The lady was nice at checkout.
Convenience of getting to downtown using the trolley. Welcoming staff.
The heater barely worked. The curtain in the shower was dirty. Not enough sheets to keep us warm.
I enjoyed my stay room was clean.
The location to Saenger theatre was perfect! The bed was super comfortable and the front desk staff was very helpful and patient with us out of town folk. I will stay here again. The price was perfect for a few nights being out most of the time.
The area was ok not too fair from the quarter. The outside has a good New Orleans feel.
No ice machine, the room did not seem that it had been clean thoroughly,
We showed up and the room they gave us was dirty. Then they gave us a key to another room, and when we got there, someones bag was in the room. The third room we got was finally okay. The bathroom was kinda disgusting as well.
It was the cheap, a bus takes you to the french quarter
Far away, Not clean, Staff not always helpful
The bed was agreeable and there was a mini-fridge
The staff was bordering on rude, the lights didn't work in the bedroom proper (only in the entrance to the room and in the bathroom), there was material to make coffee but no kettle, the swimming pool's cleanliness was more than suspicious (nobody used it for this reason), and the hotel is located in a shady part of town...
They put in us in a room that smelled like mold.. bed was broken.. sheets were dirty.. no pictures on walls.. They did offer us another room with 2beds.. but paid for a room with a king bed .. not at all like the picture posted for this Motel at all ... so found another room somewhere else.
I didn't like the service I was given on arrival. I felt my room guests were being watched the whole night in order to receive the additional $10 pp charge. The restrooms and rooms weren't clean, felt we had to sleep with our blankets and pillows. There weren't any standard blow dryer or iron in the room. Ice machine was broken on the second floor and had to get from front desk just to be given a little at a time. Our room wasn't given more towels. The overall experience was horrible. Never again. I'd rather fork over the extra money, stay closer to bourbon st than stay there again.
Beds and towels were fresh and the staff was incredibly helpful and serviceminded! Not even in five starred hotels have I had such service beyond and above the line of duty! I would definitely stay there again. A bus station was also nearby for trips further into the city.
The rooms were very basic but clean. Then again, the motel is doing a makeover right now. Nothing bad to say, really.
No phone, towels, toilet paper, soap. We had to ask for everything.
you're probably better off at a hostel...
location was perfect since i was attending voodoo fest. price was more affordable than others.
needs overall touch up
atmosphere, seems falling apart - sign at desk says renovations will be happening soon? I hope so
It is close to downtown.
The hotel is obviously old and very little money seems to be spent to fix or update it. The ice machine was broke and had a sign saying to get ice from the front desk. My husband went down in shorts and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude to him. It is close to downtown.
The price was super cheap. But you get what you pay for. When I checked out, the lady at the counter was nice.
They did not come in to clean the rooms once while we were there. The place is dirty. You have to beg for towels. The bathroom was disgusting. There was mold on the walls. The sheets were dirty. There was makeup on the pillow cases. We asked for replacements. They brought us one pillow case. They said they had to charge us for our full stay once we saw the place and wanted to switch hotels. It was like being held hostage because we didn't want to pay for two rooms. so we just pretended we were camping because the accommodations were much like a campsite. This place was like the setting for the movie Hostel. And the neighborhood felt very unsafe. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
This was not asit appeared. "Redone" rooms smelled terribly as the carpet had not been replaced or even cleaned. Didn't even stay one night but they had no refund or early checkout penalty.
The hotel room had poor lighting. There was no phone in the room. One towel for two people to share. When we asked for more towels at the front the receptionist stated we would have to track down housekeeping for more towels ourselves. No comforter on the bed. We even had to call for our own cab service. Won't be staying here again.
Room size, air con
Windows rattling all night, dirty bed sheets, rude and unhelpful staff, location only good if you have a car
rooms one had window seal falling out no phone no fire alarm broken chain on door broken bed dirty tub window would not lock had two rooms pool was very cloudy no bathroom in lobby.change machine broken machines would not take money.
Nothing bed bugs in had to go to the hospital and the manager claim they haven't had any in 8 months, very nasty
Everything nasty location I'm calling the board of health
It was very cost effective to stay here and take cabs to get around.
The pool was totally unusable, there were no trash cans in the room, the area was not safe, the bathroom was rusted out, the room was not cleaned, and the woman at the desk could not figure out how to check me in.
One of the receptionist were very nice
Our air-conditioning didn't work The water pressure in the shower sucked in the water to get hot and didn't have the stupid rule after 9 o'clock you can't have any gas and if you do you have to pay $10 per person that's just crazy
