The staff were great. The room was large perfect for a long stay .The decoy was modern and comfortable and the location was second to none. You could walk most places and if you didn't the subway was at your front door.
Decor, atrium restaurant, library bar, well appointed rooms, great shower, quiet room. Perfect location! A real trendsetting hotel for the neighhborhood.
Bar is great, staff are friendly, bed is comfy, toiletries are the best, location is incredible
Views from rooms aren't great, got charged for room service meals we didn't have (was easily corrected)
Great bed, nice rooms.
Street noise. Windows should be thicker to shut out noise Restaurant temperature is very cold
The bed was terrific, very comfy. Our room was in the back so quiet as requested. We also had a tiny room off the bedroom with a desk and easy chair...good for wifi area.
The hotel is very dark . The lighting in the rooms is also dark. We needed a flashlight to enter our code for the safe. There was no place to put our clothes except hanging space. No drawers or shelves. We were there for 3 nights. The bathroom could also use a make-up mirror and a few hooks on the back of the door for towels. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel???
The Nomad hotel is absolutely fantastic. Worth every dollar. Really enjoyed it.
The decor of the room (and the Monocle and Man of the World Magazines kept in the room), the carpet and flooring in the room, the large windows, the carpets in the hallway - all very well done. The bathrooms were also pretty well done.
The area where the hotel is located is rather noisy and I was woken up Saturday morning by trucks with horns and that was rather annoying since I wanted to stay in bed longer.
We decided to treat ourselves to a luxury hotel in New York and we were not disappointed. We had an atelier room with a claw-foot bath; bed was heavenly; decor very French and there was absolutely nothing lacking. Ate in the restaurant one evening and the food deserved its Michelin star. Ambiance stylish, but relaxed.Staff friendly and helpful.
It's hip like the ACE hotel around the corner but in a more quiet stylish way. Nicer bigger rooms and better showers.
Enjoy every second of staying!
We decided to celebrate our anniversary in NYC and picked our favorite Nomad Hotel to stay. We stayed in Nomad before and left very happy: excellent service, friendly & helpful staff, very nice, Michelin-stared restaurant and a hot-spot bar. You will not need to go out :) Nomad had a very nice surprise for our anniversary, a bottle of champagne along with their kind note waiting in our room. Dear Nomad, thank you for making our anniversary more special :)
A memorable stay in a lovely room and central location....certainly will stay again on our next trip to NY
Really well thought out comfortable room - mostly very friendly staff and nice size nice period building in a good location
The breakfast hostess had a bad cold and sniffed loudly all the way through breakfast which was off putting !
Room Service has 18% service included and $3'sdeliverary charge, but they still leave a space to tip. It's misleading and cheeky.
Impressive interior design...pleasant and professional front desk...attentive doormen....beautiful room..fantastic bed.
The block the hotel is located on is terrible it really lets the hotel down... Opposite the hotel twice during our stay (in the daytime) we were approached by shady characters who hang on the corner trying to sell unsavory items to us. Did not feel safe walking the streets around the hotel at night. The shower took ages to warm up and on the day of check out I actually took a cold shower...it was a extremely hot and humid weekend so I just dealt with it and did not complain as we did have a good sleep. No cold ice water in the lobby during this heatwave however one of the doormen kindly brought us 2 bottles of (warm) water. Finally The restaurant is meant to be amazing as it should be being a michelin star, however the menu is not inviting in a over the top fancy way and is a little overpriced in my opinion...there should be some mid range options on the room service menu. To summarize the hotel is a class act in a terrible neighborhood, kind of like a art museum in a tacky part of town, you visit once and enjoy but not likely to return.
Amazing staff, restaurant, bar, location. Some of the kindest staff members I have ever encountered.
Couch in room very uncomfortable.
Everything's pretty good
For the important cost a living room would be appreciated.
very stylish hotel and rooms. feels like I'm in a paris apartment. great attention to detail. great bar too!
the wi-fi was very slow.
study area in my room
the restaurants were always fully booked!
Decor Location Bars Bed
It's a tiny bit too dark, like an Abercrobie and Fitch shop but more so. Just turn the lighting up 10/20%.
We stated in Room 611 and it had a great view of the Empire State Building.
The location is perfect for exploring midtown and downtown, a great neighborhood for food en cool concepts, rooms that amazed us with attention to detail, originality and cleanliness.
Nothing, I'm serious.
Request room on inner courtyard! Great amenities, good size rooms, top rated food right in the hotel.
Some might want a more closed in bathroom, bathtub area. We liked it, though.
