Score from 1949 reviews Very good
Great location, even though it's Times Square once you enter the hotel you leave all the madness behind and forget that you're there. Excellent staff. Very cool design.
The wifi could be a lot faster for the price. I was assured that it was a signal issue and was being fixed.
loved the design and location of the hotel. very responsive and friendly staff. very much enjoyed my staying there, definitely will come back to this hotel.
was a bit cold in the bathroom
Location Customer Services
The sounds next room in the morning (upon 9 am)
Penthouse (about 100m2 with 2 terraces), excellent location (1min from Times Square), reactive and helpful staff, bartenders who create an incredible atmosphere -- I will stay there next time in NYC
Wi-Fi costs $10 a day (unless the stay reaches 7+ nights) PH capacity is 3 people, however the second bed is an extra bed very narrow
Decor and staff were outstanding.
Small rooms, tiny bathroom
Location, Some staff Lauren and patrick. We arrived and the lovely Lauren booked us in, she was nice and welcoming. Throughout the stay I must say Patrick was helpful. Starbucks is a stones throw!
Staff jesse. The first room had a dodgy door catch, half the lighting system didn't work (you need lights in this place) and was generally grubby. I went down to Lauren and she immediately apologised and switched us to another room. It got worse with the second room. The door latch plate had a screw missing and was flapping about. At this point we didn't spend 2 minutes in this also grubby room as it just wasn't secure so went again to the front desk. Lauren had finished but Jesse was there. I felt he had a bee in his bonnet from the start. He was rude and made things slow and awkward (he admitted they were in between maintenance guys) but he did upgrade us to a bigger room at the front on level 2. This room was bigger but awful! Loads of damage around this also grubby room, the toilet roll holder was hanging off and the sink was smashed. The window was so noisy, at first I thought it was just the New York noise but upon inspection the window frame was loose and the window section has popped out and the seals were either missing or worn. I managed to pop the window back in to seal the noise as my wife had had enough of swapping rooms and said to just grin and bare it as it was only a base to sleep in but then the air con turned on. OMG like a banging jet engine with a goat inside kicking it every so often to make it work!!! So off I was again to the front desk! Jesse was present and refused to come and see the damage so I went and took photos. He then said he would send "someone" to look into the window etc. Nobody came. I rang down to the desk as it was now getting late (midnight) and we were very tired from traveling so Jesse turned up but refused to look at the damage in the shower room so I said about fixing the window but then the air con was awful and it just so happened to turn on when he was in the door. I said this is unacceptable so back down to the desk for another room change!!
Perfect location central to everything! Very stylish decor. We were celebrating my partners 30th and received a complementry bottle of wine.
Try to avoid the second floor! Can be very noisey when a private party is taking place! 4 out of 5 nights were pretty quiet. Don't forget to include the taxes to your cost we were charged a further£147 to the original price for various different taxes! But don't let this put you off New York is an amazing place which I would thoroughly recommend.
Location right in the middle of Times Square and helpful staff (shout-out to Patrick) gothic theme all black and white. Loved the neon under bed.
A small room, no view at all, paid wifi. Lights in room not good for reading but as part of the theme.
Friendly staff Fantastic decor
Not such a great view from the room
Lost my phone in the cab to the airport. They tracked it down for me. A feat in itself as New York is a huge city and shipped it back. They really saved the trip as all my pictures were on the phone. A ++
Location ambiance staff
size of the room
Location is wonderful Staff were very helpful ( many many thanks to Mr. Jesus Roldan for his kind asistance for our 5 nights stay. He assisted us about every details Whenever we asked and informed us every details about addresses which we needed...
Too small room but enough for 2 people if you stay for to sleep... As a result this is Manhattan... The room is nearly dark, Lights are not enough but The name of The hotel is Night and this darkness is their concept...
the theme, the room looking exactly as shown online, very cool spot
Location, location. And a fantastic couple of nights sleep! So close to everything but soooo quite.
The Hotel theme amazing . One of the frontdesk staff are very helpful his name ( Alexander ). I recommended for couples who wanna enjoy a romantic moments in night room.
Elevator very slow. One elevator for the whole hotel. The restaurant doesn't have coffee . No club available in the hotel. Small hotel.
- location - staff - restaurant - memo given in bedroom relating to the weather
- extra billed wifii (regarding price of the night we do not expect this)
Very stylish boutique hotel with a fab location between 6th and broadway. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly, allowed an early check. Recommend staying at night to anyone travelling to NYC
very comfortable with an excellent location
Our last night there, 10/15, the very young bar staff was quite distracted with each other & their friends...the waitress completely ignored my wife requiring me to actually go to the bar to order her cocktail. We observed the same treatment for other patrons...very inattentive & sadly, a blemish on the Hotel's reputation.
Great location, very nice and helpful staff, they help store your luggage for you, quite room, good for one person or couple
Times Square, 45th & 6th - you can hardly get more central than this and definitely not at this price and having been voted "Sexiest hotel in the US 2013". As a relatively infrequent guest (every 3-4 months), the staff still remembers me. Rooms are compact - this is not a hotel where you practice your tango in the room - but compensated for by excellent location and friendly helpful staff. Rooms are individual in configuration so discuss your requirements. If you sleep lightly, rooms facing 45th may not be your preference - morning dump trucks will save you the alarm call and ensure that you enjoy NYC's early start. Very friendly staff (from Mr Brito in reception) to the chatty bar staff (who will join in conversation and are always ready to adapt opening hour to your liquid requirements) to the discreet night security guard in the corner (the silent smiling Buddha of the establishment). Other hotels costing more may provide other comforts but the combination that Night offers is what makes it special for me and a repeat visitor. Having stayed here a number of times now, nights at Night in New York is a tradition.
The early-morning garbage trucks (showcasing their boathorns...) but then, this is (as the song lyrics go) "the city that never sleeps". Triple-glazing may be an option for the future and as Night Hotel presumably have no jurisdiction over the street, urban living has its characteristics.
Perfect location, very clean but a bit pricy
Room very small
If you answered yes to the above question, then this is the hotel for you. If not, then the lack of natural sunlight may be a problem. After staying for six nights, I am en route back to London in search of some seriously strong vitamin D tablets. I'll also be enjoying making my own breakfast, in my own home, which has not been provided (even as an additional charge) for the last week. And to top it off, in my dark room, hungry, I can only connect to the internet (surely nowadays somewhere among Maslow's hearicahy?) for $10 a day... Yes, if you like lack of light, connectivity and then most important meal of the day - then this hotel, is the hotel for you. If not, then I would nip across the road to the Hyatt.
Staff are very friendly and helpful Indoor smoking area in the bar with an open roof. Location is ideal, 2 steps from times square and many theater halls, walking distance from central park, Bryant park. one avenue away from 5th avenue.
Room was extremely small, too small for 2 people, although we paid a higher rate to get a bigger room, we were told that all rooms are of the same size. Rooms are not sound proof, could hear footsteps of people on the corridor. Housekeeping was very basic, Iam not sure if they actually cleaned the toilet. View of our bedroom was a blocked cluster of buildings Wifi only available in the lobby, for the room rate and size, hotel should provide free wifi in the room. The furniture in the room ( cabinets, fridge and bathroom), are tired, the pictures on the website are a bit deceiving. The hotel has a dark gothic feeling, dimmed lights everywhere including the lobby, corridors, bar, it was always good to step outside and get some light.
