за сравнительно небольшую цену имеем качество, сравнимое с отелями более высокой категории (останавливались в двух отелях, есть с чем сравнить). очень приличный завтрак (опять же, в сравнении). расположен не в бизнесс районе. но если цель - туризм, то как раз то, что надо.

при выезде насчитали плату за парковку, хотя мы приехали на автобусе :) но без писка вернули, когда заметили. будьте бдительны

Situated - easy access to all that San Francisco has to offer.

The atmosphere, warm, very welcoming, comfortable...feeling at home and all the receptionist was very friendly, accommodating and very helpful when asked for directions and provided us with maps and availability of tour with interested. Continental breakfast very satisfying and the lady (sorry I cannot remember her name) made sure bread etc..was always well stock , and with a great smile at all times. We took a few pictures t the lobby, we love it, a very unique homey place. I hope you boys don't change anything. We'll sure stay at The Opal again.

The people that works there!

My room was pretty quiet even though I close to the street. The hotel is older and a bit out dated but was very clean.

The bed and the pillows weren't very comfortable.

Good breakfast and tea and coffee facility available in all time in lobby.

Staff was great! Every person we came in contact with with was very nice and helpful.

Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The included "Breakfast" was not much of a breakfast,so we went next door to the restaurant.

The front desk attendants were so nice upon our check-in! The provided my friend and I with a map of tourist attractions and asked if we needed anything else. The next day we asked for directions for an all day public transit pass, and the attendant gave us very specific and accurate directions. I was a little leery of the continental breakfast, because when we ate around 9:30 there were so many people eating also. The staff ensured that there were enough fruit salad and yogurts available for everyone. You could tell that there had been updates and renovations to the hotel. It was nice looking and comfortable.

It doesn't appear possible, but if they could expand the breakfast seating to a larger area it would be preferable. The seating was extraordinarily close and while this provided the feel of a Californian 'communal' eating area, it was uncomfortable at times. Also, the rooms appeared to have been partially rehabbed. I would suggest that the remaining fixtures be upgraded as well to complete the look.

The front desk staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were clean and fresh. All of the amenities were as good or better than advertised. The housekeeping staff also were very customer-focused. Overall, it was an excellent value.

Weird antiseptic smell and bad ventilation.

I loved the breakfast and the hotel the only thing is that the rooms are small so I sugest you stay in a suite if is a family the hotel is very clean and very nice is close to all the places you want to go you can take a bus and when we were leaving to the airport they helped us get a great Lincoln car only 50.00 it was awsome if I go again I will so stay there

It is a nice, old hotel with a very good location if you plan to stay in the center of the city. The price / value is quite good.

My room had a strange odour every time I stepped into the room - but after staying in the room it was not noticable. My matress was quite old with some broken springs, whic occasionally poked me. The continental breakfast is the minimum acceptable level of what one can expect in a hotel. Neither american, nor european just very basic.
