The staff where amazing.

There wernt many amenities inside the room. no coffee pot or refrigerator.

Historic feeling.

23Rd floor is right below housekeeping. Very loud noises occurring all night long.

The hotel is magnificent. When you walk into the lobby the historical feel is spectacular! The location of The Palmer House is perfect. We were able to catch the El close by and walk to many beautiful sights.I Would highly recomend The Palmer House. A very romantic place!

My only complaint is when we went to have the breakfast buffet , it took five minutes before we saw a hostess. Then she took us into the lobby and seated us there to have our breakfast. While the lobby is a romantic place for a drink , it is not the place to try and eat a buffet breakfast! It would have been like eating it off your lap. We left and ate somewhere else.

Location!

The "jacuzzi", is out of date, extremely loud when running, and in an odd location. You have no changing rooms, only a single bathroom outside of the pool area. The sauna and steam spa are extra (which you need if u want to "change into/out of swim gear", which the hotel requires due to it's location... There's even a sign saying to have on proper attire as a courtesy to the other guests. I was not impressed with it's amenities, at all. If you need a nice place to lay your head, and convenience, this is the hotel for you. If your looking to enjoy a soak, or anything extra, be prepared to pay, or don't stay here!

We have stayed at The Palmer House several times and have found it our favorite hotel in Chicago. It is a very romantic and luxurious hotel with a very rich history. The hotel is just a block from Michigan Ave. And provides a wonderful walk to Millenium Park, The Theatre District, The Art Museum and of course The Magnificent Mile!

The ambiance...very nice place.

Only one staff member was unpleasant.

The Palmer House Hilton is where we stayed on our honeymoon 20 years ago. It was beautiful then and still beautiful now, just as we remembered it. Loved the location for its easy access to the trains, restaurants, shopping, theatres, cultural sights, and more. It houses The Lockwood restaurant, one of the Top 25 restaurants in Chicago, and the food was fabulous!

The only thing we did not like about the Palmer House Hilton is that there was no coffee maker in the room. Ordering up a pot every morning isn't the same convenience or experience. There also was not a refrigerator in the room for chilling water or saving yummy leftovers for those in-between-time munchies.

Location. Beautiful lobby.

Very small room. Bathroom smaller than an RV...had to literally step into bathtub to close the door to use the toliet should not even be renting a room that small. Old tv in cabinet that prevented u from walking around bed very disappointing foe Hilton standards

Good location, friendly staff, clean rooms, good rate. Around the holidays it certainly gets you in the holiday mood, the lobby is fantastic. I think it's one of the few hotels downtown that has a pool and that was a big hit with my two granddaughters Grace 12 and Abby 8. It was also my granddaughters birthday and we went and had her nails done in the salon and they were very sweet to her.

Everything was good, we are Hilton honors and were not able to get points because we booked it through booking.com.

Excellent facility, pleasant staff, perfect location for business and pleasure.

No free wifi is a big drawback, almost a necessity for business and pleasure these days. Outrageous cost of ethernet connection in the room, had to seek out the Starbucks and Bakery nearby for a connection.

The history and the the size.

Big rooms were incredible, however they have very small beds.

We love staying in historic hotels, and the proximity to the Art Institute and other Chicago must-sees is great.
