Score from 80 reviews Wonderful
The service and the food were fantastic. We felt very welcomed. Everything in the room worked perfectly and it had every amenity you could think of. Would definitely stay here again.
Not a thing.
Everything don't waste your money
Within walking distance of downtown which is being totally restored after the earthquake.
The young woman who was on duty in the morning was very inappropriate - loud, saying "no problem" every other phrase,.... Not at all the mood of a bed and breakfast. The room didn't have wine glasses or water glasses. I don't think it had been vacuumed. The instructions about the little fireplace in the room were wrong. In case anyone makes the mistake I did thinking that Napa was the center of Napa County - wrong. It's at the bottom end. St Helena is the center.
Everything about this place was beyond what we expected from such an older house. Everything was beautiful and clean. We were in complete awe from the moment we drove up. The staff was amazing and the food a must try. A wonderful way to spend my birthday weekend.
Our fireplace didn't work but that was ok. With the earth quake they had last year it was understandable.
The house was very quaint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to dining and shopping.
If you are older or have issues getting around, you may want to ask for a first floor room.
Wonderfull staff, yummy breakfast & cookies, drinks provided, clean & comfortable rooms, short walk to downtown
Everything about this place worked well for my husband and I who enjoyed sitting in the parlor surrounding by books and games. We also love to walk and this location is perfect for walking around the town of Napa and into the country side. Delicious breakfasts every day was a huge plus!
That we had to leave :-/
We loved staying there. Walking distance to the downtown restaurant & shops area. They pamper you every afternoon with a wonderful variety of cheese and biscuits. The staff also recommended us a great tour to visit the Wineries. Thank you Napa Inn.
The living space and fireplace was great, staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good.
The bathroom in the oak room was teensy, and the room was small.
The good was excellent!! Staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable.
Needs new carpets!
The Napa Inn is a beautiful old residence with warm and inviting common areas and gardens. The breakfasts were ample and delicious - I brought some of their recipies home. Great location! Easy parking. Friendly staff.
Uncomfortable mattress. Old? WiFi was temperamental.
The comfortable and quiet rooms were fantastic! The breakfast was amazing each day. And the setting was just charming!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Beautiful place to stay...such a lovely experience. Room, staff, food all fantastic. Will visit again. X
Nice rooms, very romantic
breakfast only until 9:30, were not told before and asking for breakfast at 9:45 was not made possible..tricky if you are on a night out in Wine-Country.
Everything you could want for a fantastic getaway!
Great food, excellent recommendations for local businesses, beautiful rooms. We had a lovely time.
The Napa Inn was a disappointment. First, it felt like the accommodations have not been updated in many years. The room felt dusty and stale. We had to literally duck to get into the bathroom of the Turret Suite-- I was so afraid we would injure ourselves getting into the bathroom in the middle of the night. Breakfasts were not appetizing, and the vibe around the table was awkward. The bustle of the innkeeper didn't help matters. Also, the Aug 2014 earthquake has taken the air out of Napa. So many stores and restaurants are shuttered and closed. It is a shame.
We spent two nights here, walking distance to town. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in Lady Helen's room which was lovely, has a spa bath in it which at the end of a long day of travelling was really lovely to relax in
The breakfast every morning was different and delicious! Very filling for a full day ahead., main house is cozy and brings you back in time! Nice touch with unlimited, tea, coffe and drinks and snacks late afternoon evening with complementary sherry and port.
Only thing i didnt like was the smalll bedroom and old carpet. Place was very tidy though and the bathroom was a nice size. And updated. We said in the Tessa room in the Buford house. Very victorian so with that comes many stairs! Overall great value!
The breakfasts were excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Mis Tessas room is not for tall people. My husbNd hit his head (6'3") more than once coming in and out of the bathroom and we both (I'm 5'8")had to be on our knees to see into the mirror to dry our hair.
Everything. We got a lovely greeting and stayed in the beautiful Victorian room that had little chocolates by the bedside. The port and cookies in the sitting room in the afternoon were a lovely touch. I really enjoyed the breakfast too, the breakfast room was beautiful and the food tasty and exciting
Liked the history of the location and the ambience of the property. The morning breakfast crew were superb, had a great attitude and gave attentive service. And the food was good too:-) The property is well taken care of and parking is limited, but adequate. It is located near the downtown area and is easily within walking distance of restaurants and stores.
Our first impression was the person who greeted us and showed us around the property. Unfortunately it was a very negative contrast to the people who owned the b&b we had just spent time with on the Oregon coast. When she finally answered the door, the reception was very cool and we felt like an imposition. She never did follow through on the information she was to get for us and this was a confirmation that we were not too far off on our evaluation of our "first impression." As has been said, "there is only one opportunity to give a first impression."
The room, breakfast and afternoon treats!
