The room was very comfortable and beautifully appointed with a claw foot tub, lovely artwork and large windows. Turn down service was very nice as was linens, towels and other amenities. The bellman was helpful and friendly; overall service was excellent. Front desk staff has an attitude, which was strange because the rest of the staff is courteous and very customer friendly.

The rooms are big and have hardwood floors. The hotel makes a point of giving it's guests preferential treatment in the bar and restaurant. The bar is out of this world.

Loved the decor, the attitude of the staff, luxurious sheets and amenities Light was out in shower, ac didn't seem to work, hair dryer was broken, they need to learn to serve good strong hot tea (mine was weak and lukewarm, even after saying so and receiving a 2nd pot).

service was very nice beds were very comfortable bathroom amenities very attractive bar food /amenities very creative closet space great interiors decor As a hotel interior designer I am very familiar with Jacques Garcia and I am a huge fan, love his work, however I thought it looked like he turned this project over to a junior designer. The design lacked the beautiful interesting details that distinguish his style from all other designers I found the lobby too dark and gloomy especially the choice of brown and black. I thought the restaurant areas more interesting ...also the elevator needs art work.

Rooms exactly as they appear on website. Trendy, fab design, great beds and more quiet than I'd expected. Close neighbourhood a bit tatty but one only has to walk a block or two to be out of it.

Friendliest welcome I have ever got arriving to a hotel. Staff was always helpful to whatever request we had and every time dealt with us with a smile. Room was big enough to be comfortable and had a nice view of the Empire State Building. The bath tub was great as was the very convenient iPad/iPhone docking station. A neat touch was a in-room cook book from the chef of the restaurant downstairs, which, by the way, is excellent (have the roasted chicken for two!). Also extra thanks must go to the staff for an amazing acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary! No issues. Great job NoMad - we'll return here!

Comfortable bed, excellent bed linen, fluffy snow-white towels and bathrobes. Fast internet access. Atelier room is quite spacious but you must think twice booking the Classic room. It may be tiny with a terrible view of brick wall just behind the window. We first got a room which was far far away from what was depicted on Booking.com. Receptionist Marica was very helpful, friendly and professional though and upgraded our room to Atelier-category. I have to say that most of the staff were attentive and affable while the other part were rather snobbish and aloof. This is a choice for people who like plush. Literally and figuratively. Sometimes it seemed the hotel was designed for the sake of design rather than comfort for travellers. Lilliputian nightstand drawers are a good example. Hotel provides an iPad charger on one side of the bed, but the second guest can not use even his own charger since there is no free wall outlet on the other side of the bed. Numerous raptures for the restaurant, in my opinion, are too exaggerated. We experienced long delays and imperfect service sometimes, but it is fair to say - once you complain - all your problems are settled promptly and efficiently.

Wood floors! Seperate rooms for shower and toilet. Fluffy white bedding. The cool library. Great restaurant. Helpful staff My main complaint is that you do not offer free coffee in the lobby or coffee makers in the room. Room service coffee -- just coffee for one -- was $15. Doesn't seem to be very guest friendly.

Design is beautiful. Service was awful, they all have that NYC attitude which isn't becoming at a hotel. I wouldn't stay there again. Also, they only have one treadmill. Seems a bit cheap.
