The Ocean Gate Hotel  

Thought the location was great. Great value

All I can say is, what a beautiful place! So clean, and comfortable. All the appliances in the kitchen were new, the furniture, the bed, the linens, and best of all, the location. Not in the crowded area, but not dead either. Just Excellent.

Great staff. Just a few minute walk to beach and main drag with restaurants and bars. Rooms were clean and kitchenettes had everything you require.

Pool didn't look inviting but beach is only two block away. WIFI connection was very poor.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Easy walking distance to beach, shops and eateries. Would definitely go there again.

Mini blinds in the bedroom let in too much light. Need room darkening drapes.

The room was very clean and looked as it is was updated recently.

There was no real check in. We arrived to a sign on the door that had a number to call. They did send someone over that checked us in, in what looked like was a storage closet with a personal laptop. Not very professional.

did like the the the whole package the room, the location, the staff very pleasant to talk and very helpful. Having the place for yourself having a bbq and very clean.

Had coffee bar on Saturday morning but staff decided not to set up on Sunday morning. Checked in late in evening and no staff readily a ail able so had to wait by pool for fifteen minutes until night staff made their way to facility.....was very accommodating and accommodating once there

Location close to beach. Staff helped move us to correct reservation room one day after we checked in.

Floors needed to be scrubbed. Much sticky black residue on floors when we were moved into room. Would like to have more sun on pool but do to hotel configuration we realized that wouldn't be possible.

The room is very clean and modern. The staff is helpful and friendly. I checked in around 10.00 which is too early but she did manage to get me the room by 12.00. Only 2 blocks from the beach.

The internet is too slow. Wifi on 2nd floor is not working well. I have to come down to 1st floor. And the hotel is abit far from restaurants and shops.

The Location was ideal for us, quiet area but lots of access to nice restaurants and some shopping. It was very clean. The staff were so friendly & helpful. Nice little pool & sheltered area to relax outside.

Convenience and close vicinity of beaches.

Bedside lamps do not operate easily. Difficult to switch on and off. No bath and basin plugs in the bathroom.

I liked the location.

Bedbugs. We only stayed 2 nights but when I got home. I had bedbug bites. My husband didn't have any but I think they were on a green toss cushion that I used but my husband didn't. Other than that..it was a very nice Hotel! Just check your room, I didn't.

The location of this property was excellent.

The bathroom countertop had ants running around it. The shower faucet felt like it was going to break off in our hands when turning it on and off. The shower steam felt like needles and could not be adjusted. The tile floor was so dirty that after getting out of the shower, we had to rewash our feet before putting our shoes and before getting into bed at night. We could not use the air conditioner while watching tv since when the compressor turned on it was redicuously loud. We could not use it at night for the same reason which lead to an uncomfortable night's sleep. A very disappointing stay for the price of $297.48 for two nights.

-If you check in after a certain time the office is closed, so you have to go to a hotel about 3 blocks away to get your key -a little far from the main area, but not bad when taking a cab.
