Bed was comfortable
Placed us on 3rd floor. Told her the wife was large and old and would not get in elevator. Wife climbed 3 floors. Place was empty. She could have put us on 1st floor. 2) Pool was so dirty. 3) Very run down 4) No lights around pool 5) Scary guests. 5) WiFi did not work. Free but 0 strength 6) No security
The staff was excellent, location was great ($9) to Bourbon st., the room was clean, nothing fancy but definitely a great deal. We'd stay here again.
The staff was very friendly and did make attempts to fix the issues we were having with the rooms.
Had to move rooms 3 times due to poor AC circulation. It was a toss up as to whether or not you got a fridge/microwave in each room. Shower provided very low water pressure and not much hot water.
good position with free wifi and reception open 24h
dirty dirty dirty! the restroom almost broken and the shower curtain was horrific, we got dirty towels also ... the courtyard was quite creepy
No phone in room not enough towels
The only positive thing about this motel is that it is located a block away from a bus stop that will take you right to the French Quarter or other local attractions. Don't ask the front desk about it though because they will just say "I don't know, You can get on a bus and ask them where they stop."
There was no bathroom door to the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush. There were large roaches all over the walkways. There was no trash can or telephone anywhere in the room. The TV made a loud static sound on every chanel and there was no remote control. The room had a strong smell of mildew. Our sheets and bathroom were not clean. We found hair everywhere. The floor was covered with lent, clipped nails and we found MNM candy scattered all over the room. We asked for housekeeping to change the sheets and they simply wiped off the hair from the bed but did not change the sheets so we went to the front and asked if we could have sheets and we would change them ourselves. We waited 10 minutes and they came back with queen sheets that did not fit our king bed. We gave up on sheets and just made do with what we had. At 10pm the first night we were woken up by someone trying to get into our room and found that it was another guest who had been given a key from the front desk as they were just checked in and assigned the same room as us. They went back down to the front and we went back to sleep. At 11pm we were woken again by an employee of the hotel asking me who I was (the same one who checked me in and that I had asked for clean sheets from earlier) she then explained that we had never been checked into the room (even though we had keys with room number 203 handwritten on them). The next day we had a Privacy sign hanging on our door so housekeeping knocked and woke us for the third time since we'd been there. This time to ask if we wanted housekeeping. Since she was already there I asked for a trash bag (no trash can or bag in the entire room) and for clean king size sheets. She said she would return with them but never did. This was by far the most dissapointing stay I have ever had a hotel/motel in my entire life and I don't believe that they should be selling these rooms without strong warnings.
This motel needs to be taken off of the list until the construction is totally completed.
The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on transportation and areas of interest. I liked the balcony outside the room.
The lienen on the beds had stains, the comforter had stains and tears. The shower curtain was nasty. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room and the ice machine was not working. The staff could only give us a small amount of ice.
The staff did what they could. Not much to work with considering all the gross and disgusting things related to this place. Midtown Motel was horrible!
No phone, no hot water, bed bugs, seedy neighborhood, toilet paper rations, wet towels instead of dry, parking lot not well lit, gross pool, nasty grounds, near known prostitution, no chairs, no blow dryer, no ironing board, no thermostat control, website was full of lies!
Everything is terrible
The staff was very helpful and polite
they are in the process are remoldling and you have to go to the front desk for ice no microwave no alarm clock no frigerator
Bed bugs Cockroaches General lack of cleanliness Air con not working No working ice machines Rudeness/indifference of staff towards guests many complaints. Whilst I appreciate it is under new ownership they need to close it until it is at least up to a basic standard of hygiene.
New hotel management and staff going all out to impress. Great city/hotel/stay.
The only thing good about this hotel was that the man at the front desk was nice.
There's a list of all I didn't like , the parking behind the hotel was dark and scary, the hotel smelled bad, the door to our room didn't close properly, it had no working lock, the bathroom door had holes in it, the sink was held up by a piece of wood, no blankets on the beds, hair and spots all over the sheets, and a trail from the elevator down the hall way that was scary because to us it looked like blood. We went to our room and left right away! I don't see why anyone would want to stay at this place. This was a horrible and frightening experience for us.
not the front desk lady
the front desk ladyand the triples rate they tried to charge me for one night
Much better than the online reviews led me to believe, staff were cheerful and very helpful.
4th floor hallway smelled strange, building could use some repairs, would be nice if they could open the restaurant and repair the fountain near the pool.
Location is great, people say its walking distance all lies, staff good and they cleaning crew kept it clean.
When I got to the hotel it look okay nothing to run home to talk about. I got checked in I got the keys to the room, and the first thing I do is check the bed for bugs. Yes there they were little bugs crawling BED BUGS. I went down for a refund NO REFUNDS. Who have money to lose, the manager gave me an upgrade to the 4th floor and the rooms were better. ME PERSONALLY I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!!!! They say under New Manager, he's not doing anything to the place and if you know you have BED BUGS get rid of them
Location. Staff. Bus nearby.
Hotel under rénovation.
Probably the kindness of the boy at the reception desk
Location and room
Close to family and the city
Did not get the room I booked and could not check in until 3pm.
Although not in the best neighborhood the reasonable price and closeness to the French Quarter made it tolerable. You only sleep there and the 3rd room was clean and comfortable.
When we arrived the first room we went to was HORRIBLE - there was a hole in the ceiling, the bed was not made and there was a pile of human excrement on the floor. The second room had not been cleaned and there was an unmade bed and dirty towels strewn all over the place. The clerk finally went and inspected a room to make sure it was ready. The staff needs to keep closer tabs on the cleaning people because the first two rooms had been marked off his list as cleaned.
Value for money Fairly convenient location while being outside of city center Helpful staff
No outside window No iron No refrigerator No hair dryer
The bed was comfortable.
The room was terrible! There was a roach inside the mini fridge and a few in the room. The window did not have a lock on it. There was no way to control the A/C and it was hot in the room. I paid double the rate to rent the room and then a week before my trip the room rates were down to $90 and they would not give me the lower rate. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again!!
There was no wifi in our room despite the staff saying a few times it would work, had to go to lobby every time to use it which was very inconvenient. They could have just been honest & said where our room was did not recognise wifi rather than making out it was working each time
The price was significantly lower than the downtown hotels. The location was relatively convenient with an infrequent but short bus ride to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in an isolated area. If I was by myself, I would not have been comfortable walking and taking the bus in the neighborhood. There was no phone in the room, so if we needed something, we had to go down to the desk. The wi-fi did not work in our room. The TV remote did not work. We had to ask for hangers and soap. There was no mattress pad on one of the beds.
