The entire building was perfectly designed and stored. The hotel is very properly operated. From soundproof to bathroom amenities, the rooms are perfect in every detail.
Some of the staff at check-in could be friendlier. But the fellow named James was very courteous and helpful. Sadly, some rooms don't have bathtubs.
Having to make a reservation in the bar just to have a drink. Lack of a large lobby area.
Library as a restful place and not always having to be in one's room. The staff was most accommodating, friendly and helpful.
Rooms are great
Staff at reception was stuck-up but staff in general was great, helpful and pleasant.
Rooms were clean
Reception staff was very rude when checkin Asked quiet room but got one near elevators running all night long Asked 2 pm checkout no response Gym is super tiny and pood 5star hotel should have spa and pool, not there...
The beds are very comfortable
Staff at reception can be rude.
Beautiful decor, luxurious surroundings and service, hip and comfortable restaurant and bar scene.
Centrally located, close to subway Comfortable bed View of the Empire State building No stinginess on fresh linen and towels Good service
Very small room even after complimentary upgrade. No tea/coffee making facilities
The atmosphere, the friendly staff
The smell of food in the corridor between the rooms
Everything was lovely and it was so kind that you sent a bottle of bubbles for our anniversary! Thank you!
The design is incredible, so comfortable, friendly staff, great drinks & food!
The staff couldn't have been nicer! They were aware we were celebrating my daughter's 25th birthday and did everything imaginable to make it a special one! Surpirse champagne delivered to the room, complimentary appetizer at the Library Bar, special dessert with candle in the restaurant - so wonderful !!
Quaint & comfortable more for the young traveler. Can see young travelers enamored with the charm.
We are a mature couple (48/52) and we felt like the parents of the hotel guests. Very young crowd (30's). Didn't like having the bathroom (tub) as part of the room - felt like I was in a room of an old west saloon.
The architecture, decor, the staff, and the delicious food and drink in the multiple restaurants and bars. It is in a great location….walk to Chelsea Market and Eataly.
The rooms, the lobby was amazing, the services was excellent and the locaion.
The decoration and the room
What's happening into other areas of the hotel like breakfast area, restaurant etc.The service is treating the guest like a person just visited the hotel from the street.Breakfast is poor and they charge even an extra piece of bread if you ask for it.The stuff is trying to help in a very tight and typical behavior in contrary to the atmosphere that the hotel is indicating
The buzzy atmosphere, the bed and the bath tub.
Everything is done right at The Nomad. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable and the bathtub in the room is a nice touch.
The NoMad is the place to stay if you want to make your girlfriend/wife feel like she is a star!
Staff was very friendly
Shower pressure was poor at best even after we had someone form maintenance come.
The individuality and style of the hotel.
It was very dark at all times and the front door security was not omnipresent. Not the best location in very cold weather.
My go-to choice for New York hotel from now on.
Wish I could stay longer
Nice to get away from the large hotels. Location is good with the subway literally around the corner. Good atmosphere though personally I would like more lighting in the reception area.
Bar and restaurant are popular with the locals, felt somewhat neglected by staff as a hotel guest.
One of the best hotels we have had the pleasure to stay at. Great view of the Empire State Building, and awesome Library where one can enjoy a coffee, light snack or just laze around. Great location and very helpful staff.
It would have been great to have breakfast included.
The room was impeccable - decorated like a Parisian apartment, beautiful hardwood flooring and a clawfoot bathtub in the bedroom. Great lighting, intimate. Cocktails in the Library, reserved for guests, provided a very comfortable, romantic atmosphere removed from the frenetic din of a world class bar.
Staff was kind of aloof. We didn't have to interact with them very much, but when we did they didn't seem to care very much (the exception was the concierge, to whom I spoke on the phone about restaurant reservations - very helpful).
