The down side is it's not very well lit up, given the dark theme. Depending on the location of the room within the hotel, wifi signal could be a bit weak or nonexistent. Also, the air conditioner is making an awful noise, try using it before going to sleep, and only if necessary.
The cleaning ladies can be a bit loud in the morning, gossiping right by your door when you have the "Do not disturb" sign on, or slamming the doors to the rooms around - but this will only bother people that are still in bed by 10 a.m.
This is a really nice hotel, in a great location, just seconds away from Times Square. It has the most friendly and helpful staff, Patrick and Daniela were outstanding, every request we had was taken care of immediately, they made us feel at home.
Rooms are big enough and beds comfy, I recommend the quiet rooms with no view for a restful sleep, the city noise can be quite maddening if you are on vacation.
