You could get lost there if its your first time there not because its huge but because you have to enter through a certain entrance to find the lobby. Price a little high for me for it looking dated & they charge for parking in their parking lot.
The hotel was pretty clean but dated style.
No free use of a computer to print boarding passes etc
Large room. Nice restaurant next door. Buses at the door. A better breakfast than some we had throughout the US.
the staff was very friendly, the front desk staff was courteous and helpful. check in was fast and the room was clean and modern
Breakfast choise and wifi speed could have been better for this money.
Really nice hotel with kind old fashion rooms, wich flash you back to 40-50s. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary wine tasting with cheese was really nice surprise.
Stayed for 3 nights and never managed to eat breakfast in the breakfast area, always too busy and no seats. So had to eat out. Wi-Fi only free for 24 hours on a countdown, I was here for 3 nights.
Parking was included last time we were here. It is $42 a day, but they referred us just around the corner on O'Farrel which was $26 for 24 hours.
The staff was helpful & friendly. Our room was quiet, spacious & clean. It's an easy walk to the Opera House & Davies Hall. I really appreciate the locked entrance to assured security.
No view from the windows, just walls and more windows
The location, it is close to public transportation. The staff is nice and helpful.
Breakfast was good and a lot of food but only sweet food
Good position to cable car and so embarcadero, civic center, japan center, few minutes by taxi to downtow and alamo square.
Room 105 is very cold and very loud. It is outside of the main building with 8 other rooms above a outdoor parking area. Beds are much more worn than other rooms. Asked to move rooms and was granted request.
The location is a bit iffy, situated as it is on the edge of the Tenderloin. But convenient to bus lines. The building is old but some of that is charming.
The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, and they gave us a free room upgrade.
The Wifi is too slow and the breakfast is poor
The hotel is close to the center of SF, very friendly staff
You didn't explain well re: parking
Location - great access to transit, hwy and walking distance to downtown The architecture of the hotel, the room Staff are friendly and helpful
Front staff..too rude to answer a simple question..like they do not like working at hotel.
Decor out of date and drab .
Staff so welcoming and helpful. Cleanliness of hotel was excellent. Good value for money . Excellent continental breakfast which is also complimentary.
Basically everything, , old old hotel, nothing compared to the pictures from Booking.com, about 9 blocks from Union Square, I didn't like it at all.
Basically the breakfast was okay I guess. the lady that helps with Breakfast is really great full of smiles which makes up for this hotel.
Horrible guys climb out the window and look in outhers windows
You have to pay for parking separately on a daily rate! That wasn't in the description when I booked. There are lots of homeless walking around since it's by services for them. Construction out our window. Not too many restaurants around. 6 blocks away is a different matter.
The first room we were given was tastefully updated and really enjoyable. The second was what the rest of the hotel looks like, a bit old and in need of a pick me up.
the pillows were hard rocks. shower was not good at all....hard to adjust temperature and water came out in one hard stream
staff was helpful and very nice. breakfast was adequate
Too many people and not enough space at the continental breakfast. Walls are Very thin, you can hear everything outside your room. Parking is very expensive.
It was central to many places
Staff, and comfort
It's right across the street from Tommy's Joynt!
