It is close to downtown.
The hotel is obviously old and very little money seems to be spent to fix or update it. The ice machine was broke and had a sign saying to get ice from the front desk. My husband went down in shorts and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude to him. It is close to downtown.
The price was super cheap. But you get what you pay for. When I checked out, the lady at the counter was nice.
They did not come in to clean the rooms once while we were there. The place is dirty. You have to beg for towels. The bathroom was disgusting. There was mold on the walls. The sheets were dirty. There was makeup on the pillow cases. We asked for replacements. They brought us one pillow case. They said they had to charge us for our full stay once we saw the place and wanted to switch hotels. It was like being held hostage because we didn't want to pay for two rooms. so we just pretended we were camping because the accommodations were much like a campsite. This place was like the setting for the movie Hostel. And the neighborhood felt very unsafe. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
This was not asit appeared. "Redone" rooms smelled terribly as the carpet had not been replaced or even cleaned. Didn't even stay one night but they had no refund or early checkout penalty.
The hotel room had poor lighting. There was no phone in the room. One towel for two people to share. When we asked for more towels at the front the receptionist stated we would have to track down housekeeping for more towels ourselves. No comforter on the bed. We even had to call for our own cab service. Won't be staying here again.
Room size, air con
Windows rattling all night, dirty bed sheets, rude and unhelpful staff, location only good if you have a car
rooms one had window seal falling out no phone no fire alarm broken chain on door broken bed dirty tub window would not lock had two rooms pool was very cloudy no bathroom in lobby.change machine broken machines would not take money.
Nothing bed bugs in had to go to the hospital and the manager claim they haven't had any in 8 months, very nasty
Everything nasty location I'm calling the board of health
It was very cost effective to stay here and take cabs to get around.
The pool was totally unusable, there were no trash cans in the room, the area was not safe, the bathroom was rusted out, the room was not cleaned, and the woman at the desk could not figure out how to check me in.
One of the receptionist were very nice
Our air-conditioning didn't work The water pressure in the shower sucked in the water to get hot and didn't have the stupid rule after 9 o'clock you can't have any gas and if you do you have to pay $10 per person that's just crazy
Nothing it smelled and had roaches why would booking have a hotel like this on there website. The only good thing was isn't wasn't far from bourbon street.
The staff wasn't helpful. They was rude it had roaches and the smell was so strong. The room smiled like old milk the furniture was stained me and my wife was nervous on sleeping on the bed.
exellent staff exellent value for money
water and plump were not working well
Had Wi-Fi connection. Easy to locate. Close to assigned destination.
The bed sheets weren't changed daily. Small bathroom. No ironing board, microwave or refrigerator in room.
Way to Canal Street Streetcar about 5 min to walk, free parking, good connection to interstates, quite tidy, area around not quite as dangerous and threatining as some people here comment
No window in room, furniture should be renewed, wifi was not really working, pool dirty. Verdict: You get what you pay for. For road trippers that just need a place to sleep but stay in the city the whole day, I would recommend it. If you need more luxury you should stay in the city and pay twice or threetimes the price.
Cost You get what you pay for.
Took A/C around 8-hrs to cool the room down. No phone in the room
Bed was comfortable
Placed us on 3rd floor. Told her the wife was large and old and would not get in elevator. Wife climbed 3 floors. Place was empty. She could have put us on 1st floor. 2) Pool was so dirty. 3) Very run down 4) No lights around pool 5) Scary guests. 5) WiFi did not work. Free but 0 strength 6) No security
At least they have a vending machine so you can buy a few things.
We had to pay more money than the price that Booking said. Location really scary. No breakfast. Dirty swimming pool.
The staff was excellent, location was great ($9) to Bourbon st., the room was clean, nothing fancy but definitely a great deal. We'd stay here again.
The staff was very friendly and did make attempts to fix the issues we were having with the rooms.
Had to move rooms 3 times due to poor AC circulation. It was a toss up as to whether or not you got a fridge/microwave in each room. Shower provided very low water pressure and not much hot water.
good position with free wifi and reception open 24h
dirty dirty dirty! the restroom almost broken and the shower curtain was horrific, we got dirty towels also ... the courtyard was quite creepy
No phone in room not enough towels
The only positive thing about this motel is that it is located a block away from a bus stop that will take you right to the French Quarter or other local attractions. Don't ask the front desk about it though because they will just say "I don't know, You can get on a bus and ask them where they stop."
There was no bathroom door to the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush. There were large roaches all over the walkways. There was no trash can or telephone anywhere in the room. The TV made a loud static sound on every chanel and there was no remote control. The room had a strong smell of mildew. Our sheets and bathroom were not clean. We found hair everywhere. The floor was covered with lent, clipped nails and we found MNM candy scattered all over the room. We asked for housekeeping to change the sheets and they simply wiped off the hair from the bed but did not change the sheets so we went to the front and asked if we could have sheets and we would change them ourselves. We waited 10 minutes and they came back with queen sheets that did not fit our king bed. We gave up on sheets and just made do with what we had. At 10pm the first night we were woken up by someone trying to get into our room and found that it was another guest who had been given a key from the front desk as they were just checked in and assigned the same room as us. They went back down to the front and we went back to sleep. At 11pm we were woken again by an employee of the hotel asking me who I was (the same one who checked me in and that I had asked for clean sheets from earlier) she then explained that we had never been checked into the room (even though we had keys with room number 203 handwritten on them). The next day we had a Privacy sign hanging on our door so housekeeping knocked and woke us for the third time since we'd been there. This time to ask if we wanted housekeeping. Since she was already there I asked for a trash bag (no trash can or bag in the entire room) and for clean king size sheets. She said she would return with them but never did. This was by far the most dissapointing stay I have ever had a hotel/motel in my entire life and I don't believe that they should be selling these rooms without strong warnings.
This motel needs to be taken off of the list until the construction is totally completed.
The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on transportation and areas of interest. I liked the balcony outside the room.
The lienen on the beds had stains, the comforter had stains and tears. The shower curtain was nasty. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room and the ice machine was not working. The staff could only give us a small amount of ice.
The staff did what they could. Not much to work with considering all the gross and disgusting things related to this place. Midtown Motel was horrible!
No phone, no hot water, bed bugs, seedy neighborhood, toilet paper rations, wet towels instead of dry, parking lot not well lit, gross pool, nasty grounds, near known prostitution, no chairs, no blow dryer, no ironing board, no thermostat control, website was full of lies!
