Location was excellent with lots of food options around and close to our tour departures. Loved the boutique and classy qualities of the hotel and staff were very helpful. Large rooms and staff moved us quickly when we had an issue with air on.
Aircon noise is a bit loud
When the front desk learned it was my wife's big birthday weekend they immediately upgraded us to a junior suite - that was very nice - thank you
Very unfriendly service in the dining room by our waitress for breakfast but would still come back because all the other staff were very friendly
Nice continental breakfast in the basement. Comfortable large room with nice bedding.
No view from room. Looked into another building.
Staff and room nice. View horrible, room dark with poor lighting especially since the window was blocked by outside vents and air conditioning ducts.
Excellent staff- helpful and efficient. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The hotel is a superb choice in the midtown area
Excellent hotel and staff. Perfect location for our stay.
