Beggars & down & outs lurking around the streets.
Ideally located, great restaurant next door, comfortable accomodation. X
You could tell that some thought was placed into the operation of this hotel. There were no frills but everything was high quality and clean and simple. Really the perfect place to stay. The shared bathrooms were very clean and we never had to wait.
There are not double gazing windows, which is a problem as there is a lot of noise in the region at night. Only muffins and coffee served at the breakfast.
Good location for a business traveler. Excellent price/value.
I moved rooms (but staff were accommodating here). First room was noisy (quite loud vibrations coming from a pipe somewhere in building). Replacement room much better.
Comfortable room with good WIFI. Liked that there was a focus on being environmental throughout so linen would be replaced if requested (but not unnecessarily)
Very small room, and so check this before booking - we had an en-suite bathroom, many rooms do not!!
Bed was amazing! Location very central....
Our room was tiny, the bed fit and that's about it. It was extremely hot in the room during our entire stay, there is no central cooling just a fan. The bathrooms are so small in order to close the door you have to stand on the toilet. They provide earplugs in the room for a reason, you hear: every door open/close, delivery truck at Bloomingdales, random conversation, etc. This was the worst night's stay at hotel I've ever had. I received a total of 45 minutes of uninterrupted sleep
They had good coffee and a good location
size of room, lots of noise and light from the street, smell of room
location and Internet
Even with the ceiling fan, it was quite hot for a spring night. I suspect summer could get very hot.
Despite sharing facilities, nothing was skimped in the room. Very quiet on the 8th floor. No traffic noise at all.
The beds were quite squeaky.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was bright and clean.
Shared bathroom is annoying.
it is very close to GDC
Room too hot and window had no view. Also warning on keycard to use the rooms deadlock was quite concerning. No safe.
Staff seemed friendly, other guests quiet
bed quality is just average and not matching the price
location is awesome
As with most older buildings in San Francisco, the rooms are a little small, especially for the studios that have shared bathroom facilities.
The hotel was only a few minutes from the Powell St. Bart station so very convenient. Right around the corner from the westfield shopping center. Annabelles restaurant downstairs.
Great location in downtown SF, if you just need a place to stay for a few nights and not looking to spend loads, this is perfect
Everything except sweet muffins
Tiny public bathroom on 2 nd floor , couldn't find washing facilities ie no sink.
Location , check in and check out easy. Staff accommodating
No refrigerator, no water boiling inside the room
Very small rooms and fairly noisy.
Within 5 minutes walk from Moscone centre.
Well there was a thing..... at morning one day, i took a shower and got out of the share bath and tried to get into my room, but key card suddenly didn't work. So i had to go down to Lobby. And staff said it sometimes happen. So if you are about to use share bath, check your key card working.
location at this price. awsome.
The walls are a little thin meaning you can hear people next door
The location and room was awesome. The rooms and bathroom was a little small but what do you expect for staying in the middle of the city.
the room is really small for the value. A bit noisy at night if you are staying at the lower level
The location to the BART station
room available without toilet / shower! rather old in respect of equipment
The room was extremely hot which made it uncomfortable. Otherwise the room was nice.
I liked the location of the hotel it was close to e everything we needed.
Wine Down Friday! Close to busses, shopping, & dinning! Staff knew the area well, they were very friendly, helpful & informative!
The bathroom was very small and we missed an elaborate breakfast. Later we noticed that hotels in the States generally do not have breakfast. So the muffins at the Mosser, which tasted very good, were a good service.
The location and modern look of the rooms.
