The Oxford Hotel Denver  

The hotel staff were great! They were very friendly and they let me know that I was appreciated for being there. The rooms and the hotel had modern conveniences but retained the charm of years past. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. When I return to Denver I will stay at the Oxford.

The cleanliness and location...the size of the room...the friendly staff. Wonderful!

I really enjoyed the staff, they were so helpful, friendly, and even went out of their way to accomodate us.

No airport shuttle service

Vintage feel. Well maintained. Super friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. The rugs in the elevators changed everyday to tell you what day it is (good when you're on vacation!). Cruise Room Art Deco martini bar. Proximity to 16th Street Mall, LoDo and Larimer Square. Shuttle to nearby locations like Pepsi Center (which was wonderful since it was snowing and below freezing!).

Having to leave too soon...

This hotel is beautiful! I felt like I had slipped back to an era where great service and pristine hotels were the norm. My stay was wonderful there....great staff and fantastic location. I was sad to leave.

Location, restaurant, staff extremely helpful, room very nice.

Restaurant not open for breakfast on Sunday, however, room service was quick and efficient

Beautiful bathroom, big bathtub.

People in the room across from us were chatting in their rooms until midnight both nights we were there and the sound came through the vents.

the food in the retaurant, mc cormicks, is certainly not as good as it was a few years ago;;;we were very disappointed and felt tension from the waiting staff when i voiced my concerns,,,

My lady & I have always wanted to stay at the Oxford- We were NOT disappointed!

We have stayed several times at the Oxford. The staff is always friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We love the history of the Oxford. It's an old luxurious hotel. We stay at the Oxford whenever we come to Denver to watch the Rockies baseball or the Broncos football. It's right in the middle of everything and easy to get to the stadiums or to downtown shopping.

I can't remember any bad experience we've ever had at the Oxford.

Christmas decorations

Every time I stay at the Oxford (more than 4) I have to fix the toilet so it will flush and the door lock cylinder is coming out of the door to my room. Yes, every time!

The wonderful, caring staff; the comfortable rooms; the excellent morning coffee; the location in the city is close to the Buell and the art museum.

We wish there were more "specials" or deals so we could take advantage of them.

The Hotel was very nice, rustic per say. The staff were very helpful & the location was great.

The rooms were a bit small and when it came to check out they were billing me at another room rate which was way over the cost I booked at. I had to wait about 30 minutes for this to be resolved.

We are not too keen on four poster beds.

Staff was great and the rooms were clean. Great location!

The room was large, comfortable and elegant, with period furnishings and features. The air conditioning was very efficient and the bathroom (which had a tub as well as a shower) clean and well maintained, apart from some chipped enamel in the bath-tub. Facilities were good, with a well-stocked fridge/bar, though coffee was only available on the landings during mornings: it would have been nice to have been able to make coffee without calling on (expensive) room service at other times of the day. The fitness centre was excellent, with a full range of spa services. Staff were friendly and very helpful; valet parking was efficient (though at $28 per night, rather expensive) and there was a free hotel car service which could be booked to take guests anywhere within a two-mile radius. The location, in 'LoDo' - lower downtown Denver - was superb, with the mile-long 16th Street Mall just round the corner (and a free bus which ran every 4 minutes or so and stopped at every junction); it could be a little noisy at night, however, as Denver traffic, while never heavy, is fairly continuous.

See above regarding coffee, valet parking price and noise.

I loved everything about staying here! The people were wonderful, the hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect and my time there (though short) was completely enjoyable. Slept well, ate well, felt great!

I guess it would be great if it were cheaper, but then I'm sure it wouldn't be as fabulous... No complaints.

Location near Union Station, for Amtrak ride to Seattle via Sacramento.

Love the antiques and the updated ammenities - especially the wonderful big tub, even though it isn't a clawfoot. Staff was also great - and since Union Station is temporarily out of use, they will provide a Town Car or shuttle ride to the temporary location a few blocks away.

Wish I could have stayed longer than one night.

The room was a good size and I loved the windows.

The service is exceptional. We had also booked the Crystal Room for my wife's birthday and the staff did an excellent job. Absolutely no complaints.

The Hotel was stunning and the staff were wonderful.
