Very stylish boutique hotel with a fab location between 6th and broadway. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly, allowed an early check. Recommend staying at night to anyone travelling to NYC
very comfortable with an excellent location
Our last night there, 10/15, the very young bar staff was quite distracted with each other & their friends...the waitress completely ignored my wife requiring me to actually go to the bar to order her cocktail. We observed the same treatment for other patrons...very inattentive & sadly, a blemish on the Hotel's reputation.
Great location, very nice and helpful staff, they help store your luggage for you, quite room, good for one person or couple
Times Square, 45th & 6th - you can hardly get more central than this and definitely not at this price and having been voted "Sexiest hotel in the US 2013". As a relatively infrequent guest (every 3-4 months), the staff still remembers me. Rooms are compact - this is not a hotel where you practice your tango in the room - but compensated for by excellent location and friendly helpful staff. Rooms are individual in configuration so discuss your requirements. If you sleep lightly, rooms facing 45th may not be your preference - morning dump trucks will save you the alarm call and ensure that you enjoy NYC's early start. Very friendly staff (from Mr Brito in reception) to the chatty bar staff (who will join in conversation and are always ready to adapt opening hour to your liquid requirements) to the discreet night security guard in the corner (the silent smiling Buddha of the establishment). Other hotels costing more may provide other comforts but the combination that Night offers is what makes it special for me and a repeat visitor. Having stayed here a number of times now, nights at Night in New York is a tradition.
The early-morning garbage trucks (showcasing their boathorns...) but then, this is (as the song lyrics go) "the city that never sleeps". Triple-glazing may be an option for the future and as Night Hotel presumably have no jurisdiction over the street, urban living has its characteristics.
Perfect location, very clean but a bit pricy
Room very small
If you answered yes to the above question, then this is the hotel for you. If not, then the lack of natural sunlight may be a problem. After staying for six nights, I am en route back to London in search of some seriously strong vitamin D tablets. I'll also be enjoying making my own breakfast, in my own home, which has not been provided (even as an additional charge) for the last week. And to top it off, in my dark room, hungry, I can only connect to the internet (surely nowadays somewhere among Maslow's hearicahy?) for $10 a day... Yes, if you like lack of light, connectivity and then most important meal of the day - then this hotel, is the hotel for you. If not, then I would nip across the road to the Hyatt.
Staff are very friendly and helpful Indoor smoking area in the bar with an open roof. Location is ideal, 2 steps from times square and many theater halls, walking distance from central park, Bryant park. one avenue away from 5th avenue.
Room was extremely small, too small for 2 people, although we paid a higher rate to get a bigger room, we were told that all rooms are of the same size. Rooms are not sound proof, could hear footsteps of people on the corridor. Housekeeping was very basic, Iam not sure if they actually cleaned the toilet. View of our bedroom was a blocked cluster of buildings Wifi only available in the lobby, for the room rate and size, hotel should provide free wifi in the room. The furniture in the room ( cabinets, fridge and bathroom), are tired, the pictures on the website are a bit deceiving. The hotel has a dark gothic feeling, dimmed lights everywhere including the lobby, corridors, bar, it was always good to step outside and get some light.
The location was excellent. The hotel was warm and the lobby very comfortable. The room was good size for NY central location. The bathroom was acceptable, nice products and plenty of fresh towels and hot water. Lovely complimentary dressing gowns. We had a view of the street from our room on the 16th floor which was brilliant. We appreciated the daily notification on weather and things to do/see delivered to our room with a little chocolate. Free WiFi in the lobby was great. Staff were helpful and polite. There was an umbrella in the room for wet days which was thoughtful.
The pillows smelled of stale sweat which was very off-putting although the covers were clean. We had to cover our pillows with the complimentary dressing gowns to eliminate smells. There was no coffee making facilities and no free WiFi in the room. There was a minibar but we were advised not to store any of our own products in it as it may interfere with the touch sensitive mechanism. This was a pity as we would have like to store water in it but didn't want to risk hiking up a big bar bill! The air con was too noisy but luckily we had windows. If we didn't sleep would have been very difficult.
Location and style are excellent
Staff at the reception was not attentive
The staff doesnt care.
Great location, interior, friendly staff. Would recommend
Had some mystery and issues with mini bar bill... When I was checking out it was all sorted. Rooms are really small. Apart from that, nice place to stay
Loved the decor and staff
My wallpaper was ripped, bathroom cabinet was in disrepair, bathroom shelf was rusty, underbed light was burnt out on one side, shower tile was a bit murky
We stayed at the Night Hotel because we were in town to see The Lion King. Although the lighting was a little too dark, the hotel itself and the room was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and the location was perfect---within walking distance of the theater, Times Square, Radio City, etc. The Night Hotel was an added bonus to a great visit!
There was no view--but it's the city. The bed was called a queen size, but the length of the bed did not seem to be a queen.
Good location. Nice stuff. Boutique hotel. Comfortable bad.
No window with view. from my Window I can see just a wall.
location. food in the restaurant - athough the service is terrible the food is good. after complaining i did get a letter and a bottle of champayne
being woken at 7am on a sunday by the hotel corridoor music - ridiculous. waiting an hour and a half for dinner in an empty restaurant because they forgot my order. no coffee / tea facilities in the room. bathroom tiles dirty. room hot without air con on, but very noisey with it on.
Super central, very close to Times Square. The Red Moon restaurant was amazing
A bit dark throughout! Needs more white than black!
Comfy beds Great location near Times Square Helpful staff Reasonable rates
Rooms a little small but usual New York size!
Their room so tiny small it doesn't fit for 2 luggage..you can't even move in the room ..
When I got there I couldn't believe the location. I had been NYC many times and stayed different nice hotels around 5th Avenue and they were really but Night Hotel's location was the most amazing. And the most kind staff, they were always smiling and were doing their jobs perfectly. And the most important thing : The booking.com staff. Thank you for your help for everything.
The convenience of the hotel to Times Square
The artistic photos didn't sit well with the group we were with.
room was really small , too difficult even to open a big suitcase on the floor
99% of stuff
The horrendously noisy air con in the room
Great location, staff was helpful.
Very noisy location, hard to sleep at night. Would be great if they offered breakfast.
