Some staff members were helpful - others not.
There are no telephones in the rooms and the Wifi worked only in the lobby. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The staff were polite and willing to help.
Terrible location for the cost. The room didn't have heat and was freezing. Our thermometer measured the temp at about 60 degrees at night. The rooms need an upgrade of facilities, paint, carpet, etc. The lobby was very nice but the rooms were trashy and gross. They limit your towels to one towel a person, and they charge you not by the room, but by the person. Even though we had two double beds we had to pay per person, not per night. It ended up being more expensive that way.
I liked that is is near public transportation. Had free parking. This hotel is old and in need of updating but clean and fairly priced. Locally owned and not a chain.
No complaints. It's what I expected it to be.
The staff were great in a very restrictive environment with limited resources. The unique staff was by far the bright spot in our stay. Loved the guy who cooked us crawfish rolls, chauffeured and made a liquor run for me. He made watching the big game on a bad TV in a smoky room, not so bad.
No phone, smoke alarm, clock, chain lock, curtain (only tiny aluminum blind that didn't function properly), TV remote, functioning vending machine, ice machine OR restaurant. Hot tub broken and moldy. Torn plastic shower curtain. Sprinkler system hanging down out of the ceiling about 6". Elevator last inspected 4 years ago.
Didn't feel safe.
Little to nothing was "likeable" but some things were "acceptable"
There was no toilet paper, the room we paid for wasn't available. Instead we were given un "upgrade" to an unclean room with two small "executive" beds for my boyfriend and I to sleep on (very romantic). When I asked why my room wasn't avaliable I was treated like a nuisance. The printer nor the credit card machine worked.
Price and employees
No remote for TV and no coffee in room
Staff was nice!
The power kept going off in our room. The bathtub wouldn't drain so only one of us could take a shower. The lighting was very dim and our remote to the t.v didn't work. Just not a very pleasant stay overall.
The hotel was a bit further from Bourbon Street than I had planned, but the streetcar was a short walk. The staff was excellent and the concierge named Tahiti, was so friendly and helpful. I liked that it's was a locally run hotel with a personal touch. The rooms were clean and secure.
The free wi-fi was spotty at times.
Cockroaches No lighting Yellow beds Unhelpful staff

Staff rude Bad Location Room Filthy
The room was disgusting, the ceiling dripped, the bathroom was soooo gross and the toilet only flushed every few hours unless you manually filled the tank. There was no soap, or towels, and there were hairs in the tub. The sheets were dirty and the mattress, ceiling, floors, walls had mold/mildew growing everywhere. The ceiling dripped onto the floor causing the carpet to be wet and my socks were black after accidently stepping onto the wet carpet. The front desk lady said she would call a taxi for us but never did so we missed our tour of french quarters that we couldn't get refunded- my fault for trusting she'd call after she said she would. Some kind of banquet was being held for a "friend who got shot" so there were thugs crowding the driveway and lobby all night, threatening as we tried to park the car. The older couple that checked in minutes after we did left shortly after check in and they said they're room was just as bad-if not worse than our room. Awful. Don't stay here. It's not worth even the best deal you receive on this hotel.
Organic shampoo and soap, not the usual cheap stuff plus fresh towels and clean up every day. The stuff was very helpful. It is easy to get around with public transport if you stay here. A bus stop is in front of the motel. The house itself is a nice building. We recommend this place for internationals without cars travelling on a budget.
No breakfast, just provide some Muffins with the complementary coffee - this would make a big difference. It is a shame that nobody renovated the place yet but the new management wants to take care of it. If they do it'll be perfect.
Showing its age, but new management is redoing rooms
The front desk lady was rude
Everything Roaches Hair in tub Bad smell Rude employees Unsafe surroundings No amenties Employees not properly dressed Very nasty Dirty stained linen on bed, towel had hair on them Tv not working
Bed not made, floors not vacuumed, poor hot water, staff not attentive
The lady was nice at checkout.
Convenience of getting to downtown using the trolley. Welcoming staff.
The heater barely worked. The curtain in the shower was dirty. Not enough sheets to keep us warm.
