One of the best hotels we have had the pleasure to stay at. Great view of the Empire State Building, and awesome Library where one can enjoy a coffee, light snack or just laze around. Great location and very helpful staff.
It would have been great to have breakfast included.
The room was impeccable - decorated like a Parisian apartment, beautiful hardwood flooring and a clawfoot bathtub in the bedroom. Great lighting, intimate. Cocktails in the Library, reserved for guests, provided a very comfortable, romantic atmosphere removed from the frenetic din of a world class bar.
Staff was kind of aloof. We didn't have to interact with them very much, but when we did they didn't seem to care very much (the exception was the concierge, to whom I spoke on the phone about restaurant reservations - very helpful).

Soundproofing is not great
The restaurant and hotel staff were very adamant upon making our stay the best it could possibly be. The overall ambiance of the restaurant and hotel itself was beautiful filled with an abundance of brightly colored hues and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed a lively brunch and dinner at the Nomad restaurant and had a splendid time. Anyone staying in the city should stay here at the Nomad.
good location, the room is spacious! staff are friendly and helpful!
A little overpriced...
Immediate welcoming warmth of service Stylish rooms Everything works Great restaurant choices w/o leaving the building
With a total makeover, the windows should have been triple glazed - too much street noise still seeps in Curtains should be heavier to cut down the noise
Stylish hotel in an upcoming area of NYC. Well appointed rooms, good bed and bathroom, all you need. Excellent restaurant and cocktail bars on site. Friendly and efficient staff. Some good eateries within a couple of blocks and Penn station close by.
The service is excellent.
The bed was too short. I am 6" and my feet were out of the bed all the time.
We loved our stay, the staff were very helpful and made the stay extra enjoyable. We loved the library in the evening for a drink. Would definitely stay again!

The location to the metro and ability to get around the city was very convenient. Once you walk through the doors of the hotel you enter a world of charm and sensibility. Civilization in a chaotic world.
Although most staff were exceptional some young staff need more training on customer service in the Nomad Bar/Restaurant and The Library. I would have liked to know of more less costly breakfast options in the area. How about a map of cafes and restaurants close by.
everything was perfect, really love their shampoos.
It was a very nastalgic feeling
Incredible Restaurant Great Residents Bar Reasonable Gym Fantastic Location
Excellent service and in particular a warm welcome from the bar's host; important in a hotel so fashionable with non-guests. Slightly seedy surrounding streets, overcome by pleasant, welcoming and relaxed interiors, enormous bedrooms by any standard, let alone Manhatten's, and plenty of thoughtful touches.
Coffee is room-service only; no in-room machine. This is tedious and spoils the morning: you either have to get up, dressed and downstairs, or suffer the intrusion of room-service. Rather thoughtless in an otherwise very well thought out hotel. Breakfast lacks comfort-food oomph, and orange juice is from the carton, which is lacklustre.
Comfortable, elegant , full service, friendly staff. Very cool restaurant & bar., Loved the beautiful guest only Library room , a perfect late night after dinner destination for drinks and conversation .
Beautifully decorated and well cared for rooms. The restaurants and especially the Library were delightful and delectable. The staff is extremely helpful. Great time.
I loved the room size & decor especially the amazing comfy bed !!! I also loved the Library for drinks & small bites. I did not like the menu in The Parlor although I liked the ambience. Also, our server was not very knowledgeable about the menu. Other than that I loved everything about The Nomad from Check-in to Check-out !!
I did not like the menu in the Parlor & the server's lack of knowledge about the cuisine although I liked the ambience of the room
That we had to leave...
Dinner at Nomad
I stay at the Nomad on most of my trips to New York; it is an outstanding luxury hotel that is quite cool and laid back at the same time. The staff is excellent from the doormen to the cleaning staff. The beds are so comfortable you do not want to leave them in the morning. The restaurant is Michelin starred and turns breakfast into an art form. The Library Bar is a very calming place to put up your feet and have a cuppa or a glass of wine.
Staff, design, unpretentious but cool.
Had to leave too soon.
Pretty room and nice dining options.
Shower area appeared clean, but smelled strongly of mildew.
location was good and the hotel was very nice.
Hard to get into the restarurants for dining. Asked for NY Times morning delivery and never got them.
