very quiet

The room was very warm when I checked in but it did cool down after adjusting the thermostat.

The location was perfect for my situation as the wedding reception I attended was right next door, but the price was more in line with what I could afford. It was quiet enough and the bed was very comfortable.

There was no check-in area, and the note that told to go to the 'bar' to check in was very inconspicuous. The bartender was busy with customers so I had to wait and then the printer was not working so I did not get a receipt. The carpeting was quite shabby and could have been a little cleaner. It had a coffee pot (thank goodness), but no refrigerator or microwave and absolutely no breakfast available on site!

It was very quaint

The room smell a bit like mildew when we arrived. I had to go and buy air freshener.

We were within walking distance of the lake, restaurant and bar.

A bunch a drunks came back to the room at 3:00 a.m. and were very loud for a half hour in the lobby which is connected to all room doors. Not the motels fault, however.

It was convenient to where we were going.

There is no checkin desk, you had to go to the liquor store. The entry was not vaccumed in the four days we were there. We were told we would have a micro and fridge. We had neither. Our towels were not changed on the second or third nights of our stay. The carpet in the hallway and entrance was probably installed when Grover Cleveland was president and it was terribly stained and dirty. It was a mess. I would probably ne ver stay there again.

Bar and staff were OK.

It's old-needs renovation. Noisy and Hot. Pillows no thicker than a book.

My business partner and I stayed because a customer of ours was holding an event at thumper pond near by bit that facility was sold out. We selected this location becaus it was the only other location to stay. The bar was fine, and the two kids running the bar were friendly and the bar food was quite good.

Overall, it was a comfortable and attractive place to stay. It was a very good value.

Room was ice cold when we got there, but it did warm up.

That there was a restaurant attached to the hotel but it didn't offer breakfast in the morning.

The remote for the tv in our room didn't work, the window was broken so you couldn't open it - there was no place close by to get breakfast in the morning and no body stopped by to see if we needed more towels or coffee = bascially we checked in and didn't see anyone until we turned the keys in to check out.

Nice clean room after we refused to stay in the smoking room the first put us in.

This is not a family friendly place. College age? kids drinking night and day and a band that was not listed on the website on Saturday night was very loud.

The size of room

My room was on the first floor which was very convenient. It was easy to walk to the restaurant.

My room was just too hot. I turned the heater into the 'cool' area but it was still blowing hot air.

Proximity to Lake Otter Tail.

Rock bands played until 2 AM each night, so no sleeping until they quit. Did not clean bathroom or replace towels. Gave us new towels when we went into the bar to complain. No hair dryer, but gave us one when we asked. Smoke from bar seeps into the hallway outside of room. Lots of people hanging around in the parking lot in the evening, kind of an obstacle course getting in.

Place is worn out - needs to be gutted and re-done. Flys in the room, beds are wron out. No easy chairs to sit in and windows are so bad you can barely see out. Door very hard to lock
